Specialties
At Rambler’s Rest Monroe, we attempt to rekindle the history of Ireland’s rich and celebrated pub culture. Our culture of hospitable surroundings, good food, thirst-quenching drink, and friendly conversation. Join us for a meal, a drink, and a good time today.
Our friendly staff is here to serve you with Irish warmth and hospitality. Sit in our spacious dining room, outdoors on the patio, or at one of our two bars and enjoy a fresh brew with a menu favorite like Shepherd’s Pie or Fish & Chips. Designed and built as a traditional Irish bar with an urban buzz, we offer the perfect place to come and meet friends and family and stay awhile. We blend the best of the old with the best of the new in our music, food, and beverages.
Try our great hamburger, our popular potato leek soup, or a classic bangers & mash. We offer Happy Hour from 4−7pm every Monday-Friday at our bars and we have Sunday Brunch too! We offer full service or pickup food and bar catering for all kinds of events including weddings, parties, concerts, and more. We even offer white glove catering if you need it. We can also host large parties in our restaurant space — inside or out. Ask us for info today!
Thank you for visiting Rambler’s Rest online today. We look forward to meeting you, and to serving you and yours with Irish warmth and hospitality sometime soon.

Meet the Business Owner
Oliver C.
Business Owner
Oliver Cassels was born in Manhattan in 1983, the eldest of 5 children born to Co. Leitrim native, John Cassels and his wife Teresa from Co. Waterford. In February 2011, after spending a few years working as a project manager for 2 major Manhattan Construction companies, Oliver decided to combine his managerial and hospitality experience to open his own restaurant. Manhattan’s loss was Monroe’s gain as The Rambler’s Rest filled a niche providing authentic Irish cuisine and entertainment. Oliver and his staff are proud to offer an authentic, fun, and friendly Irish pub experience to the people of Monroe. They hope that you stop by for a pint, a meal, and some good times today.
