History
Established in 1983.
Drs Rubin and Perry founded this school in 1983. For any years Musubi Dojo was located in Claremont, Ca but in 2008 moved to neighboring Montclair — 1 mile away. Drs Rubin and Perry also founded Aiko Institute, a non profit educational corporation in 2004. All of the classes offered — Aikido, Yoga and Shodo — are now taught under the name Aiko Institute. Drs Rubin and Perry published Aikido Today Magazine for 20 years and retired the magazine in 2005. However, the dojo has been fortunate in its relationship with this publication to host many of Aikido’s top teachers over its 35 year history.
