I am not rating their expertise for oral surgery, however, when it comes to collecting payment they are as sleazy as they come and is willing to commit billing fraud in order to get what they believe they are owed. First off, their prices are extremely high (I compared their fees for the services for same services in the area, not only are they on the high end, they exceed the high end!), so if I lived in the area and need oral surgery I recommend you find another dentist who charges reasonable fees. Why should you be stuck with a high co-​pay when you can get the same work done for a lot less?! My daughter had work done there and she still owes money. But they decided it was perfectly find to harass a parent of an adult child. Yep, they are willing to stoop so low to put the PARENT’S NAME on the bill and mail it to the patient’s PARENTS?! I live 300 miles away! I sent them a letter and reminded them this is called medical billing fraud. …And then they have the GALL to CALL me anyway! So on the phone the lady claimed since my daughter put my name on the medical forms as a contact (in case of emergencies, mind you)– it gave her some kind of magical right to harass ME for payment. I doubt the forms my daughter filled out said on them: «put in your parent’s name and phone number and address so if you don’t pay we will then harangue them for payment.» You cannot put another person name on the bill even if they are related. It’s fraudulent. If the dental office doesn’t know it, they should after my letter. Geez, how pathetically money-​grubbing and sleazy can you be to start harassing the parents of an adult child? Wow, these people suck. As an aside, my dentist where I live charges nowhere these prices so you can find them a lot cheaper. And you won’t get a Genghis Khan– type bill collector on your ass for payment!

Not impressed. Felt rushed, like it was a factory. Staff was hurried and Dr was as well. He shared every possible bad outcome in front of my 10 year old… completely freaked her out. Then a patient in the next room (all doors open) started vomiting (post procedure) and the staff seemed ill prepared. We left… went to another office. Maybe we hit it on a bad day?

So far I am very happy and pleased with everyone’s service at this dental office. I had an «emergency» surgery due to my right upper wisdom tooth killing me!!! I literally signed up with my job for my benefits couple of days a go and I have not received any info from my Company to be able to use my insurance. The girls at the doctors office were so comprehensive and extremely helpful! All of them! They worked with me and my insurance and got me in for surgery the same day I went in a couple of hours later!!. Not to mention that Dr. Ryan Lloyd was so professional and made me feel very comfortable about my surgery. So I came in later for my surgery and everyone was ready for me, i have no complains at all! About nothing! I felt very very comfortable and its been 9 hours since surgery and I have no pain at all nor discomfort. I even received a call couple of hours a go to make sure I was doing ok, that really made me feel ever better about them. The girl that took my xrays was very nice too! Well as I said everybody it’s just great! There’s nothing better than having a great experience at the place everybody hates lol. «The dentists office». Not to mention, this is the only dental place I’ve been where even there’s patients, they’re very good about their timing, I literally got there, signed in and they called me 2 min later to start both of the times I went in. So for sure I would recommend this place to anyone!

I just had my second procedure done by Dr. Lloyd. My first procedure was 4 wisdom teeth removed and then I had to return and have one of my second molars removed. Both experiences were top notch! Dr. Lloyd and his staff could not be nicer. One of the things I appreciate is they are on time. No sooner do you sign in and they are calling you in for your appointment. I never have had a major procedure done like these before so I was very nervous. Not only is Dr. Lloyd and his staff very comforting, the procedures are done before you know it with no pain at all! After both procedures I received a call from a staff member to check up on me and see how I was doing and then later from Dr. Lloyd himself. They have patient care down pat! I highly recommend Dr. Lloyd if you are in need of any dental surgery.

Billing problems and errors, took many calls to correct. Lots of my time, too. The claim was not correctly submitted to insurance for almost 2 ½ months. Staff was rude, a few times condescending — not helpful.

Had a cracked toot h that needed to be removed. It was broken near the bottom, which is one of the tougher extractions. He removed it quickly and I have had no issues regarding the extraction. I was referred to him by Dr. Termotto, an excellent Monterey dentist. I have another that has an issue and needs to be removed and I plan on going back to him again.

It’s always a good sign when the staff are friendly, professional, and genuinely concerned with your well-​being. I was treated with respect every moment. They made certain my appointments were timely, that I had all the information and supplies and insurance answers for my extractions.
Dr. Lloyd is patient and personable, and treated me as if my extraction were the most important on his agenda.
I had two wisdom teeth extracted and experienced no pain whatsoever! The worst part about the procedure was removing the band aid!
I would absolutely recommend Dr. Lloyd to anyone seeking oral surgery!

The staff and Drs. Lewis and Lloyd made the experience of visiting the oral surgeon’s office as pleasant as possible. They were professional and accommodating. I talked to Mary Lou multiple times regarding my insurance coverage and she was extremely helpful. She also called me back promptly when she said she would.
The had no wait time on the day of surgery and the dental assistant was very helpful, pleasantly informing me about each step of her setup procedures and reminding me to remove my jacket and get as comfortable as possible. Dr. Lloyd was great and the entire surgery was practically painless. I recommend them without hesitation.

Don‘t ever go to this office, staff was not pleasant.
Dr. Lewis was extremely rude, was an hour late for my appointment, then he only spent 1 min with me to tell me that I need all my wisdom teeth to be extracted, didn‘t even want to answer my questions and kept on telling me that I should ask my primary dentist!!!
Seriously, did he expected me to trust him doing a surgery on me after all of that?

HORRIBLE! WARNING to others!!! i am HIV+ and noted so on my paperwork with the front office but also as a courtesy to him and the others would would be putting their hands in my mouth I told them as well in case they for some reason were not aware. He excused himself from the room. In came the office woman and informed me it would be an ADDITIONAL $ 150 for the tooth extraction due to me being HIV+. I asked why and she said they had to use old tools and then throw them away. ??? I told her and him that I hoped he was using universal precautions for EVERYONE and the stringent sterilization process should suffice, as it does in EVERY other office. They would NOT budge an inch. REQUIRED I pay an additional $ 150. Makes we wondered what if someone didnt tell them of lets say Hepatitus or something. How well are they cleaning their tools? It’s 2012 time this office gets educated! I decided to NEVER go back. I went to Dr. Stoddard and he and his staff were AMAZING!

Not a good experience! The doctor was rude to his staff and also tried to push an unnecessary wisdom tooth extraction on me. My wisdom teeth have been set in for years and have caused me no discomfort, pain, or cavities, but this oral surgeon wanted to immediately remove mine because they «could get cavities in the future.» My original appointment was for a TMJ evaluation only. A quick Google search will show that wisdom teeth are often pulled unnecessarily simply to prevent discomfort in the future that may never come to pass. Other dentists have told me before that I can keep my wisdom teeth as long as they don’t cause any discomfort.
When I told the doctor that I didn’t want the extraction, he continued to push and gave me prescriptions for Vicodin, Motrin, and others in anticipation of a surgery I wasn’t going to schedule.
Another red flag… I was told I needed to pay the entire balance in full and would receive the insurance reimbursement from them in a separate check. I have never been to an office that operated this way.
One final note… the doctor was dressed in khakis and a t-​shirt, not professional at all.

I don’t agree with previous reviews — I had a great experience here. (as great as oral surgery gets at least!) Dr Lewis is professional, friendly and genuinely cares about patients. My surgery was successful, fast and although not pleasant, about as pain free as it gets. All my appointments were carried out on time, and there was no waiting around. The reason I deducted a star is because the décor is really outdated and therefore a little depressing, and one of the receptionists is not friendly or interested. The rest of the team are friendly, professional and welcoming.

I do NOT recommend this place. The doctor is rude to his staff. It appears the oral surgery was too fast and too rough due to bruising, jaw pain, prolonged discomfort and incredible amount of pain killers needed. The recovery time is 3x longer than the usual. The office is too fast and too impatient. A factory.

I highly recommend this office! I called in on a Friday for some serious tooth pain in my bottom wisdom tooth. They scheduled me an appointment that afternoon. Once in the office they explained to me what was going on and worked with me on the price. I knew I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed before the appointment and they made it happen quickly. I had the first appointment Monday morning.
Never having oral surgery before, I was scared to death. The nurses were AMAZING. They were soothing and made me feel completely comfortable. The doctor was quick and the entire procedure was over and I was in recovery with zero pain in less than 40 minutes.
It’s now the next day after the surgery and I have very little swelling, very little pain and very little discomfort.
Amazing amazing amazing. I loved this office and I highly recommend them if you need oral surgery. They were also very polite and educated my significant other and what he needed to do once we were home. Very professional and caring.

Do not ever go see this dentist! I took my five year old son there to have tooth extracted, and it was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. This man has absolutely NO bedside manner, especially when it comes to children. He yelled at my son to be quite and hold still or he was going to keep sticking him with the needle to put him to sleep. He was also extremely rude to my husband. The office staff is also EXTREMELY rude, impatient and has horrible customer service.

I would have to give 5 stars if it’s not because of the super rude staff in Salinas office. (Apparently they have two offices.) Dentist Lloyd has super great skills and sense of responsibility. But seriously, some of the staff are really rush and pushy. Good luck!
