Montebello Tire Pros

I’ve been coming here for years just to pick up a new set of tires. I’ve always found the prices on tires to be fair and at times, too good to pass up. I recently started bringing in my car for oil changers or other car needs I may have. All the staff on hand is very helpful. Adolfo especially makes my visit that much better. He is very honest and open about my vehicle and I have never felt that uneasy feeling you get with other mechanics. You know that feeling; it’s the «is this guy telling me a story to get unneeded work down on my car». You will not get that here. I would suggest bringing in your car early on Saturdays since they get busy fast.

I went right in for a flat tire. They removed it plugged it fixed it and got me out of there in about 15 to 20 minutes for a heck of a price. They’re fast efficient and I highly recommend them

I’ve been coming here for a while now and I’ve never had a problem! Prices are great, I’ve never had to wait long and they guarantee their work! I’ve dealt w Isaac & a few of their mechanics and everyone is super nice and helpful! I’d definitely recommend it, they at least give you the best options and prices! Making an apt is probably the best idea because they do get busy but even as a walk in I’ve never waited long! I’m definitely coming back!

I gave this place one star for customer service. I have been going here for years. I brought my truck in for an oil change and the man at the desk proceeds to have this conversation with me:
Guy: Do you get your work done somewhere else besides your oil change?
Me: Yes, I have a friend
Guy: Why doesn’t he do your oil change then?
Me: I haven’t asked him
Guy: well I’m losing money basically because you’re only coming for oil changes.
I almost lost it. How unprofessional is that!!! If there weren’t other people there and my truck wasn’t in the bin, I would have told him off and gone somewhere else…
I get emails for deals and to tell me it is time for my oil change. I responded by saying I will not be returning. The owner emails me back and I told him why. He apologized and said he will give me a free oil change. Never received anything. Will not be going back there again.
They get a 0 for Customer Service!

Great job by Issac and Adolfo awesome service. Fast and good coffee too. This time was for an oil change.

Our Company Always take our fleet vehicles here and they are always on top of it very polite and most of all fair priced I even take my personal car to them and the most honest Mechanic shop I have been to by far

First time here. I came to get a brake light replaced. Took way to long. An hour. However, price was great. Only $ 10.00 includes parts and labor. Other places I pay $ 30 staff was courteous

I went in to ask about getting some work done , I have never had work done there before I just found it close to my house so decided to go in, I did not appriciate them lying to me so that I would do the job with them, I have a lot of knowledge in auto repair and everything he was saying made me feel uncomfortable, who knows what else would be made up after the job was started, with that alone I will not be going back there, beware people

Scumbags! Took my car & they told me my water pump had to be replaced. Charging me a lil over 500. Took my car to my friends shop to get a second look at it & it was just the radiator cap that had to be replaced! Do not go there!!!

I had a mixed experience here, but they get four stars because credit where credit is due… they are honest!
This was my usual spot for repairs and oil changes. Always good customer service, friendly staff, and no problems, until I had a piece in my tire well break and brought it in. They completed and charged me for the repair, and I went on my merry way… until two days later when, on a road trip from LA to San Francisco, the same piece broke again, leaving me stranded in Coalinga.
It was a very difficult experience leading to a lot of costs involving motels, repairs, and towing, and I was pretty angry. I called them to demand that they cover the cost of the second repair and all financial loss caused by the breakdown, and I was expecting a fight from them, but to my surprise they agreed almost immediately. All I had to do was bring in the receipts from the trip and keep them updated on the cost of the second repair.
They were as good as their word and covered every dollar lost, including the gas cost for my husband to drive 3.5 hours to come pick me up and rescue me after I’d been huddled in a Starbucks for the better part of a day. They clearly care about customer relationships and business integrity. It’s regrettable that there was a mistake with the repair they did but I give them heartfelt props for doing the right thing by me and making sure they did what they could to make amends.

I have never had better customer service than here at Montebello Tire Pros.
Picture this, you’re going from LA to Phoenix, Arizona and having your car become unresponsive on the freeway. Uh oh. Ok. Time to find a shop. Now, add in the fact that it’s CHRISTMAS EVE at about 3pm. Double uh oh.
I called Robert asking if he was open and he said he was closing shop. Oh no. I said I was right around the corner and didn’t know what was going on with my car, and he reluctantly said ok. I pulled up and immediately three guys started checking everything out. Very quickly they explained that the job was going to take a while, and it was Christmas Eve so it was time for everyone to go home, but definitely it was a fixable problem and they would start as soon as possible. Robert called a rental car company and had us set and on our way as fast as he could.
Now, on Christmas they were closed (obviously) but as soon as they opened on the 26^th, Robert called me to update me on the work. He was very clear with me as to what needed to be replaced and why, and said he would do everything he could to keep the cost down, while also making sure everything was fixed. As they continued work he kept in touch, and made sure I was aware of everything that was going on. He also knew we were on a time crunch getting back to LA for my red-​eye flight, so he prioritized us and made sure it was ready well ahead, just in case.
They did a great job, fixing the problems I had and not adding any extras to the job. He also clarified a few other jobs that needed to be done, but didn’t pressure me to do them right away as some mechanics do.
Believe you me, I may live in LA, but I’ll be coming to Montebello for all my auto repair needs. Thank you Robert! You made it a possibility for us to have a happy Christmas even though we had major auto issues! Thank you!

Just got my oil changed, checked in through Unilocal and got a coupon. Total cost was $ 17.00. They rotated my tires and checked my tire pressure. They told me I needed new breaks, but didn’t pressure me to get the job done. I recommend this place.

First time customer today and was extremely satisfied with the service! I had a promotional offer from a LA Galaxy game for half off an oil change and they threw in a tire rotation for free. They mentioned that my air filter should be replaced soon or they can do it now if I’d like, but there was no sales pressure at all (unlike going to the dealerships). Service was friendly & fast!

Don’t come here if you want quick service. Expect a minimum wait of 3 hours. Only one customer ahead of me. I just needed four tires installed & alignment check when I had tirerack deliver them to this store. Not a kid friendly place. Nothing to keep them occupied. WARNING below:
BE CAREFUL! They offered a free alignment check & of course when they stated that after they installed my tires that the manufacturer won’t approve my warranty if I don’t get my tires aligned. Wtf? Should’ve told me that before. So of course I got the alignment for $ 200 just to keep the warranty on my tires. No other place mentioned that to me. America’s tires doesn’t say that. Spent a lot more than I wanted to &/​or expecting. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! They instilled fear to gain more$. I expected to spend $ 40, but got out of there spending $ 300. Pissed me off.
They made me blow my top off! Mind you I have two kids & these idiots after telling them that I was going to put my old rims back in garbage bags so the brake dust doesn’t go anywhere in the car, they actually put the dirty ones already in the car! Brake dust is now on my front passenger seat (the dirty, brake dusted rim was literally on the seat) & the two car seats! What were they thinking? Oh wait, they weren’t. They gave me a free car wash, but what about my time & my appointments that I had for the day? Can they help with that! All I did in one day was waste my time @ this place & had problems after another with no other time to do anything else I needed to do. $$#!(=$=!!!

I bought my own tires and wanted them to mount and balance them. After I drove home i noticed that the lug nut was completely stripped and destroyed the stud to one of my wheels. Not too happy about it

rip off. mechanics dint know Jack about diagnosing a car. guy upfront just want to make a quick sale. no freaking idea on how to fix crap. not bringing my car to them ever again. got four tires then says maybe if you get all for suspension that week fix it. guy revved the crap out of my car pulling in the lift.

My Brief Review: I’ve been here several times for both tire and mechanical repairs.
tires:
Every time I am here to replace a tire, the wait is never under 2 hours. I get there when they first open in hopes that the service will be a bit quicker, but it is not. The staff will not even let you know a duration of time to wait, or any updates while you wait. unless you ask. When you are the customer, you should not be kept wondering.
mechanical work:
Don’t do it with tire pros! Please just go elsewhere; especially for any luxury car.
It is obvious most of the staff is lazy and are not fully knowledgeable of what they are doing. I witness issues people have from present to past repairs (with tire pros) during my long wait. A friendly smile means nothing when the service is not competent.

I would recommend you guys because of your fast and friendly service, but since the tire warning light is still on even after you checked my tires I will have to think about the recommending to other ladies.

About two years ago i went in two get new tires and SOB’s scratched my new rims. They did not accept responsibility nor did they attempt to compensate.
A year later i took in my girlfriends 2004 nissan sentra for repair. They said it would be a two hour job tops. I dropped it off in the very early morning and by 5:00pm i walked in to pick up the car and the SOB’s said they had a difficult time getting the right part, so i would have to leave it there over night… F*** You. These bastards should have been straightforward with me if they knew it wasnt easy.
No doubt these guys are nice people to their customers, but man two bad experiences is enough for me never to step foot inside again.

I never write reviews on Unilocal,but I felt compelled to due to my latest car headache.
Let me first say that Troy, the worker who helped me, was VERY polite and professional. He honored my coupon no questions asked. Also, complimentary donuts! However…
I was experiencing vibration issues after a tire rotation, so I had Tire Pros do a tire re-​balancing + free alignment check. I also told Troy my whole story about my troubles leading up to that visit. When I went back to pay, Troy told me my toe measurements were out of spec, and offered to do a discounted alignment, which I declined. I do not dispute their diagnosis, as later that day I got an alignment elsewhere and my toe was indeed off.
Unfortunately, my vibration was still there, so I called Troy asking him what else it might be. He immediately said «Oh it’s probably your alignment being out of spec. Bring it back and we’ll take care of it.» At no point did I suspect they did a bad job with the tire balancing.
Needless to say, it wasn’t an alignment issue. I had my tires checked at another shop (this time I stood there and watched them do it on the machine). The tires were SEVERELY out of balance… off by 4.75 on one tire. Of course, the problem was fixed after that.
So… either the techs really do not know what they’re doing (how do you not know how to balance a tire when you work for a tire shop?) or… Troy, knowing my perilous situation, took advantage of the fact that nobody could pinpoint my issues and tried to get an extra $ 60 out of me for an «alignment,» at which point they’d probably re-​do my balancing to «fix» the problem.
Either way, this place gets 1 star from me. If you come here to get service, make sure you stay and watch. They may either royally botch your simple re-​balancing job or try to sell extra services to you. I will never know which it was, but neither one is good in my book.
PS I thought I gave them my lug nut adapter, but couldn’t find it afterwards. So I had my girlfriend go back to ask them to look for it. After he couldn’t find anything, he tried to sell one to her for $ 20… the exact one I had is online for $ 4!!!
