Man. Such a disappointment. I’ve been to other locations and I must say this was my least favorite. Came here on a Friday night and place was empty. I now know why. Bar area was super busy. Maybe I should’ve sat there. Sorry montebello. I’ll stick to your El Monte or West Covina location. Atleast there they make you feel welcome. I’ve already wasted my money here I don’t feel like wasting more of my time.

This is my first visit to this location, I usually go to the one nearest my house but we were in the area. The staff was very warm and welcoming, short wait but there is a nice covered area to wait in. Once we were seated our waitress was great, drinks were brought out quickly and the food came out shortly there after. My personal favorite is the chicken mole enchiladas which were really good, the rice was on point(I’m not usually a rice person). Definitely a good experience for a Sunday afternoon/early dinner.

Been here twice both times we sat at the bar area because my husband wants to watch a game. The area is very nice. Food was excellent both times. This time I had the caldo de camarón. My husband had the shrimp enchiladas. I had a spicy jalapeño margarita. Yummy! Servers both times were attentive. Except this time our very nice server disappeared towards the end of our meal. Some one else had to give us refills on drinks, bring a container for left overs. Then we had to find someone else to bring us the check. We’ll be back… I like this place. I do have to tell you something that just annoys the heck out of me and this is a problem for management to handle: As we were leaving the bar area I could hear little kids screaming. We had to walk through the restaurant area to exit there was a table with about 6 adults and their two young children were running and screaming. I knew it was their kids because they were the only people smiling looking at their«ADORABLE» children the other folks in the area were not smiling. Management should not allow this to happen.

I’ve come here a few times after work for dinner and drinks. Before coming in, someone stops you at the door and makes you wait outside before you can be seated at the bar. Each time I’ve been escorted to the bar, it’s not full and almost empty! Unclear why we have to wait when no one is in the bar. I’ve had the chicken fajitas and margarita which are good but I’ve been turned off from this place. I won’t be coming anymore. Doesn’t make sense their workers stop me from coming in to the restaurant.

First, the good: I went to the Sunday Brunch Buffet and was impressed with the amount of selection they offered. The food was tasty, the price was good and the service was friendly. The 2 waitresses and a manager came to check on us multiple times to make sure we were ok(we were a party of 12 — 8 adults and 4 kids). The bad: I have a 7 month old baby girl who needed an emergency diaper change. I went into the ladies room and looked for a baby changer and did not find one. I panicked and ultimately had to change my baby on the counter of the women’s restroom as other women walked in. I tried to be quick to keep her modesty. I would have given this place an extra star had it not been for this experience. I wasn’t a big fan of the décor in the restaurant. It was too dark and looked more like a hall that was filled with tables and chairs. Definitely needs more character to make it feel more lively. Overall, the food was good and the service was also good. Very attentive! I would love to go back for their brunch, but not without a baby changer. I was lucky that my baby was small enough to change on the counter, if not, what other option did I have? The car? In a booth at the restaurant? On the table? I doubt other diners would have appreciated that. It’s crazy how something so simple as a baby changer or lack there of could change your whole experience at a restaurant.

On Sunday(5⁄22) I visited this restaurant for the first time. I should give them an extra star BUT I won’t because they don’t have a changing table in the restroom for babies. To me that is so wrong, when I asked the waitress, she told me to change him on the booth… HELLO, there are other people eating around me, I won’t disrespect them like that. So basically I had to go to my car and change my baby boy. On another note, we had the buffet which had a good variety of items, but most of them were spicy… even the«caldo de res»… I am not sure if I will go again(probably not), but I hope they understand that families with small children need an area to change their babies IN the restroom without having to leave the restaurant. ugh

Been here a couple of times. It’s one of the few sit down restaurants in Montebello. Food is average Mexican food. Had the tostadas for lunch today. I was pleased.

It has a great ambiance! The servers are so attentive. This place is a bit pricey, but the service makes up for it. They have 3 main areas, all family friendly, but if you are here for a drink, take a sit in the bar area! Warning! Avoid the carne asada nachos! The meat is chewy and tough! I recommend the carnitas nachos instead. The manager handled our nacho situation like a pro, with a smile and the attentiveness we needed. we will be back :-)

This is the first time in this location. Food is good… watermelon margarita… awesome. But they need to work on smile and professionalism. I would have given this place five stars… maybe next time

It’s Monday and lunch here was great ! My dad and I sat at the bar, chips and salsa came fast along with menus. Leo gave us excellent service, made sure we were doing okay. Had an awesome conversation with me, suggested drinks and was overall great. ! The food was good too, I had mole enchiladas(which came with a big portion of rice&beans) & my dad had a fish ceviche tostada. We really enjoyed ourselves ! I will definitely be back.(:

Came here a few weeks ago with my cousin on a Sunday around 5. We were driving around and decided to pop in for a drink… Sunday funday! We chose to sit in the bar area. A little wierd not sure if we were at the front door or not? But there was a lady sitting at a podium that took my name and we sat outside to wait. She was going back and forth with her ear piece and finally someone came out and walked us into the bar area. Wasn’t to crowded. I ordered a cadillac margarita and my cousin ordered some fruity tequila sunrise type of drink. Both were delicious! We were also brought chips and salsa. There are tvs throughout the bar area, the décor and atmosphere in there is very nice. The only problem I had was with our server. She checked on us once right after our drinks were brought out and never came back. Just because we didn’t order food or have a large party doesn’t mean you can leave us sitting for 20min with empty glasses. Now, I’ve also been here another time with my dad and we had excellent service by another server. Prices were decent for the amount and type of liquor that was in our drinks. I would definitely come back.

I LOVE the pescador in Bell gardens and also the on in Bell, I have never had anything to complain about. This one was just awful. Let me start by saying that the waitress(Ady) was so rude and disrespectful. To begin, I ordered the«Mar Y Tierra» which on the menu stated that it consisted of «Sirloin» steak, shrimp, salad, rice and beans. So I ordered Mar y Tierra and the waitress asked me if I wanted it breaded or grilled? I was a bit confused considering I was ordering STEAK. So I said«What? No I want it medium well.» She gave me a weird look but brushed it off and just continued to ask me what kind of shrimp I wanted. A while later they start bringing all of our food and they bring a plate called«Mar y Mar» and I told a different waitress that they might have confused my plate, so very nicely she apologized and took the plate back. About a minute later, here comes the waitress Ady to tell me how I was wrong when I ordered the plate and for future reference the plate was called Mar y Tierra not Mar y Mar. I told her, «No I didn’t order that I ordered Mar y Tierra which is why I kept telling her I wanted it cooked medium well.» She INSISTED I was wrong and said«no you didn’t you ordered Mar y Mar, next time it’s called Mar y Tierra.» She even pulled out her little notepad and was angrily pointing at it, like if it being written on there proved that I said it wrong lol. I thought that was rude, not only because I know what I ordered but because she went out of her way to come tell me how I was wrong and she was right. It would’ve been nice if she went out of her way to refill my drink or something but no, that stayed empty my entire meal just like 3 of my other co-workers drinks that were there with me. Anyway… A little while after they bring back my plate with what looked like carne asada. I asked the waitress if she was sure that was sirloin,(I’m a HUGE steak person so I know the difference between them) and she said that’s not what it came with. I told her that’s what the menu said so she said«Well let me check the menu then» and so she did, and the menu of course said sirloin. She came back to say something along«well that’s how we make it here.» Ok I shut up and ate my plate but that’ll be the last time I dine there. Terrible customer service, not to mention the waitress’ attitude was completely uncalled for. Picture of «Sirloin» steak for reference.

Has a nice time for dinner, karaōke was fun. The karaōke host n hostess were great working the crowd. I didn’t sing, but it was good to see other people who sang have fun. The bartenders and staff were all attentive and accommodating. Nice and courteous staff a gigantic plus. I’d come back, good for groups

Finally this corner has a restaurant again. How come nothing on this spot never works out? Oh well, glad to say we now have a new dinner option when in the area. Just give yourself some time or don’t come during peak meal hours if you hate to wait. Yeah, the service was off but I really can’t fault them all that much since it just opened up. The machine needs to be oiled some more. Really enjoyed the ceviche tostadas and shrimp cocktail. Also ordered the nachos and chicken fajitas, but they weren’t exceptional. The standard rocks margarita was really tasty and sour. The basil lime margarita wasn’t my cup of tea, but I could see it’s appeal to others. Overall, glad a well-known family franchise is on this block. They have several big screens in the bar area, so you know it’ll be crowded on game days. Hope it works out!
