We stopped by at 10:00 a.m. on a road trip from Florida to Texas, hoping for a donut and cup of coffee. Got the donut(and cinnamon roll and apple fritter), but they’d thrown the coffee out in preparation for lunch. Huh? The donuts, etc. were good and they also sell cookies, loaf cakes, and a variety of layered cakes priced from $ 19 to $ 28. No breakfast menu. The main line of business seems to be the lunch buffet — it starts at 11:00 and runs until 1:30, but the food was already out at 10:00 a.m. and ready. A little early for us, but she was amenable to serving us lunch. The main entrees today were hamburger casserole and chicken pot pie — good down home cookin’. The special was the chicken pot pie with two veggies and a drink for $ 8.99. We didn’t ask about the price of the full buffet. Food looked good — lots of variety — and the veggies were down home items like greens and Lima beans. It all looked good at 10:00…but I’d want to have an early lunch to make sure my food hadn’t sat too long. Décor is simple diner, and service was friendly. Place is just off the town square on 47 South.

I had lunch here today. It was quite good. I recommend the fried pork chops. Yes, I really did say fried pork chops. And they are delicious. Nice friendly atmosphere. Loved it!
