History

Established in 1989.

Admiral Movers was founded in March of 1989 by Scott McNelley and George Azar (a prominent local attorney) mostly as a high-​quality, service-​minded alternative to sub-​par moving services with a specific focus on office moving and quality-​conscious move services to residential customers.

Since then, Admiral Movers has grown to be Montgomery’s most prominent première provider of moving, storage, records storage, shredding, and scanning to both residential and commercial customers in Alabama’s River Region.

In 2004 many of our clients made it clear that they need a trusted partner to manage records, information, data, servers and handle hard drive destruction. Since Admiral had been handling sensitive information, servers, and medical records for years it was a natural fit.

Back in 1989 Admiral started a paper recycling business. So handling shredding & recycling was something we knew well.

Business Owner

Scott McNelley is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Admiral Records Management (ARM), a full-​service document management and storage company based in the greater Montgomery, Alabama, area. Offering privacy, logistics, and client protection services since 2004, ARM serves numerous organizations including banks, hospitals, government agencies, corporations, and medical offices. Scott McNelley’s company was named a Southeastern Leader in Secure Transfer as well as «Small Business of the Year» by the Montgomery Area Chamber Of Commerce.

In addition to his leadership position with ARM, Scott McNelley also currently serves as owner, President, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Admiral Movers, a moving and storage company headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama. For more than 22 years, he has grown Admiral Movers, an agent for Mayflower Transit, into a trusted residential and commercial moving and storage firm. Under his direction, Admiral Movers serves clients around the globe.
