I’ve been a LensCrafters customer for a couple of years now and never have I had a bad customer service experience as we did last night. My boyfriend and I were heading to this location to pick up his glasses around 7:30pm, keep in mind the mall doesn’t close until 9pm and it was not busy. We walk in and 2 associates are talking to each other, and 1 is with a customer. We wait there for a couple of minutes, then we are treated and sent to the tables where customers pick up their glasses. The female associate with dark red/​burgundy hair comes up to us and ask for my bf’s name. Hands him his glasses and walks away letting him know he can try them. He tries them but the associate doesn’t stay to make sure his glasses are fine or if he had any questions. After he tries them she comes back and says «good?», «ok here is your case». Before she even tries walking away I ask for a couple of samples of the cleaning wipes as the LensCrafters I go to offers them. She drops the wipes on the table (Rude!). And again before she tries walking away I stop her and ask to her to give us a bag, (you would think they would give you one), she didn’t seem happy and gives us one with a straight face. Like c’mon how difficult is it to ask customers question, put the merchandise in a bag and say «have a good night guys and thank you for shopping her». Pretty ridiculous. This would be the last time I ever go there.

I LOOOVE my new glasses! The customer service here was far beyond my expectations. I wish i would remember the lady’s name who helped me so i can give her the credit she deserves. Someone walked around organizing the frames and offered help, but i kinda just wanted to look around on my own for a bit. She then noticed me holding a few frames and offered me a tray to gather all of my options which I loved because i easily took them all in front of a mirror and tried them on. But then came the helpful little Asian lady with her Ipad and offered to help me eliminate some options. Yesss! Because i would’ve probably spent another hour re trying all the glasses on and gotten no where with my decision. She was so funny and friendly, so i had a fun time choosing frames. I was a little uncomfortable at first, but it was a great, fast, and efficient way of eliminating options. She took a picture of me with each frame and then put them all side by side. Awesome idea! I chose my favorite and paid a reasonable amount with my AAA discount :)… The AAA discount ended up being a better option than the «special» they had. You can’t combine both. Bummer. :/​
Bonus: i even got a little tour of their exam rooms. They were far more advanced and clean than JCPenney.

I am so dissatisfied and disappointed with service and lenses. I’ve been struggling in getting lenses corrected and assistant manager or supervisor is so impatient and can’t comprehend customer needs I spend over $ 350 plus insurance in addition $ 25 to replace lense and they still can fix my lenses material is too thick. The store assistant or manager starts arguing and just kept stating that she couldn’t help me that I would have to pay more money to get more expensive lenses and starts arguing and tells me to get out of her store screaming, really? She doesn’t understand customer satisfaction is crucial in any business. I’ll take my business elsewhere. I will never go there again. They need to get rid of her and give the job to someone who really needs a job and not argue with customer instead listen to customers needs and try to help not irritate customer.

WORST!!! customer service ever!!! Nobody greets you when you walk in! No smile, no hello! The manager is very rude and loud! You’re better off going to the eye exam place that is upstairs right next door to Cinnabon!

NO Customer Service Skills at All !!! From the time I walked into this location in montebello there was no greeting from none of the 4 employees working. I waited about 5 minutes looking around & still No one to help me ! It’s ok I’ll take my business elsewhere

This is the second time I have been to this place and been shut down as a customer. The first time I went there I just walked in and asked how much it would cost to replace a lens since I had a small scratch. The lady was very rude and quickly told me over 300 like she was trying to scare me away so I wouldn’t bother her even though I had this done with my girls glasses for like $ 60 – 80 in Anaheim when she scratched hers the day after she got them. Whatever I didn’t even mention it just took my business back to the other store I got them from originally later and purchased a complete new pair that were a different color. This time I just went there because my other glasses I got for my girlfriends 9 year old son had the nose piece fall off about 2 weeks after I purchased them. I ordered it from Nancy who saw the little guy and she just wrote a note on a paper and said she would handle it. I waited over a month and went back in and asked again. Another girl helped me and said sorry they are not ready yet and it’s just how it is with Oakley they take forever. I asked if I could have the order number or reference number so I could call them myself because it’s not fair that his brand new expensive glasses I got him are hurting him every day because they have pegs digging into his skin. She said they were not allowed to give those numbers out and they already ordered them twice. So I just figure they probably never ordered them. Today my girl’s kid got hit in the face by accident at school by another student and the glasses actually cut him and put a long scratch on the soft spot next to his eye and he was bleeding. Needless to say I felt terrible and was really upset with lens crafters now. So I called the store and tried to speak with the GM Carrie, but she was not available. So I called up the lens crafters in Anaheim and the guy was surprised and said we normally don’t make people wait we just replace the complete frame. So I took the 2 hour round trip back to Anaheim and got them replaced in less than 10 mins no questions asked no paperwork. I have purchased 2 sets of Burberry Glasses and Oakleys and contacts for me 1 set of tiffanys glasses for my girl and 1 set of adult oakleys for her son all with protection plans. I buy all high end items and I don’t expect the wal-​mart treatment when I am going to lens crafters. This place really could care less about their customers and a child’s safety. I would suggest you stay away from this store it’s full of lazy people and visit a different location.

Dishonest salespeople. Girlfriend came in to just get her glasses looked at due to some scratches to see what can be done about them (she got the glasses there 3 years ago). They didnt help us with that and insisted she get a new eye exam AND a new frame. What? They said her lenses were in bad shape and were due to break really soon. Thats BS. I dont see how her $ 300 frame is on the verge of breaking after just a few years. Theres no damage to the frame, just some color fading just like my old pair which lasted over 10 years.
Save your money and go to Costco instead.

DO NOT COME HERE! Last year I replaced my glasses at this store due to the convenient location for me. The salesperson who sold me the glasses lied to me about the product. Basically, the store stole my money. It was suggested that I purchase a «protection» option to fix the glasses should a problem arise. This year I noticed my glasses needed some professional maintenance so I was going utilize the «protection» plan. Once I got there I was told I needed to pay $ 100 for the repair. The protection plan was complete bogus! The salesperson did not mention at all the real implications of this «protection» plan. I even called the store to ask for an explanation but the saleswoman was completely rude and careless. I will no longer make any purchases at this store or any other lenscrafters. I’ll also be sharing my experience with friends and family before they do business with this store.

I usually go to the lenscrafters in Downey but I wanted to go to montebello mall & im glad!

2. They only took an hour to give me the glasses back! (It takes 2hrs in Downey).
I needed to update the lenses on my glasses with my new prescription. I kept the same frame so I got 25% off. Regular price for the anti-​glare lenses are $ 330 but with the discount it came out to $ 245. I will definitely go back to change the prescription on my sun glasses. That will cost me $ 135 with the discount as well because I will use the same coach frame.

Their glasses give me headaches! I have been in to redo my glasses twice and still these glasses give me headaches. I will NEVER go in this store again. Yes STORE because They try to upsell everything, and there is NO quality in their work. I mean EVERYONE not just the sales and clerks. The Optometrists feel they will tell YOU what you need to wear. Your opinion or the fact that these are YOUR eyes do not matter. Yes Im upset enough to come in here and write a review, thats how bad these glasses are.
If you are happy with your current optometrist DONT switch. I did and its was a BIG mistake. I’ve been wearing glasses for over 15 years and I wanted to try some of their fancier frames. But trust me they will give you the wrong prescription and get upset when you tell them it makes your head hurt. I ended up going back to my optometrist to ask him to give me the prescription because they wouldnt refund but would exchange and they STILL got it wrong. Contacts from my old optometrist are great. glasses from these guys HEADACHES! No excuses, they had three opportunities to correct the lenses and what did they do? Say «oh well every result is different»…What? My eyes are the same! c’mon people get it together~

I love the fact that you’re glasses are done in one hour, the one thing i didn’t like is that i paid full price for my DGs im back after one hour and i have to pay separately for the eye exam $ 65 if i paid full price, acorting to them they are two different companies in there. Not a way of conducting buissness, my glasses were $ 356.57 + $ 65

I came from 3 other LensCrafters before I came to this one, the other 2 had ran out of the frame I was looking for & other one didn’t have the right machine to make my prescription lens (but it did have the frames), but it would take 2 weeks for them to have them ready. All other LensCrafters store said that this LensCrafters should have them. When I arrived there the associate came up to me asking if I need any help, told her the frames I was looking for and immediately said no these are all the frames we have, didn’t even bother looking for them, we asked if she can check the system to see if they will have any in stoke but she didn’t even bother she just told us how the system work. Note that even though the other store where sure they didn’t even have it because they sold out of it, they still put effort into looking for it in other spots of the stores, LAZIEST EMPLOYEES EVER!!!

Worst experience ever! Store manager, Carrie, is so rude and unprofessional. I went in to exchange my glasses that were defective. She wouldn’t let me explain the situation, instead she proceded to talk over me and practically yelled at me (all while chewing her gum). She insisted on blaming wear and tear. Don’t waste your time or money coming here!

I loved my experience here. I was a skeptic at first but the staff is friendly and Dr. Alex is great! I love my glasses and there was one staff member who really went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with my experience here. Would definitely recommend!

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! If your going to get contacts and you have a special prescription, DO NOT USE this place. They tell you your order will be in 14 working days and it takes them more than a month. They have the worst customer service also. The only reason I went there was because of my Insurance. NEVER AGAIN! t

The service here is great and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. However, I went in for an eye exam and I felt slightly tricked into getting the Optomap as part of my exam (where they take a picture of the back of your eyes). During the exam I happened to ask what I was exactly getting for my standard eye exam and I felt the woman was beating around the bushes with her answer, whatever it was. So I continued with my exam. When I was done with everything, paid, and looked at my receipt, sure enough I was charged for an Optomap which is supposed to be an OPTIONAL part of your exam (costing $ 39!). I realized that they did this to me the year prior as well.
I feel that they should ask before doing the Optomap and not include it in our exam without our permission.
Other than this, the staff are friendly and very accessible if you have questions.

I’m blind as flying rodent, so places like this LOVE me. They charge up the wazoo for hi-​index, UV coated, etc.
Might I recommend NOT getting the Transitions. Stupid design doesn’t darken enough to be sunglasses, but stays dark enough to annoy you when you go indoors. I still have to squint outside.
All said and done, my glasses came out to a little over 500 bucks. This is with all the niceties that come with making my coke bottles as practical and comfortable on my visage.
They do a nice job of fitting the glasses on your countenance, and the girl that helped me was nice to look at
I didn’t like the glasses available at Walmart, so I came here. maybe next time I’ll try to find cheaper frames elsewhere.

I came here to get my prescription filled, after getting my eye exam at the Costco down the street. I was wary of this Lenscrafters because of the reviews. I called and the person over the phone was very friendly. I took this as a good sign.
When I arrived I was kindly greeted and was given a box to put frames that I was interested in. They had a decent selection. This is my first time getting glasses so I’m not sure about what is expensive or what is a large selection.
It wasn’t difficult to find someone for assistance. They were informative when I asked about different types of lenses. After about 20 minutes of looking at frames I decided on one. The process was easy. I don’t believe they make most of there money on sales. The sales person. Alissa? I forgot her name, unfortunately. But, everyone there was nice. I felt comfortable.
They told me they would be ready in an hour. I went to Starbucks, read a book for an hour and went back.
AAA members get 30% off a complete set of glasses. Awesome.
I see no reason not to go back until I find a less expensive alternative.
