A very convenient, quick, and affordable threading business. I’m usually on the run, so being able to go in and out is such a plus!
Each station worker threads differently, so you’ll have to just try it out if you’re a first timer. I recommend #2 (who is not there often) and #1 if you like to keep your eyebrows looking more natural. The other stations are good with the thinner, more dramatic looks.
Everyone is nice and the place is well kept. If you’re picky about your eyebrows, speak up, and I’m sure they’ll help you get them the way you want.

I’ve moved to Santa Barbara for school and am only able to come back to this area once in awhile. The threading salons in Santa Barbara are ridiculously more expensive and do a half ass job. Unlike those places, Maya is heaven! I always go to the beautician for chair one and she is absolutely amazing!!! Go to her! She is so kind, gentle, does exactly what you asks for, and never ever over threads.

I have been coming here for about 4 years. They now charge $ 1 for using credit card which sucks because before it was a minimum of $ 5 to use card. I always go to #1, however since it’s always busy I decided to go with #4 & she left my eyebrows okay, my eyebrows didn’t even look clean.

This is my go to place! Whenever I go I request station #1. I feel so bad because I forget her name but I have been coming here for probably 7 years. #1 is very friendly and personable. Always makes me feel comfortable. Reasonably priced $ 7 for brows and always leave with my eyebrows on fleek! Lol hahaha jk but seriously they look very good!

I love the work they do! Every time I go they do a great job and only thread off a minimal amount of hair, while still maintaining its natural shape. So worth it! Very polite employees too.

Absolutely the best place to get your eyebrows done! I have been coming to Maya’s place for almost 6 years. Be warned that there is usually a 30 minute wait but you will be pleased by their work. However, please understand that you have to sign in… If you just walk in and not sign in then you should know you will just sit there. Especially on busy days, they have their heads down and might not see you come in. Also tip well, these ladies work long hours. Imagine using your neck like that all day.

Very quick service by an esthetician who listens to what you want and delivers. This place is inexpensive and accepts Visa and MasterCard, $ 5 minimum. Most services are $ 5+ I waited about 15 minutes and was finished in about 5 minutes. I am extremely satisfied and will return next time I’m in town.

If zero stars was an option, that would be their rating. They skip over names, understaffed, and work on two customers at a time? Does one eyebrow, comes back to the other customer? crappy service.

Good quality and good price. I have been to Maya probably 15 times and had 14 great experiences. The last time I went my brows were too thin, but I’d say 14 out of 15 still gets 5 stars in my book. I’ve never waited longer than 10 minutes and it’s usually closer to 5, even at lunch time. There is always parking available.

I’ve been coming to Maya for several years now. You can’t beat the $ 7 price. Well, actually, I take that back. My 14 year old cousin found a place in Montebello that charges $ 5. But since I’m familiar with Maya’s, I always come back here. They do a nice job, but eye brow threading always hurts a little. The only change I want to note is that it’s always busy when I come here now. I put my name down, and them walk around Atlantic Square for 5 – 10 minutes.
If you plan to come here regularly, make sure to ask for a stamp card.

I come here very often and not once have I experienced any bad service. The lady’s there are so nice and take their time with me. Definitely be patient and make sure you have time because you never know when it’ll be busy or how many staff workers are available. Don’t forget to grab a stamp card!

I’ve been coming here for a little over a year. I go to my usual threader #2. She’s great. Always polite and does a good job. When she’s not there I go to #1 who is many people favorite. She is on point too. In regards to the others they have either cut me or left my eyebrows too thin. Don’t forget to ask for a card to get a stamp each time you go, get 9 and the last ones free. If you’re a frequent visitor it’s worth it.

They suck! They first time the lady #4 messed up my eyebrows! I went back the second time and made sure I didn’t sit on chair #4 because she just sucks! I went with chair #1 they came out nice… I was a little nervous going back but I thought I’d give them a second chance. This time I sat on chair #2. I came out almost wanting to cry!!! They really don’t know what it means when you ask for a «clean up» ITS A DAMN CLEAN UP!!! How do you mess up with a clean up! I’m going to look for another eyebrow place because this one just won’t do.

It was ok the lady who did my eyebrows and top lip was nice but once I got home I realized my eyebrows looked bushy still lol oh well you get what you pay for and it was only 6.99 & they aren’t that bad.

Really liked this place until today. When I came in there was only 5 people ahead of me. Two people walked in and was in a hurry so they took them. I sat there and say there and finally after they called yet another person who came on after me, I spoke up. And instead of telling that woman I was first they told to wait again. I walked out and will not be going back. You know just cause you are in a hurry doesn’t mean you should go before others who are waiting

I’ve been coming here for years. All the ladies are wonderful. I usually get my brows and lip done. It’s clean and well kept.

Started coming to this place since it is close to where I work. Eyebrows and lip threading together is $ 12. They were polite and did a good job shaping my brows. They take Visa which is great for me since I rarely ever have cash on hand. Both times I’ve been here, however, they cut my skin slightly which kind of turned me off from giving them a third try.

Ehhh I finally tried this place out after reading mixed reviews. I probably should’ve known better. I shouldn’t have assumed that they were going to magically not mess up on my eyebrows.
I went in and it was empty. Only one other girl getting her eyebrows done with Migna (station 1). I went to her and the other reviews her were right! There is something different about the string. It does feel thicker. Nonetheless, I sort of felt she did a good job after telling her to thread them more.
It wasn’t till the next day that I realized that she CUT me! There was a small gash on my left eyebrow right on top of my eyelid.
I won’t be coming here again.

The price is great $ 7 for eyebrows to be threaded. The only reason why I come here is because it’s more convenient than my goto spot in montebello called Shriji Threading. That place is only $ 5 and they do a great job every single time.
The thread they use at maya are so thick it hurts! And I have a high pain tolerance. Usually other places will ask if you’re okay, but nope, these people just keep threading away. I understand the thinner threads break more often but how much $$ are you saving here? Shouldn’t the customers comfort be more important?
Be careful, there’s a new threader in town and man do I feel disgusted. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t like fingers on my face. I’m not saying her fingers were dirty because I don’t know that, but she didn’t wash her hands or use the hand sanitizer before she laid her hands all over my face. Rubbing, and pressing, and wiping… I cringed every time. Use a napkin for heaven sakes! It was so unnecessary the way she had to use her fingers like that. At the end I asked her to clean up the top of my left eyebrow. I guess she didn’t understand and she kept showing me that it was even with my right eyebrow by rubbing her fingers on my forehead. Oh my goodness. You bet I rinsed my face in the bathroom after.

I love this place. The price is great and I always get them done by Maya. She’s the best and the owner of the place.
Always polite and the facials are also really good.
