Culichi Town

The service was terrible and the food wasn’t even that good to be that pricy. The only thing that was good was their chips and salsa and even then there was nothing special about it, it was just better than my actual sushi.

Food and drink was AMAZING! I can’t wait to come back! Service was good to the waitresses were very attentive.

Food was not all that. Top it off expensive and no taste and Banda music not cool they will not play a song unless you pay $ 20 dollars if requested. I from hacienda heights to give a shot and not worth it.

If i could I would give this place NO STARS. Everyone that knows about customer’s service will know that is very important to value the opinion of a customer.
We came from East LA to Montclair because this culichitown is open until 12:00 AM on a Thursday. We arrived and the girl wanted to sit us next to the entrance when the banda was across the room and there was empty tables. She looked like she was new and when we told her we wanted to sit in front of la banda. She went to tell her «manager» and he looked mad and he didn’t even walk us to our table.
It was my birthday and a day before I called and asked about the promotion of a birthday person eating for free. (1) it states in their website that the birthday person eats free when you take 4 people with you. (2) it states on their instagram (3) I called and they confirmed. We get our waiter and we start ordering food and we asked her about the birthday promotion. She confirmed us that birthday person was free. She went back to her manager and she comes back and tells us that promotion was no longer available. Like WTH? (4) the next day their website and instagram posted the birthday promotion!
The food wasn’t all that. It was way over price. La banda wasn’t all that. ($ 20 per song? I wouldn’t mind paying that if they were good) We talked to the general store manager «JR» and he stated that the birthday promotion was from last year! Long story short, he acted careless that we were not satisfied with their service and we ended up getting a refund for my plate. Just the fact that the manager didn’t care less makes me never to go back to this place. Customers opinions generate more business I guess this «manager» didn’t get training on how to handle customer’s opinions.

Came to celebrate my friends bday and had a great time! Our server letty was awesome very nice and humble. MR JR was great i was not happy woth a couple of things but in the end he made it better! We walked out Happy customers and very satisfy!!! Im definetly coming back to say HI!

A friend and I visited this location 2 weeks ago, it was a saturday night, music was ok (young group singing that night), the food was yummy and service was great, my server was very friendly to be honest I’m surprised they have such bad reviews on service.
Overall i had a good time.
I tried the vip michelada and a delicious tostada. Next time i will try the sushi.

We came in on a Thursday evening and the place was starting to get busy. The place was very clean but cold! Jessica, our waitress was friendly and helpful with helping us order from the menu. We had the del Mar roll, jaiva tostada, a mango margarita and a modelo michelada. The food was great and the music was nice. Overall experience was great and would come back with friends.

Music was good. Not TOO loud but just beware it is a live band! Food was delicious. All Mariscos. Service was okay. Not the greatest but I have had a lot worse :)
Not sure If I will be back though. I think it would be a great spot for a night out seems like they have enough space to have a dance floor.

This place sucks!!! I just had the worst experience! Their servers do not k ow what the difference between beef and chicken is! They swapped my plate for the same thing and insisted that beef is chicken! I am never coming here again. Servicr is really bad and i told the manager and he did not seem to care!!! Don’t go to this location at least!

I been here a couple of times, good service. I only come to Culichi Town for their sushi it’s so bomb. I recommend the Lupillo Roll and the Guamuchilito Roll, hits the spot every time.

lets make sure you read this, MY REVIEW IS BASED ON SERVICE ONLY! did not get a chance to eat at this place, Saturday the wife and I stop by this place I have heard about, we came in girl greeted us, and sat us down quick, but that’s were it finish, nothing after that, we waited 5 min and I thaw it was taking long, waited 10 min and nothing no waitress or waiter, no one came, 15 waiting and no one came to our table, did notice one thing for sure, it reminded me of McDonald’s nothing but a bunch of youngster serving, some just talking, standing around, and no costumer service experience what so ever (don’t take me wrong, I have young kids of my own working, and they work the same) no experience what so ever, just on their cell’s. Did notice the prices were kind of on the high end for what you were getting, also keep in mind the do show this «black sauce» on everything and everywhere, had a similar experience at «sushi loco» I would think is overpowering. and yes it was some kind of busy, not all tables full or taken, so for this you bring in more workers or just hire more with experience.

Good seafood. Their empanadas are exceptionally good. We also LOVE their salsa! As far as my favorite dishes go, such as torta mixta or campechana — they are just ok (mixtas are better). I’ve definitely had better but these are decent. Very good micheladas though! Margaritas are just ok. Overall, good food. Does get loud with the band playing. The place is pretty spacious as well, so waiting time isn’t that bad even on Friday and Saturday nights. They have a lot of TVs throughout the place, mostly showing soccer. Service can be a bit slow but very friendly.

First time here. There’s plenty of seating with a lot of tvs. Food was good. Micheladas very good. A little pricey but overall I would come back

El ceviche está muy bueno y también el agua Chile verde. Los rollos de sushi están buenos. Les falta una sección en el menú que describan los platillos en inglés y así tendrían más clientela.

Good experience. Food was great. I was afraid to try their sushi rolls but they were delicious and their micheladas are DELICIOUS

Was not impressed! I went during my hour lunch and was waiting for 40 minutes for my food. Terrible service. The food itself wasn’t anything but mediocre. Very disappointed

I had gone to Culichitown in Rialto I enjoyed it there so I decided to come and try this place out expecting the same awesome exprience but I really wasn’t satisfied!
I gotta say the michelada was bomb!!!
As a huge sushi lover! Sushi not so great!
Service was ²⁄₅ some waitresses didn’t seem to wanting to work today or a few would actually forget who they are attending! lol So it took them to attend us 20 mins later after being seated down.
Music was alright but overall experience was okay.

La verdad la comida es buena pero el servicio es malisimo por que nos sentaron y no nos ayendia y le hablamos al manager y llego un hombre horrible se llama joaquim y nos trato como si nos estuviera haciendonos un favor con una actitud repugnante y le preguntamos que si estaba el dueño y nos dijo que el dueño no tenia tiempo y le dijimos que mejor nos ibamos y nos dijo que como gustaramos y nos quedamos por que teniamos hambre pero humillo enfrebte de mi familia nunca vuelvo

Been hearing about this place for years so me and my GF thought we try something new
–Décor place is huge well a/​c lot of tvs, great place to watch the game
–Was seated quickly and was greeted with complimentary chips and salsa the chips are good and they’re made hot and fresh which I love the salsa was pretty good too
*Service was a step up above horrible never asked us once if we were okay, how are we enjoying our meal do we need anything like a refill I had to flag her down and getting constantly ignored so when I finally got her attention I asked for like three things at once just because I know she wasn’t going to be around for awhile so I thought in advance of what I might need
*Drinks I ordered the Michelada VIP I’ve been hearing so many great things about this so I just had to order it plus the picture looks so delicious and refreshing and priced at $ 13.99 it better be and wow what a waste of money it had no flavor or spice, tasted like like beer and tomato juice with tajin in it. The shrimp with the eel sauce was good though but seeing how a regular Michelada is $ 7.99 it’s not worth the extra $ 6 just to throw 6 or 7 shrimp on the rim
*The wait here is way too long specially for seafood it took 45 mins for my molcajete to be made and another 10 min for my GF’s tostada to come out so almost an hour and while we waited we were approached by numerous people soliciting their services for tips one girl offered to take our picture and put it on a postcard two different band members approached our table to sing a song and then a really creepy man in a clown costume offered to make us balloon animals it was kind of an inconvenience to be honest having to tell everybody no each time then with them lingering around, it was just awkward it was like when the Rose lady at the club trys to guilt trip you into buying a rose and the look they give you when you say I’m good haha
*The Food wasn’t bad but nothing special either but I hated how my molcajete was prepared, it camecwith shrimp, octopus and albacore which is the same everywhere and every place I’ve ever been to they serve the 3 different fish whole but this place for some reason they dice it all up into little pieces with a bunch of cucumber and mix it all together. I like picking out the shrimp and saving them for last but it was just pointedless looking at it all mushed up
*Price wise was about right and portions are pretty good
The Verdict: This place is overated and over hyped with horrible service, average food and over priced drinks this place is a miss and I heard on Sundays they charge a banda fee to your check haha IDK if thats true but thats so wrong if it is but do yourself a favor and keep driving down holt and go visit Marisco Lucinsaido

Came here for a birthday celebration last Friday night and I had a pretty good time. The music was real loud so be prepared, but I overall enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. I particularly liked the clown they had for the little kids and the lady walking around taking pictures of everyone. And Even though I don’t eat seafood they had really good chips and salsa and they make a real stiff Corona Rita! All the drinks are very reasonably priced, all under $ 10. And everyone in my group really enjoyed the ceviche and Pulpo (octopus). I knocked a star off because they don’t have a large variety of non seafood items and another star because of the lightning inside. I would recommend the lighting being dimmer. I will definitely be back for the drinks!

Today was our first time here. We came out because a friend recommended it to is since we like fish. It’s a seafood place. Parking was easy to find and the food was great. It has a similar look and vibe as uruapan in Baldwin park but a little smaller and a bigger seafood option.
They start you out with some chips and salsa and a basket of tostada chips with crackers. The salsa really surpassed me! I would come back just for that lol
The food was good we got the fried fish which comes with a salad with avocado and white rice which was very good.
We also got the regular ceviche which was very Fresh.
They had a good drink menu but we only got water.
The service is why it gets a 4star since it was very slow and it wasn’t crowded at all. We would return here though because the food was good.
