Such a pretty store. Always has such great finds ! It is on the smaller side. I like the smell of it. They have new trendy items for home décor and a lot of great fixtures nicely done for ideas

Pier 1 is a very dangerous place for me. I don’t think I’ve ever been inside that lair of temptation and not badly wanted something. Pillows, chairs, coffee tables, candles, stools, pots… dishes galore. I like the arty-world style more than other stores with more plain or modern designs. Pleasing to my inner Bohemian. This last time I came home with sunflower bowls for my risotto!

Ugh, the change in employee manager trainees in this store, young wired women with rules, not a pleasant shopping experience walking around the store when you just want to chill. Too expensive, too for the quality of merch, store seems either freezing cold, or stuffy hot, not an even temp to browse around… too many hassles with the rules on a coupon, get rid of the wired, tall, latest mngr-type passing through there, she is annoying, I think her name is Keisha, Keira, not worth remembering, that’s for sure!

This afternoon I walked into Pier One Imports of Montclair to browse around for items to decorate my home– it’s nesting time. I wasn’t greeted by anyone upon entering, but didn’t think too much of it as I figured sales associates were busy. The further I ventured into the store, the more I sensed awkward employees following me around or watching my movements in the store but still not brave enough to approach me. I say brave enough because as I walked toward the exit of the store, I heard a voice call out as my back was turned, «Thanks for visiting the store today.» Clearly salespeople were aware of me the whole time and chose to not engage with a potential customer. Disappointing experience with micro aggressive behavior to say the least.

My wife and I had a great experience with Pier 1 imports in Montclair. We have purchased a few items and have always been very satisfied with both the quality of goods and the customer service we received. Great job!

I have been coming to this Pier 1 for over 20 years. The selection is like any other store… the one in Rancho Cucamong has more on the higher end items and the one in Fontana closed recently. The staff here, over the years, range from young kids that don’t care to older supervisors that(in my opinion) make the attempt to care :) they all seem to be in a lively mood every time I come in so I return for gift buying ideas. BTW I never get harassed by their staff but I think they ‘know’ me so maybe that is why I am not accosted(as the previous reviewer was) This review is on their products. DONOTBUYTHEIRDISHES! I can’t stress this enough. Over the years I have been seduced by the beautiful patterns on plates, cups etc. It never fails these items chip rather easily and to give them as gifts knowing that they chip rather easily SUCKS! I have bought patio furniture 2 different sets they do just fine so that is a sure bet but MYGOODNESS their items are expensive. I usually will head to the back and look at clearance items. Lamps I get seem to last, draperies, pillows, rugs etc they won’t disappoint but just stay away from the dishware. My advice to is if you get a gift card for this place make it for at least $ 50.00 because friends will not be able to get anything other than their ‘interesting’(and cheap too) jewelry. I like their gift bags and quirky stationary which makes perfect stocking stuffers for the Holidays BTW I like their ornaments too but again will purchase once they are on sale. Respectfully Reviewed

This is probably one of my favorite stores EVER! I buy so many cute things here. I have quirky taste and I am always able to find something. The associates are super friendly, the store is clean and I completely love it!1

If you like Pier 1, then this should be your favorite in the area, if only because when I went there(to help pick something up), there was NOONE in the store. Bad for the store, but good if you want to look around in peace. They seemed to be fully stocked. Oh, and plenty of parking.

This is a great Pier 1 location, which I have heard is an outlet store. Is this true? I dunno. But it does have a lot of deals, and in a much higher ration than its Pier 1 brethren in the area. I don’t make it to this store that often, but when I do I usually find something to buy.(Can anyone say candles, or soap?) Really, these are my favourite things to get at this store, but they carry a bunch of other things, like furniture, dinnerware, home décor, etc. It’s sort of hard to classify all the things they have at the store, but it’s wide and varied, and tends to be pretty in the house(or someone else’s if it’s not your taste). I’d recommend this store for some decorating ideas and items. I think on a certain level, Cost Plus World Market is more my kind of store, but the two aren’t really comparable as they only overlap slightly, and offer completely different things for the most part.
