History
Established in 2003.
I started photographing weddings when I moved back to California with my wife Inna and our daughter Alexandra after living in Russia for ten years working as a freelance photographer. My regular clients included The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Baltimore Sun, The San Francisco Chronicle and many other European publications.
I offered to photograph the wedding of my brother Jeff and his fiancé Kelli in Laguna Beach. I photographed their wedding in much the same candid way I would cover an assignment and within a month I was receiving calls from my brother’s friends and friends of friends. Almost all of my current bookings for weddings still come from word-of-mouth referrals.
Photographing weddings and portraits has allowed me to continue my personal photographic projects and has honed my skills as a photographer to adapt to often very challenging lighting conditions, quickly and unobtrusively.
