Park Avenue Bellydance

Janette is a pro and a beacon. This is wonderful exercise for so many muscles, including some you may never have used. I LOVE it.

I’ve been going to Janette’s belly dance classes for many years and she always manages to keep things fresh. This lady has so much energy — she’s awesome! Very entertaining and very fun.
We don’t take things too seriously while we’re burning calories in Monday-​at-​6 «bellyrobics» class and have lots of laughs. Where else can you get a great workout wearing sparkles and silks. Rosita does a killer belly dance mix on Tuesdays that knocks socks off all the Zumba routines I’ve ever done!

Bellydance is a wonderful art form for women to learn to appreciate their bodies, no matter what size or shape! At Park Avenue Bellydance Studio, I experience acceptance, fun, friendship, sprinkled with words of wisdom from our fabulous instructor, who is a professional dancer as well. I have learned not only dance technique, but we have regular music lessons as well. We have a lot of fun performing, and even if you don’t care to perform, it is a very great form of exercise from toes to neck!

This is the most fun you’ll ever have exercising. Janette is a great instructor, a high-​octane dancer and a consummate professional who brings out the best in every student, no matter what your skill level is. She’s also an awesome choreographer who understands the Middle Eastern culture. We work hard, in a supportive, caring atmosphere. When I started the classes at age 57, I would never have believed I’d be dancing in public. But that’s what’s so wonderful– we learn beautiful dances, AND get to perform at festivals and events, which gives all the hard work meaning. Janette’s enthusiastic but patient teaching style instills confidence and makes the classes about more than just moves and routines. I’ve met wonderful women, and I’ve learned joy.

Janette is the best teacher ever! You will learn very fast with her. But warning will work every muscle in your body.
