Great location, always multiple tellers available and friendly service.

I was a bad experience first time but second enter time to fix the problem and very polite good customer service I love this place

42 years a Wells Fargo customer and I have to say that Monterey is the worst branch I have ever experienced aside from that they do not get 100% for ethics. They will say things that are flat out not true just to appease you. The recent manager by the name of Roger has transferred out of the bank (got a bad reputation) the new manager doesn’t seem at all customer friendly. More robotic than anything else… In this current episode of me having to pay money to see Digital copies of checks that I deposit doesn’t get reversed I’m done. I’m not going to pay them for me to give them my money for them to use and then hit me with a service fee to view the transaction. I was not born in the back of the turnip truck… You want to make money you already do you rip me off whenever I buy checks.

I would like to give Wells Fargo five stars, however, based on the previous reviews, the initial greeting from two tellers verified what everyone has posted. When I walked into Wells Fargo… The first two tellers were a little less than friendly.
Buuut… Thanks to Sarra and Leonor they made my experience much better. I was nicely greeted by Sarra. She was a very sweet young lady and it was a pleasure talking with her! She suggested opening an account and I was then referred to Leonor.
Leonor gave me excellent customer service and definitely knows her information and all I needed or wanted to know about Wells Fargo! I honestly wish I would’ve opened an account sooner, especially with everything Wells Fargo has to offer.
So if you’re thinking about opening an account, go see Sarra and Leonor… You won’t be disappointed!

Good location for when you are out shopping in downtown or need an ATM during the Farmers Market. Parking isn’t easy though since there is only street parking available and it has a time limit during the day.
i found the staff here to be short, cold, and unpersonable. It seemed like a struggle to get someone to help me and then the person who did barely talked to me. Customer service is very important when you are dealing with money and people– so step it up a bit if you expect to be successful!

Very poor service from Diana. I like it when they have a smile on their face until you get to their window. And then attitude starts popping. I guess I wasn’t the right color for this Wells.“I’za sorry ms. bosslady Diana it won’t happen again.”

Been with Wells since 1997, the service at the Wells Pebble Beach branch has been excellent, sometimes have to go to the Monterey branch, where issues have been brewing. During all these years, have never bounced or overdrawn my acct. I run 25K to 35K through Wells monthly.
This past yr. the Monterey branch has often wanted me to open another higher interest acct, declined by me. None of the other Wells have done this. Unbeknownst to me, the real reason was some of my tenants pay me, using my name and also my business name (at the same time). Never told me that this is frowned upon using a personal acct as a business acct (Only use as a business acct, no commingling).
Yesterday, went to deposit a rent check in Monterey Wells, after the teller, then her supervisor looked at it, the branch manager Roger M. came up and told me that my check was no good, that my tenant will have to rewrite his out of state rent check to me, that what I was trying to do was illegal, handed me the check back and gave me the «Bum’s Rush». This occurred while in line, in front of all the other customers. Shocked to say the least! WTF!
Drove to the Pebble Beach Wells, where they accepted this deposit check, no problem. Later on, after some reflection, decided to move my acct to my personal bank, Also on line, saw the varies problems Wells Fargo is having with the accusation of basically redlining, making riskier home loans to minorities, steering foreclosure type sales to «white» areas, etc.

A beautiful bank with a fantastic business banking department and helpful, friendly tellers. It is a pleasure working with this branch of Wells Fargo.

Parking is definitely a problem here. This bank does not have a lot so parking is either on the street (not easy to find a place on Alvarado!) or around the corner in a garage.
I’ve always had helpful friendly service here and have never encountered any lines.
The building itself is absolutely stunning! It has been here forever (I remember it being here in the early 1970’s) and I think it’s been a bank for most if not all of that time.

The parking situation is horrible & the customer service is not up to par. I experienced a rude teller and will never go back again.

Pretty but parking is not so pretty or lovely!

Probably the most beautiful bank I’ve ever been into. Walking in is like stepping back into time, maybe early 1900’s Madrid, Spain or something. Aside from the visual, the place is run like a well-​oiled machine. The lines never get long, the staff is well trained and very friendly. Our tellers know us by name, and always greet us with a smile.
The employees in the other depts. (loans, housing, etc.) are very knowledgeable and happy to answer any question or go the extra mile.
I’ve had a lot of negative experience with banks in the past, so when I find one worth gushing over, I take full opportunity.
