The firm’s estate planning group counsels clients on all aspects of estate planning, adeptly guiding them through the development and implementation of customized estate plans designed to preserve, protect, and transfer their estates.
The firm’s family law practice is full service and guides clients through all areas of family law including, for example, pre-marital agreements, legal separation, dissolution of marriage, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, and post-judgment modifications.

Established in 2008.
Blackburn & Associates was founded in 2008 by Monrovia resident and Councilman Alexander Blackburn. The firm has a strong track record of successfully assisting both individuals and businesses with their legal needs. Blackburn & Associates is dedicated to providing its clients with sophisticated legal advice that is tailored to its clients’ unique requirements. The firm prides itself on providing each client with a high degree of personalized attention, and zealously pursuing each client’s interests. Meet the Business Owner
Alexander B.
Business Owner
Alexander Blackburn focuses exclusively on business law and commercial litigation. He represents businesses ranging from local proprietors to international concerns and has successfully litigated against both major corporations and prominent national law firms. Mr. Blackburn is also a Monrovia City Councilman and a Past-President of the Monrovia Rotary Club. He graduated from Stanford University with a degree in economics, and attended Washington University in St. Louis for law school. Upon graduation from law school he was recognized with the school’s exclusive Order of Barristers award for excellence in applied lawyering skills. While in law school Mr. Blackburn won the American Bar Association’s Negotiation Competition twice at the school level, was the 2005 Midwest regional champion, and competed successfully at the national level.
