Yongsun

Nine years ago when I moved to Carmel from Southern California I asked my hair cutter for a referral. I wanted a Vidal Sassoon trained cutter. He new no one.
I called Vidal Sassoon in Beverly Hills who called London, England; Sassoon headquarters. Two day later I received a call telling me ONLY ONE person in all of Monterey County was Sassoon trained. .. Yongsun of Creative Hair Design.
We moved in late December and I had my first appointment in January. .. that was NINE years ago. I have been a satisfied and loyal client ever since.
Yongsun is a precision haircutter. She works with or around cowlicks to and other hair anomalies to get the perfect cut. She knows how to cut to accentuate the best features and how to cut to accentuate bone structure. I brush my hair once in the morning and then finger comb if it needs it during the day. My hair moves gently and gracefully because Yongsun cuts to perfection.
In the last nine years I have been stopped at LEAST MONTHLY by people telling me I had a great haircut and asking who the cutter is. It’s a great feeling.
Creative Hair Design is a small, unassuming shop in Monterey. Yongsun takes one client at a time. .. I have never had to wait for service. .. and that too is a plus with a busy work schedule.

Young Sun did my hair for prom last year and it turned out absolutely amazing and held throughout the night. I brought in several pictures and she understood what look I was going for completly. She did a straight half up half down look which was perfect for my dress and it didn’t budge (despite intense dancing). Would certainly return again.
