Using techniques common to photojournalism, my style is best described as candid and classic, with a subtle modern edge. As a professional photographer, I take pride in documenting the events as they unfold.

Weddings are my specialty, but I have provided photography services to individuals and businesses for over 10 years. I enjoy being an occasional nightclub and event photographer; some of my corporate clients include Red Bull, Leo Burnett, and TEDx. I also offer packages for large events and festivals.

As a photographer, my preference is not to interfere with the event; I would rather capture everything in it’s own element, and as the moment occured. I always compose my photo albums in a chronologically linear order, so that you can remember those moments rather than a staged photograph.

We had David do a photoshoot for us and it was unbelievably amazing. He effortlessly captured the beauty of Monterey and my lovely girlfriend and made it the highlight of our trip. David was great at understanding our need and customized our photoshoot experience with care. He knew how to help us become comfortable with the camera. Every time I look at the photos, it always brings me right back to Lovers Point, as if I am again watching her bathed in the residual warmth of the sunset and being as beautiful as anything can be.

David took family photos of my (almost) 3 year old and I. He was GREAT! Able to capture my son «on the go» and in true toddler form ALL over the place! He captured him perfectly and without any tantrums or fuss. He was very accommodating and patient. I love the candid feel and the stunning composition. We had a great time taking our photos and by the end my son felt so comfortable around him he had invited David over for dinner! Excellent photographer. My fiancé and I had an engagement session with David this past weekend in Santa Cruz and absolutely loved working with him. Leading up to our session, he was responsive to emails and was open to traveling to meet us in Santa Cruz without question. He was punctual, pleasant and absolutely fun to work with. Within minutes of being in front of his camera, we felt comfortable and ourselves. He encouraged us to be candid, yet spontaneous, and our pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous.
All in all, David is professional with a unique artistic style. He loves sunset shoots so he can capture all the changes of the colors in the sky. Some of our sunset photos were my favorite. I highly recommend David as your engagement /wedding photographer!

David was very accommodating and even scouted out locations and sent us advance pictures. The day of our wedding David went out of his way to accommodate ‘us’. The one thing we did not want were the traditional ‘staged’ wedding photos and David certainly listened to us and as a result we have wonderful candid photos. We could not be happier with his work. I found David on Unilocal and hired him based on the reviews. You never know, but I can say for sure that I was not disappointed.

My friends don’t exactly fit in at formal weddings. Coupled with my very traditional Italian family, I was worried that my wedding photography would be a nightmare. But David saved the day! He’s very charismatic and everyone from my grandmother to my friends got along with him. I’ve been in weddings where the photographer was pushy and rude — thank god we didn’t have that experience. All of our prints are beautiful but the candid shots are just fantastic. I wish we could have David around to capture all the next exciting moments of our life together. Highly recommended.
