It seems like a lot of the reviews about this place are about the service.
I am a slightly tanned chinese and the moment u walked in she suggested skin whitening products immediately without even me letting her know what I wanted. It’s not the first time this has happened since «APPARENTLY» it’s not natural to be a bit more tanned when living in southern california. Normally I only get whitening suggestions when I ask for their opinion on what is best.

Is it possible to give 0 star review? I wish. This place deserves 0 star. I went to this shop today hoping to buy some foundation. And I want to compare iope and sulwashoo (however you spell that) products. When I walk in, no greetings. I asked the lady if she can help me to choose the product, this is her response, «put it on your face». If the place was crowded or she’s helping other costumers then I would get it. THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE, THE PLACE IS EMPTY
I would never go back there again.
For the management of that shop: you have no idea how many customers you lost because of her

I didn’t look up on Unilocal for the reviews on this store before I went to visit and now that I have gone and read the reviews I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks they have the worst customer service. The sales lady needs to go to training again to help explain to customers what each product does and what each brand provides. I’m new to skincare so I asked the lady what’s the difference between the two serums from Sulwasoo (reactivating and revitalizing) and she repeated the words back at me twice when I asked her to please explain that!

I think the sales person in this store should have customer service training. Based on a very rule and unprofessional customer service, I wont walk in this store any more.

I’m only giving it two stars because it’s very close to were I live and I love leinage products. But the service was absolutely terrible. Lady on the counter was not trying to sell anything to me or anyone. Didn’t offer me any help or anyone I saw there any help. She was too busy chit chatting with her friend by the Counter.
When I went to pay for my purchase the only greeting I got was the question JUST ONE?
I normally go to the leinage inside the San gabriel super store and the sales people are very friendly and helpful. They offer me free samples that goes with the skincare line when i make purchases so that I can try it out and purchase if I like it, but this one just shoved me my bag after I made my purchase and didn’t offer me any samples and seemed like I was interrupting her conversation with her friend.
I don’t think I would come back here. I’d rather go out of my way to the other store for the better service. I mean great service does help sale!

This is based on my latest purchase here. I went in and look for the bb cushion. At first, i was thinking about getting the IOPE one which i heard its much better than the Laneige one I’ve been using. My bad i didnt see it was next to the laneige counter. So i ended up buying the same old laneige. While the women was ringing my item, I noticed the IOPe advertise sign on the counter. So i was like yeah they must have it here then. But when i asked the women, she was like «its right there» with such an attitude like i was so stupid i didnt see. I was trying to be calm as heck and ask «is it possible for me to change it to this one instead please?» She was like «im not sure but let me try» 3 mins have passed. She still couldnt figure out. She ended up saying «im sorry, i didnt know how to do it.
All im trying to say is ««reallllyyyyyy?»»
You dont know how to just return the item and have me buy a new one which is more expensive???
I’m so done.

Went in here twice wanting to buy two items and had received absolutely horrendous service by the female employee. I swear to god the worst! She does not greet you when come in and when you ask her a question, it is vague and not at all helpful.
I once came in when she was assisting another customer and I thought she was done. I asked her a simple question and she gave me the WTF face and essentially she was busy in a very rude way. I can’t remember how she phrased it, but I took offense. Lady, there is a nicer way of saying «I’m busy.» And I know because I have worked in customer service in a very fast pace and demanding environment for three years. You can’t even handle two customers? Seriously, you need more training.
Plus, there are THREE Amore Pacific store in the 626 area. I would absolutely avoid this one. My favorite is the one located at the Focus Plaza on Valley Blvd and San Gabriel Blvd: 1635 S San Gabriel Blvd, San Gabriel, CA 91 776. There is also another located down on San Gabriel Blvd though I have never been there.
Anyway, just AVOID this place. Ughhh Seriously.

The lady working there was so much help. I originally went in planning to buy just the LANEIGE BB Cushion but walked out with the IOPE BB Cushion and IOPE Green Primer instead. Very pleased with my purchases. She also gave me a TON of samples. Such a nice lady.
BTW Unilocal has their hours beginning from 11 but they dont open until 12. Also, the saleslady confirmed that it is a Amore Pacific store not a distributor.

This is solely based on my first and last purchase at this store.
I so regret coming here. I should have went to the one in Koreatown.
I am korean and I have heard so many good reviews about Laneige Snow BB cushion and I wanted to try so bad. Went to Atlantic Square to go to Daiso with my family and saw this place and stopped by.
Bought what I wanted without trying the shade because I have always used the same shade so I got the same shade I have always got from other makeup brands. THIS WAS PARTLY MY MISTAKE I ADMIT. The sales associate told me (over the phone) that she told me to try the shade but I dont remember. either way, I didnt tested it out. My fault I guess.
But then from this point, not my fault. Her arrogant behavior is at fault and responsible.
Went home and tried it the next day. OMG, is this really 23? It was too dark and too yellow for my skin that I could NOT use this product. I went back to the store and asked that the shade didnt work out and the sales associate told me there is no exchange whatsoever because I used it. Well yeah, if I didnt try it at the store and bought it and tried it at home and didnt work so i came to exchange, not even a refund, these chinese people were strongly insisting that there is NO EXCHANGE. I said i wanted to talk to the manager and they were talking in Chinese (probably talking crap about me) and called the manager and talked. I DIDNT TALK. they did all the talking. SO THINK ABOUT HOW WORDS CAN BE SPOKEN DIFFERENTLY FROM INITIAL POINT!
The manager said No and she (the sales girl) told me to leave my fone number and then the manager or whoever will call me.
The lady who sold the product to me called the next day, I was sleeping. I called a day after and omg it was the most unpleasant conversation I had. Even though i was pissed and mad, I tried to keep it neutral and calm but I did tell her everything I wanted to say.
I dont know why but she was very pissed and almost yelling at me and talking nonsense and wouldnt even give me time to conversate so I had to cut her quite a few times to get my voice heard. her chinese accent made me confused and i couldnt understand half of it so I had to repeat after her to assure that i am understanding correctly. SHE SAID NO EXCHANGE AND THAT IS THE CORPORATE POLICY. Thats what she said. And she had this nuisance that I put her in a bad spot because I told the grls at the store that she said I can exchange them. Um excuse me?
I asked for corporate number and she was very furious and uncontrollable of her feelings and yelled out ‘You look for it in
. online!‘
Ok, bye.
So I called the Amore store in Koreatown, and explained everything. I asked that «I didnt try it out and bought it and wasnt my shade. in this kind of situation is exchange against your corporate policy?»
She said NO. she said I can bring it to Koreatown Amore branch and she will exchange the shade for me. Normally, SHE SAID THAT WHEN YOU DIDNT TRY THE PRODUCT AND PURCHASED IT AND THE SHADE WAS NOT YOUR SHADE, THE STORE CAN CLAIM IT TO THE CORPORATE AND WORK IT OUT. EXCHANGE IS VERY VERY DOABLE.
This is what real customer service is. All those people up there was interested in just selling the product for profit and now that I want to exchange, you say no? its impossible?
Hope you learned your lesson. I am also going to report it to the Corporate.
I think it was a very big mistake for Amore to open a branch in Chinatown-​like city. I will NEVER COME HERE. I will stick to Koreatown even if it means a longer drive. NO ONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED THIS WAY AND BE INSULTED.

The Amore is brand new in this plaza. Not only does Amore always give out samples up the yin yang, they’re giving away some cute freebies for their grand opening promo.
I’m a sucker for Laneige.
As mentioned previously, they’re doing a BOGO free promo for the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack. After cleansing, you just put it on your face as an overnight moisturizer. Next day, your skin is perfect. Doesn’t leave any greasy oily residue and it’s not at all heavy. The free one you get is the equivalent amount in 4 deluxe sample jars. For those who are travelers (such as myself) this is so convenient for carry on toiletries.
The saleslady at Amore (didn’t catch her name, but she spoke Mandarin) is very helpful. She wasn’t rude or quick to point out my skin’s flaws like how some Asian beauty store sales people can be (i.e. yes yes, you have a lot of wrinkles you need this. no no your skin so dry, you need this etc etc) but she did assess my combination skin (typical for most Asians) in a constructive way. If you want a sample of something before deciding to buy it later, don’t be afraid to ask! She was more than willing to toss a bunch in my bag!
I’m a big fan of the Laneige Perfect Renew Dual Touch Eye cream. I bought one, but she gave a bunch of those samples to my friend and threw in doubles of every other sample since she liked how we are such great friends.
Super nice lady.
