Norton Painting

These guys are really good painters! My wife and I paid for college by painting so we know a good paint job.
First, the paint goes where it’s supposed to and doesn’t go where it isn’t. Sounds elementary, but lots of painters don’t even do that well.
Then there’s the brush work. This is where you separate the top painters from the rest. Watching the guy who painted the front door was like watching an artist. All the surfaces had the brush lines parallel and in the correct direction at the end. During the course of the final day of painting, I watched each of the three painters on the job doing doors or windows and each was careful and skilled.
Then there’s Ted, the owner. He’s really easy to get along with and keeps on happily working on the details until everything is perfect.
I couldn’t have asked for a better paint job.

With all the reviews here it sounds like they’re good painters but to never return a call from a prospective customer, that is very unprofessional.

Ted Norton just finished painting our livingroom, diningroom and hall. I had started this job, thinking I could do it myself. When I ran out of steam a friend told me about Ted. I was afraid he might turn a partially started, small job down; but he took it on with all the attention of a larger job. He and his team showed up on time, did an excellent job and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. They finished in one day what would have taken me weeks to complete. His work is excellent, prices are reasonable and he is a pleasure to work with. I will definitely use him again.

I contacted Ted for some exterior and interior painting for a rental in Seaside, based on the reviews I saw on Unilocal.I was very pleased with both; he did a fantastic job, charged as promised and finished on time. He was very easy to communicate with and showed up as promised. I would definitely recommend him !!

We used Norton Painting to repaint our bathroom. It was a mess with the paint peeling off the walls. They knew just how to fix it. It only took one day and looks fantastic. They were very professional and reasonable and came in on the low end of the initial quote. Thanks Ted and Omar! Great Job!

He offers good work at a fair price. Can’t ask for much more.
Ted painted the inside of our rental after it had been worked over pretty well by the previous tenant’s cats and dogs. The house now looks better than ever. Relatively fast turn around time as well. I would work with him again.

I had two exterior sides of a 3 story house and window frames painted. He did the project when he said he would, and the price was reasonable. My windows are a challenge as they tower 2.5 stories, so I wanted someone that knew what he was doing. They did a great job of sanding and prepping the windows. Nice job.

Can’t say enough good things about Ted and his business. I found Norton Painting here on Unilocal and as a non-​local person, had to put a fair amount of trust in to my choices. Ted was a consummate professional. His quote was very fair, he was extremely punctual every day without fail and always kept me well in the loop as the job progressed. We had the entire outside of the house and the first story inside as well as upstairs bathroom done. Will use him for any and all painting needs in the future.

Ted at Nortan Painting has taken very good care of my house and rentals. I have gotten lots of estimates on painting my house and rentals from other contractors and Teds wasn’t the lowest but not the highest. I picked Ted because he called me back right away and I was very impressed with his knowledge and personality. When he was finished with my house and rentals they looked like they were just built. He showed up when he said he would and that is important when you have renters you have to accommodate while the job is being done. Ted Norton did a fantastic job painting the exterior of our house. Ted was always punctual and very easy to communicate with. We appreciated the fact that his price carried through to the last day and there were no unexpected additions to the initial estimate. His price was reasonable and he was always willing to listen to any of our concerns or questions. He helped us pick the perfect blue for our house and we are so happy with how it turned out. I used to use Angie’s list, but I found Ted’s company through Unilocal.He was always on time and professional. Our project was a complex one because we had bare wooden walls. He used an oil based primer and two coats of paint, so there was a fair amount of work to be done. He and his helper were neat, timely and conscientious. It was nice to meet someone who was sincere and intelligent, and I feel like I now have a «friend in the business». Also, I know we’re all not only looking for a highly rated Unilocal professional, but also for fair prices. We were able to afford Ted’s bid, and we felt that he was appreciative of how much we respected his work. We felt he wanted to get it right on our behalf, even when there were some unexpected challenges along the way. He’s an honest, hard working guy who knows his business. We will definitely use him again.

Ted has painted my house, and later, the garage after we remodeled it. His work was excellent in both cases, and his price was fair. He is very efficient and professional and will paint exactly to your specifications. In our case, I asked him to use rollers and brush instead of spraying for our wood trim for a thicker coat of paint, which he did expertly. I don’t hesitate to recommend Ted for your paint job.

Ted did a wonderful job painting the inside of our house. He was very accommodating to our various requests, and his workers were friendly and professional. Ted was on call and willing to answer any questions that we had.
The job was done as we were moving in, and we even had him paint our kitchen cabinets, which still look great.
