It’s always a pleasure going in & talking to these guys just to catch up on all the happenings in and around beer-​ism.
Forgot to mention they sell cigars, distilled spirits & munchies!
My favorite thing to do is skateboard here from my house & come home with quality brews for my college football Saturday’s!

This is a cool spot. Good variety of alcohol, fair prices (I just wish they had prices on the merchandise) The staff is friendly and I am a regular here. You might be also if you stop and check it out.

Great staff, have every selection you can think of plus in 2015 they will have a cooler for their liquor! Plus I’m a regular :)

The address is correct but on the Unilocal map it gives a whole different location. Unsure of this mistake but it is definitely Unilocal problem. Use there address on google map. Best way!

A hidden gem. Awesome selection of micro brews. It has been under my nose for the last two years since I live half a block away. I am in trouble.

Good craft beer. And very current on the beer that hard to get. Prices are great also. Highly recommend!

I live in Montebello and I’m barely finding out about this hidden gem today!!! And I drive by this place just about every day! Lots of craft beers!
Found this place by complete chance while Unilocaling cigar shops nearby my area and this place popped up. (wanted to get some stogies to ring in the new year and didn’t feel like driving out to Havana House or some other cigar shops that aren’t very close to me). I wasn’t expecting a selection like Havana House or anything but they did have a much better selection than I expected (thanks to whoever uploaded the pic of their cigars!). Oh and the guy (didn’t catch his name) was EXTREMELY helpful. It was crazy busy and he was still giving me detailed info on the cigars. I bought a couple and was also gonna pick up a bottle of vodka and again, he was extremely helpful and recommended an Australian vodka which I’ll be trying later tonight (felt like trying something different).
I’m definitely gonna be a returning customer… Especially for those craft beers!

I am about to drop 5 stars on a liquor store right now, and no its not because I bought the winning ticket to the lottery here.
The incredible selection of microbrews here will make any self titled beer aficionado jump for joy. I’ll go as far as saying that when it comes to craft brew, this place is better than BevMo. This is the beer selection other liquor stores should try to compete with, because this place is «as good as it gets!»

At first glance Garfield Liquor looks like any other East L.A. convenience store. It stocks all the expected items: snacks, alcoholic/​soft drinks, tobacco products, newspapers and lottery services. As you explore further you notice that it also provides unconventional items such as fresh cigars, craft beers/​spirits and 1% check cashing service.
PROS:
The most important thing I experinced after spend some time at Garfield Liquor is how friendly and personable the manger and staff are. They greet their costumers and remember the names of their regulars.
What sets this liquor store aside from others in Montebello is its wide selection of quality «craft beers». Whither you enjoy stouts, Belgians, sours or IPAs Garfield Liquor has something for any beer connoisseur to enjoy. If you are unsure of which beer to purchase Mark the manager is more than happy to personally assist you in a selection.
CONS:
The store front is overly cluttered with signage, which in my opinion doesn’t properly represent the high end products inside. There are usually boxes blocking the walkways making it difficult to maneuver or view and access some of the beers.
CONCLUSION:
Whether you are looking to purchase general items or taking advantage of their high-​end spirits, beers or cigars you well receive a friendly experience. If you are a craft beer lover and live in Montebello there is no other store that provides this level of selection in the city. Their service and selection makes Garfield Liquor unique and special store in the City of Montebello and deserves a visit.

Going into that store is insane I’ve never seen such a wide verity of craft and micro
brewed beer! There a must go to store! So many breweries I’ve never even heard of the staff is very knowledgable about all the products and will spend the time to suggest the perfect beer for you!
