Olive That and More

I love the lemon and herb olive oils. I have tried many and they are all great! I also love the vinegar’s and the salts. The owners are so helpful and kind! I enjoy going there and seeing everything the store has to offer.

What a shame… drove 20 min to try olive oil and vinegar at this spot and got there around 5:15– 45 min before closing. The man at the register seemed standoffish from the moment we walked in. There was no bread to taste anything (that we were too late) and he said they were all out, was short in answering questions about the products, and when we asked to purchase a sample of one of the oils, he said they are all out because the remaining bottles were used in the gift baskets being displayed. Walked out disappointed and won’t be returning. Going to order from We olive café in CA… they have a website… much better service and had a broader selection anyway.

This place has such a unique selection of oils and vinegars! All (or I think all!) are available to try with little pieces of bread and all are 100% worth trying haha. They have everything from some more commonly found infusions like hot pepper but also some really cool flavors like honey ginger and tangerine! All of their stuff makes for great gifts, although it’s a little pricey so it does add up!

We have come to love this store — and depend on it to spice up our home cooking. My favorite is the tangerine olive oil — but I’m amazed at all the wonderful flavors — they owners have gotten me experimenting with different combinations of oils and balsamic vinegars — it has actually become fun to mix and match — and the great thing is you can get the small bottles and try them — before you invest a large bottle (and they let you sample). It’s worth a trip!

I walked into the shop and suddenly thought I was transported into a wine tasting room in the Napa Valley. There are numerous sampling bottles lined up on tables. These bottles are filled with flavored balsamic vinegars and olive oils (not wine) for taste testing.
I came at the end of the day. The owner Steve told me that they normally have bread to do taste testing but ran out. Anyway, they have miniature size paper cups to try out the different vinegars and Olive oils. It was really interesting taste testing the different olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Reminded me of taste testing in a winery. Of course, without the after effects. LOL!
I purchased a 60 ml. sampler size of «25 Star balsamic vinegar». This item was $ 6.95. This was a very nice tasting balsamic vinegar. Neither too sweet nor too strong. Just right. You can use this flavor with many types of food. I used this on strawberries and blueberries when I arrived home. The taste of this balsamic vinegar with the berries was out of this world !!!
I also purchased one bag of wheat baguettes for $ 7.95. These wheat baguettes are very petite like 1 inch long. These petite baguettes are great for dipping into the balsamic vinegar or olive oil. Of course I tried the baguettes with the balsamic vinegar when I got home. They were scrumptious!
The shop does sell gift samplers of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Olive wood type containers are available for sale. Also, the shop sells different types of interesting salts like Himalayan salt. This shop is definitely a fun place to try out.

for any real cook you know that a good oil can accentuate any meal and any bad oil will completely ruin it well here you get exquisite oil it won’t overpower you meal but help you elevate it to other level… try it and ask them what it would be good with… they will help you with all

Yum! I could go here for lunch! They give you pieces of bread and a whole store full of tasty oils and vinegars to try. A great selection; they even had a rare olive oil that my culinary expert friend usually has to order online. Victory!

I kind of wish this place hadn’t opened… because I’m ADDICTED to their balsamics to the point that I stockpile them. I just love the variety of flavors and thickness of the items. It’s well worth the higher price. The customer service is also wonderful… everyone is so pleasant and the store décor is so inviting. It feels more like a visit to a pleasant neighborhood hangout than the usual shopping.

I found Olive that & More by reading a post on Unilocal! for Truffle Oil. I am usually not the sample person, but when we walked in, the staff was soooo inviting, and helpful that I tried just about every oil/​vinegar they have. I used someone elses review and tried the citrus habanero and that was so awesome, we bought a bottle, along with the ghost sea salt, and some balsamic vinegar. will be back soon!

Thank you, Unilocal peeps, for the category email a few weeks back, which turned me on to this place! What a GREAT find! I could have spent so much more money there, but I held back (for now!) LOVE the samples — every olive oil and vinegar has a sample to try and the flavors that I thought wouldn’t taste good, will be purchased on my next trip! (blueberry, lemon, etc…) — Looks like I will be doing some Thanksgiving and Christmas shopping there! Small Business Saturday really worked for me that day!!! I will definitely be going back to Olive That and spending a ton more money for some fabulous oils and vinegars! (they also have flavored salts, and some other gourmet items — we just went for the o&v — I make 5 salads every Sunday night for my weekly lunches, and was getting bored with plain ol’ store bought vinegar and cheap olive oil (no matter what I was buying prior to Olive That, they were starting to all taste rancid) — but with the different flavors of both condiments, I think I’ll have some wonderful concoctions for my previously boring salads (bought the white balsamic vinegar and rosemary olive oil for now — what a GREAT combination! Looking forward to lunch today!!)

Well this place is just wonderful! First off the olive oils are fantastic. They have an awesome selection of flavors like Basil (so good), Sun-​Dried Tomato Parmesan, Rosemary, etc! They also have some amazing Balsamic Vinegars. A lot of people were digging the White Peach, but I enjoyed the traditional one the most. In addition to the amazing oils and vinegars — they sell flavored salts and kitchen gadgets.
The atmosphere is really cool and the shop is the perfect size. An olive oil shop is such a great store for a town like Montclair. These are the types of shops that attract people to the lovely town of Montclair. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner while there and she was a very engaging person. I hope this business does well in years to come!

I passed by Olive That and More during Upper Montclair’s Sidewalk sale and didn’t really understand the need for a store just for olive oil but now I get why!!! The owner is super nice and after explaining to him that me and my boyfriend’s spiciness preference is on an EXTREME level, he recommended trying the Citrus Habanero.
I think having samples in the store is a great idea because THE CITRUS HABANERO IS THE BOMB DOT COM. I can’t imagine using any other kind of olive oil.

I stopped in a few months ago and purchased my first bottle and now I am hooked. It was delicious! I have been back several times and I love experimenting with all the flavors of olive oil they offer. Not to mention, they make wonderful gifts…

I love this store! The amazing selection of gourmet olive oils, pastas, kitchenware, etc. is just the beginning… the décor is so charming… warm and inviting, and the owners are friendly, helpful and engaging. This little Upper Montclair shop is a must visit!

My new favorite place!!! Please, go visit this store — you will not regret it! Unless you spend a lot of money, then maybe you will, but once you get home and start eating what you bought you definitely will not regret it!
My girlfriend came here recently and told me about it immediately. I came with her not even 5 days later. I plan to return shortly with my fiancé in tow because I know he will be in heaven as well.
They have bread around the store so you can try all the olive oils and balsamic vinegars that your heart desires. They are all so flavorful and fantastic! I ended up purchasing the white truffle and the laconiko garlic olive oils, the fig balsamic vinegar, and truffle infused taglioni pasta! You can see all the specks of truffle and I cannot wait to make it and toss it with my new white truffle olive oil and some grated cheese. They even have flavored salts! I tried the chipotle and it was delicious.
My girlfriend purchased their sundried tomato, parmesan and garlic olive oil. You can taste each of the flavors and I think I have to go back to purchase it as well. It is like nothing I’ve had before.
This store is really beautiful and they have so many great and nifty products. All of the wood in the store is from olive trees and it is so unique. The staff is extremely inviting, friendly, and helpful.

This place is a hit, Montclair needed a gourmet market that carries the best products from oil’s and vinegar’s, pasta, truffle products and Charcuterie. Steve and his wife Jennifer are a pleasure to be around, not to mention the store is beautiful and full of warmth.

This unique and wonderfully designed shop is a pleasure to experience. Many many types of olive oils to sample with the cut up bread that is supplied. Owner Steve is an expert on the subject and a true joy to chat with. I left with one bottle of traditional olive oil that i love. Highly recommended!
