Sakura Health Spa

I just went to this place about 2 hrs ago. Services good but at the end they force you tip 20 $ doesn’t matter you want or not. Plus they didn’t post any sign or policy that said minimum tip. How much. I think this place it’s rip u off.

They advertise shower facilities with sauna and private rooms.
I’d be turned off to take a shower here. The changing room and shower area were dark and looked unclean.
The «private room» was simply a space divided with curtains that aren’t pulled closed.
Prices are extremely high compared to nearby establishments. The message was ok at best.
Will not return.

It was my first time here and I absolutely loved it. Well definitely be coming again.

Found this facility via day pass offered on Groupon. This is a massage facility posing as a spa. My gripe is this facility should not represent themselves as a spa. The day pass included access to showers and the sauna only, the kicker is the wet sauna was not operational, dry sauna unclean, no jacuzzi, and shower area unclean. I’ve included a few real pics, unlike the beautiful advertised pics showing now.

Pros.
Pretty clean and a lot bigger than the usual $ 15/​hr joints. Has a small sauna and some showers, which I didn’t use.
Everyone was very nice from the receptionist to the masseuse.
The have a decent snack bar, and offer drinks before and after the massage.
Cons.
Massage was quite disappointing. For 68/​hr you would think it should be extraordinary. Even though masseuse was very nice, the skills were lacking.
I guess if u want to use the sauna and shower maybe a little more bang for the buck, but if not save your $ and go somewhere else.

This is the place to go if you are looking for a «happy ending massage»!!! Found out some guys really enjoy this places late night VIP massages. Pretty nasty if you ask me but hey

I call at 1050pm and asked if I could come in about 1130pm. The recipient said ok but try to come in little bite earlier. There will be a technician available. I arrived at 1123pm and was all technician were busy or have gone home. While a was trying to find out what happen to my technician, I was told she left at 1110pm. Later on I I was told she was helping someone else. So what’s the deal here. Is she available or not??? While I was trying to find out what happen the male locker room attended kept cussing at me. This is the 4 or 5 time this has happened to me. I do not understand how they can stay in business if this the way they treat their customers and I have been cone here for years.

A definite must experience for the hour full body massage. My boyfriend and I got the couples massage and we were set up in the same room. The ambiance is relaxing, the soothing music is nice and the masseuse’s know what they are doing. I highly recommend and will be returning again. Pricy but we concluded it was worth it.

Most relaxing and best massage here, perfect relaxing place in LA. Highly recomended!

I absolutely love this place!!! Trust me, I’ve tried all these massage places (in the 626) in search of «the one» and I found it!!! I refuse to go anywhere else & Ive also converted a few of my family and friends.
Since I had my daughter, my back pain, tension & knots have only gotten worse… But this place and my masseuse have done wonders on me. I’m not gonna lie, the price is higher than other places BUT you are paying for the quality/​service etc (so I don’t mind). Those cheap foot massage places I’ve been to, typically want you in n out, no real effort, definitely not spotlessly clean or even decorated, some don’t even allow your own private room. This place is completely different… I get the spa feeling and I feel more relaxed just walking in there. The people working here are ALWAYS so damn nice– they really love their job! One time I went in and I was starving but was too busy to eat before my appointment and they got me some snacks and drinks, I didn’t even ask for it, I was just chit chatting about how busy my day was and that I didn’t even have time to eat :) this is the kind of service I’m willing to pay for…
There’s always parking and it’s a huge place. All around its a fabulous spa with all the works, but I LOVE their massages.

Superb ambiance and great service! It was definitely a five plus star experience! The staff is very friendly and you have a huge room for relax after the Masage! I strongly recommended to any busy professional!!!

I am addicted to massage, and it was became a weekly routine, I visited Sakura spa on May 27^th late evening
Pro:
1) opens late till mid night
2) massage was really really good, therapist is definitely really professional, I’ve tried plenty of foot massage/​body massage places, this place is definitely different and much better. (You get what you paid for)
3) complimentary snacks and drinks, there were candy, bananas, apples, chocolate, cookies, and instant noodle :)
4) CLEAN, this is huge for me, I really enjoy full body oil massage, the room, massage bed, sheets etc must be clean.
5) private sauna & steam room for me, which I thought was very nice, at least for women I guess. I used their sauna and steam room for a good 45 mins, and when I was ready, the therapist was outside waiting for me with a bottle of water!
For my boyfriend, he said the men side was nice, but it wasn’t private, he has to share the steam room and sauna with other men and there is also an attendant in the men’s locker room serving water and towels. Well, I definitely like the privacy for women’s side :)
Cons:
1) the location is at the corner of Garvey, it’s not as easy to find. I drove around before I could see the sign, then I realized there is a huge massage sign on top of the building.
2) they were busy at the time, also our fault for not reserving, couples room was not available, my boyfriend and I had to use separate room for massage
3) they charge $ 68/​hr or $ 108 VIP room. Price is decent, slightly pricy, but if I can find a coupon for it, it would be better!
Overall, I was really satisfied, massage was really good, and the environment is very clean, I will be back.

Hi had a masseuse named Danny. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the body and health. She took time to give a deep massage and even stood on my back to get to the problem areas. The place looks professional as well.
However, the man who works there is as intimidating as hell. He doesn’t speak english and just grunts when he wants you to do something. I tried to pay Danny at one point and tried to find her. He actually blocked the door back into the massage room making the point that it was not allowed. It was very intimidating like a mafia guard or something.
Later, I found out she was waiting for me at the front desk. At this point it got kinda crazy. Danny asked me to pay around 70 dollars for the massage and a MANDATORY TIP of 20 dollars to tip the SPA and ANOTHER 20 dollars to tip HER! So actually, it was a 110 dollar massage even though it was advertised as around 70(approx). I don’t blame Danny. I blame the management as it was clear that they were putting pressure on her to collect tips. This place is all about getting money out of you, and it definitely sends that vibe in everything they do. I got a feeling the staff was not happy doing what they do and it was just a business. I mean its fine if you are fine with that and can afford it. But for those who are more sensitive to people-​people relations and good vibes, do not go here.

First of all, I called at 6pm to make appointment for two people at 7pm, and the front desk girl said Yes. However, when we arrived there, they said two therapists would be available at 7:30, okay then, we waited.

Then we went in the waiting lobby. It was supposed to have two therapists leading us to the couple room right away, but we were not in the room until 8:15pm. That’s already make me disappointed.

Before the massage, we need to change. When I went into the «locker room», I was indeed «surprised», ’cause it seems like a storage! My boyfriend told me that it looks really good in the men’s locker room. Why!!!

Finally, they started the massages. The most important point is the massage, we told them to concentrate some parts with deep pressure, but they didn’t. I am wondering it is a «massage» or «soft touching». And my therapist was working on my spine, that is indeed painful. Upset again! Oh, forgot to say that one of the therapist answered the phone during the massage. shoooooot!!!

So I had a day pass coupon for Royal Health Spa in Hacienda Heights and asked if they would accept it at Sakura. The two places are sister spas. They said yes, but when I came here they said they couldn’t take it. So I got in to use their sauna and spa for $ 20.
I wasn’t too impressed with this place. Despite it wasn’t so busy, there was a lack of solitude because the employees were everywhere. There was no jacuzzi. Only a dry sauna and a wet one. The wet one felt nice but was tiny. The dry one kinda looked like something anyone can buy by calling an 800 number. It was tiny and the door just won’t close right. When I accidentally wet the floor in there with my shower shoes, it smelled like piss. The rainforest shower thing was interesting.
The employees were kinda stingy. I was given a towel and wrapped it around myself. Then after I showered I tried to look for another one. The employee told me that he just gave me one and picked up the one I put into the dirty pile back to me.
There were only three showers. The body soap was actually SoftSoap’s antibacterial hand wash. Weird.
There was a common area. Must wear robes there! There are snacks and a TV.

i love and love this place super clean and really good therapy.

I was optimistic about trying Sakura thinking it’d be a little more Americanized from the usual Asian «spas» in the area, but here goes an honest review on their massage/​facilities.
I called ahead and booked the hour massage, which was rather easy since there seemed to be a lot of availability.
After check-​in, I was escorted to what is considered the «locker room». I was shocked to see that the locker room was super cramped and tiny. It consists of a small wall of lockers with a door-​less shower in one corner and a steam room and sauna in the other corners. The shower had some essentials available, but looked rather unclean and again, was lacking a door. There was a shower curtain hanging over a rod… that’s it. And if someone’s changing in the locker room, the door is kept locked, so it’s a little awkward to knock on the door and have that naked person come to the door to unlock it. I really did not like the changing room setup. There are slippers and robes available along the wall. Nothing plush, just the basics.
You walk down one of the hallways to a common waiting area with a TV, several lounger chairs and a snack bar. No frills, however, it was quiet thankfully.
My other gripe is the lack of door labeling. I had no idea which way to go from the locker room. I literally opened each door trying to figure out where I was going and a few doors mistakenly were restrooms. One more odd thing is the placement of a restroom within the common area. The flushing toilet is ridiculously loud!
The staff was nice and spoke English well enough to converse. My masseuse was ok. It was a little awkward in the beginning of the massage. The first 10 minutes were me under a thin white sheet, being massaged through the sheet. I wasn’t quite sure if there was gonna be actual skin to skin contact. I mean isn’t that the point of being disrobed during a massage? Anyhow, it didn’t get much better after that. It was like being oiled up all over but not massaged. I did not feel relaxed afterwards. I think the whole time I was thinking, «Is this it?» Had I known I’d be paying $ 88 for a massage I could’ve paid $ 20 for (at the usual foot massage spot), I would’ve never come here.
I would not come back here, even if a friend wanted to. I should’ve trusted my instincts and gone with BW Spa. Oh well…

This is by far one of the best spas in the San Gabriel Valley I’ve ever been to! The staff are very courteous and professional and the spa overall is really clean. I decided to get the one hour full body massage.
First, I was escorted by one of the staff to the locker room to change and wear the robe they provided me. I went to take a shower and after that, I was told by one of the staff that I could either go to the sauna, stream room, or lounge. I decided to go to the lounge room to chill and relax. There is a snack bar there, which was AMAZING! They have a large variety of snacks! (Cookies, chocolate, fruits, peanuts, drinks, etc.).
I got my name called and I got my full body massage by Vivian. She gave me one of the best massages I ever had in a while! I am definitely coming back to this spa again! I’m sure all the masseuses here are great, but I think I fell in love with Vivian, so I highly recommend her.
I give this place 5 STARS!
Also, the parking around here was easy to find and there are a lot of food and drink places around here, like my favorite tea place, Half & Half!

Great little place to get a massage in the SGV with clean facilities and friendly staff.
The perfect place to relax. Definitely coming back and hopefully all the masseuse are equally talented!

Detailed Review
This spa acts like many you would find in Asia for a massage:
Step 1, Strip down — make sure to wear the robe they provide (ensures that you aren’t naked and that you aren’t surrounded by naked people). They provide lockers for all your items. You’ll be naked under the robe. get over it. It’s only awkward if you make it awkward.
Step 2, Shower! There is soap and shampoo. The attendant will provide slippers, towels, and robes (if you need more towels, just ask!)
Step 3, Full Body Massage (optional, but recommended). I opted for a full hour. it was one of the best massages I’ve had in a while! The masseuse seemed a bit young, but she reassured me she had years of experience. She casts my doubts of her abilities out the window within the first 5 minutes. AMAZING!!!
Step 4, Sauna and Steam Room! What more is there to say?
Step 5, Relax. There is a lounge with comfortable chairs, a TV, and complimentary tea and snacks for guests to enjoy! — I loved the dried Mangoes!
