I give them one star for at least opening on time. The place is run down. Ripped seats, sticky wooden trim, and poor, poor service make it impossible to try again

Went into this establishment for the first time today had never been before. The hostess sat us down and the server asked us if we wanted drinks, she brought the two drinks to us and said she will be back shortly to take our order. We waited for 30 minutes while she walked passed us several times never even taking a second glance at us. The host came at one point and refilled our drinks(Why is the host refilling drinks and not our server?) Several families came in after us and got seated a few tables behind us, to our dismay our server took their orders(all three families) before us and never returned to our table. After 45 minutes we decided it wasnt worth our time. We went to the host offered to pay for our two drinks and it turns out she never even started a tab for our table! I have worked in the restaurant industry for 14 years and this was the most disgusting display of customer support I have ever witnessed. Not only did she lose money for the business today, she lost any tip she could have earned and knowing how hard it is(as a server myself) I always tip generously. I will never go here again nor would I ever tell anyone to waste their time here. She really deserves to be fired and have someone who will actually do their job replace her. This doesn’t even deserve one star, I wish I would have remembered her name but didnt even have a second chance to look at her name tag. Judging by how many other people are saying it has bad service I wouldnt be surprised if they had her as a server also.

Never ever again !!! This place is a joke. If you like to waste money for awful service go on ahead. I came here with my daughter and husband. To say the least we left right out. I asked for a drink and i know for a fact there was no alcohol in it. It was suppose to be a margarita with patron and uhhhh no!!! The waitress was super horrible, we keeped asking her for time because we where clearly not ready to order but for some reason she continued to ask the dumb question«are you ready… Are you ready??? No! I am not lady! It’s was super dark where they put us. With a kid!!! Come on!!! By a party that’s was super annoying. Ohhhh and to add my husband asked to watch a lakers game but she said the party requested the hockey game(which they where not even watching). Didn’t even offer to possibly put us at another table. I mean nothing! We could not stay any longer and just told them we where leaving. She was happy when we left. don’t worry we where too. We went to norms and had an amazing time and didn’t waste on over priced food and drinks. We calculated on all we where going to pay at elephant. For us three it would had been right about $ 60. I spent $ 40 at norms for stakes and good service and I went ahead and gave my waitress a $ 15 tip for her amazing service. If you want to see a good reviews go to Norms and learn about good customer service, take notes.

We arrived at the elephant bar right when they opened at 11:00. When we first got there we were greeted by a friendly wait staff, and got our drinks quickly. I think they have a pretty good variety on their menu. One of our meals came out a little cold, but they gladly took it back and rewarmed it. The rest of us loved our meals. The desserts we ordered were a little over cooked but, they took it back nicely. Overall, the meal was good and I would recommend.

Food was good. Service… not so good. Ordered wine and it took 4 tries before it was right because the wine glass had lipstick. The side of spinach came out ten minutes before the meal… so we asked to have it with our dinner. Then, when we tried to redeem our free appetizer, the system was down so our appetizer wasn’t free. First time to an Elephant Bar and I’ll never be back again.

So this was our second visit to this location, Both time he had Taylor waiting on our table. The food is good, not worth the price in my opinion but we’ve never had anything negative to say about our meals. The mule drinks are amazing! Service tends to be a it slow but it feels as join they may be short staffed. Definitely a good lunch stop after shopping at the mall across the parking lot.

Very disappointing visit. I can officially understand why so many of their locations are shutting down. My food… cold. My steak, which was supposed to be medium rare… BURNT. My french onion soup(which is my favorite) HORRIBLE and cold. The manager… what manager, he never thought to stop by knowing what was happening… didn’t give a crap. And finally, the piece of cheesecake they(the manager who never came by) offered to offset our meal, which by the way, I assumed was a joke, NEVERSHOWEDUP. Oh yeah, even my light at my table was broken. LOL My last visit forever.

Went in on Wednesday 2−10−16 and sat at the bar around 8pm. The bartender was friendly, but extremely overstretched. I saw the manager twice come out to joke around with him, but never lend a hand. Thus the service was subpar, but not really our bartender’s fault. He was doing the best he could. The food is nothing really special. We got artichoke dip and veggie burger, and nothing was really different from getting this same food at a cheaper place; it was very generic. The beers on tap were generic, with Dale Bros Pomona Queen being their only craft beer. Other than the bar, the place was dead, so I’m not sure why the bartender wasn’t being helped out.

I ordered the shrimp explorer platter and it was fantastic! My server Lori immediately took my order and I got my food within 10 minutes of ordering. Overall very satisfied with Elephant Bar. Thanks to my server Lori, best service I’ve had in a very long time. Highly recommend for any occasion.

First time I come to Elephant Bar and get poor service. Waitress was very nice, but very slow, we asked for more lettuce for our lettuce wraps and she never came, we finally had to ask the food runner. My mom asked for her toppings to baked potatoe and never got, so we asked the food runner again. He was much faster. My order was wrong so they had to redo and then my chicken marsala did not taste good. By the time they brought my new one I was ready to go home. Love this place but, not sure what happened tonight. Hopefully next time I come it would be better.

Live near Elephant Bar so have come here a couple times over the last few months… But will never be coming back. Came during lunch once and don’t have much of a complaint but the last time I went was about a month ago. Sat in the bar with my bf and had the worst service ever. The server was never around and we had to do most of the work, e.g., get our own menus, go to the bar to order, ask the bartender to cash us out. It wasn’t even busy so there was no excuse for the server to be so horrible. And I would say we are patient ppl so we had waited after each situation for the server to redeem himself but after just sitting there waiting and waiting it got to be pretty frustrating. By the time I left I was super annoyed and actually upset at how oblivious the server was. Oh on top of it, the food sucked!

Food is great but the service is slow and it seems like the servers despise your existence, which sometimes resukts in them forgetting something you ordered. But I try to keep it in mind that it’s pretty busy

The food was alright. I ordered the shrimp and chicken jambalaya lunch order. It was too tomato based and didn’t have much flavor. The Mac and cheese side was pretty good but again very basic. We ordered a cookie dessert which was delicious and simple. It’s not like BJ’s but close.

First time at an Elephant restaurant and going to give this a 4 because of our server Dennis. He got us set up with my husbands college football game and provided excellent customer service. My husband loved his Jambalaya but my chicken parmesan was too rich and a little overcooked. I would return and try a different dish.

I haven’t eaten at an Elephant Bar Restaurant in a while because so many of them closed down. After eating there the other night I can understand why. The food that they serve is somewhat of an acquired taste. They take traditional, or otherwise, recipes that you would find at other places and put their own spin on it. I’m not talking about elevating a meatloaf by adding herbs and not putting ketchup on top. Their french onion soup had a tomato base in the broth. There is no world where french onion soup should have tomato. Our waitress was way too talkative. I understand that you need to be friendly to the customers, but it got to the point where she was the only one talking about herself for an awkward amount of time. She talked before we ordered and after we ordered she continued to talk before she went to put in our orders. I ordered some shrimp and noodle soup they had before my meal and she went on talking and mentioned that the soup was so good and that I would love it and no one who has ever tried it has not liked it except for one person and that person has no taste at all. Well I ended up not loving it at all. It was less of a noodle soup and more of a bowl full of noodles and vegetables. There were a few pieces of shrimp, a spoonful of broth, and the entire thing tasted like bad fish. When I asked to exchange it for something else she told me that not everyone likes it anyway. Then I got stuck with tomato-y french onion soup that had bread so soggy that it had started to dissolve into the soup. The rest of the food tasted ok, but nothing I would go out of my way to have again. #40/100

The food seems a little bland. It’s not bad food. Just not my favorite. I think you mostly go there for the environment, with all the decorations and high class looking inside. Their drinks look and taste very yummy. I had the mahi mahi, it was very good. I feel like theThe fish was a little overdone. I would still go back, but it isn’t my first choice. I’d probably try something else. It could have just been an off night for me or for the chef. Like I said! It wasn’t bad, just wasn’t my favorite. :) Try some of the drinks they have those were great!

I’ve only been to Elephant Bar once a few years ago, but never went back after that… and now I remember why… Very mediocre food. My drink was unique and refreshing though: a raspberry green tea ginger spritzer(green tea, ginger root, lime sparkling club soda, raspberry flavor). I’m not sure if it included free refills or not, but I never received one :(For my entrée, I ordered a petite sirloin, with came with 2 sides. I chose the macaroni and cheese and loaded mashed potatoes. The macaroni and cheese was pretty good, but the mashed potatoes were bland despite the«loaded» toppings– some cheese and bacon bits. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside and looks very upscale, but the food doesn’t live up to its atmosphere unfortunately.
