Primos is a really good deli in Montgomery. They are a sub and pizza shop. They specialize in subs. All of their subs here are very tasty and they do use boars head cold cuts for all of their sandwiches. One of my favorite things about this place is that they get their bread from the Bronx. There is a subway across the street there is a gas station next-door. Find it ironic that there is a subway right across the street from this deli. In my opinion there’s nothing like New York Bread and surprisingly there are only a few delis left in the area that get their bread from the city. I ended up getting the special of the day which was the daily special the sandwich was ham cheese with special mustard on the bread. I asked if the ham could be substituted for turkey. they said no problem they asked if I wanted it hot or cold and I got the sandwich hot. I really did enjoy having a hot sandwich because it was such a cold day out it was nice that they are accommodating to make your sandwich hot or cold for you. The staff here is very nice and friendly. Overall. They do put a lot of meat on their sandwiches here I really do enjoy the bread from the Bronx. It’s a good local deli. As far as Pizza goes I’ve never gotten pizza here so I cannot comment. I do recommend coming here if you want to grab a sandwich they do do very good sandwiches here. PROS: — get there bread from the Bronx — big portions — use boars head cold cuts — friendly staff CONS: -

Prima’s has a second Deli in Wallkill, NY at the end of Lake Osiris Road. Service is terrible. Food is substantial. Employees park directly in front of the main entrance, to the point you have to walk around their vehicle to enter. Sometimes in the afternoon, you can find the employee outside smoking in front of the establishment, talking to a friend. They then, follow you in to make your food without washing their hands. Disgusting!!! Prima’s owners have alot to learn. Department of Health should be making a visit soon.

Wow! These guys take their sandwiches seriously! I got the turkey club and was met with a sandwich piled high with all the good stuff. REALLY tasty. I literally have no idea how the Subway across the street survives with these guys here. Great service and great food. Can’t ask for much more than that. Definitely recommend Prima’s.

Came back again and the service is slow as molasses. I like getting my Italian bread here cause it comes from the Bronx however the service could be better. The owners are new and you can tell they’re not Italian so much for the Italian flavor.

Travelers with small kids beware! I really wanted to love this place. Let me start off with the food was really good! If these guys could get their acts together, they could be awesome. But, the service was awful! They totally messed up our order and continued to mess up everyone else’s order for the hour that we were there. Now when you travel with little ones, time is important. Because our order was messed up, we got our order ½ hour too long. The place was pretty dirty too. Not sure if they only cater to truckers, but it sure looked dirty enough. They had no baby stations in the bathrooms and only the women’s was working. The bathroom had no toilet paper and no paper towels. Again wanted to love this place, but I don’t think we will return to this place anytime soon.

First off, I will start with the pros, the wide selection from pizzas, to cold and hot subs, to the delish deserts are all to die for. I always get my sandwiches from this deli, its your typical Italian deli but better. Now with the con, and I really hate to write this because the food is really good and kudos to them for that, but here is my problem, for the fourth time now, I call in an order, and expect that when I get there it will be made and all wrapped up, especially when I am 20 minutes away that’s more than enough time to slice up the meat and throw it on a roll, but again like clockwork I show up there and tell them I am there for a pick up(the person I spoke to on the phone said«oh just the one sandwich?, that will be done in 5 minutes» so I figured hmm I guess fourth times a charm) Now mind you all 4 times I have called in an order it has been towards the evening time and everytime I have gone to pick up there is no other customers and my food is just then being made. Definitely a lack of management in the evening hours, daytime its a little better because the owners are there. Regardless, besides that one thing that bugs me every time… The food is top shelf, the people are very nice, but if you ever decide to eat there don’t bother calling an order in because the minute you walk through the door expecting it to be done, they will be rushing to make it right then and there, which negates the person of calling the order in, in the first place. If it wasn’t for the food being so consistent, I probably would be another customer who would never go back, let’s just hope the owners read this review and get their staff to be as consistent as their food.

PAYNOATTENTIONTOTHATSUBWAYACROSSTHESTREET! If you go there instead of Prima’s you will miss out on a mouth-watering, eye-rolling experience. My husband and I stopped here for lunch during a road trip. We were blown away by the deli counter overflowing with fresh foods and a menu full of creative offerings. We were tempted by the seductive cheese pizza that offered us its slices but ultimately opted for subs off the Blackboard Specials menu: for me, the Dali Lama with fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and O&V; for him, the Italian piled high with pepperoni, genoa salami, mortadella, and provolone and O&V. Every ingredient was fresh and high-quality. The young guys who own this place obviously care about good food. And they talk to you like they’ve know you all their lives, which reflects how much they love their work and is reflected in the quality of their product. I’m sure in the future we will plan our travels so that we can eat at Prima’s again.

A friend and I stopped here for lunch on the way from Pennsyvania to New Hampshire. It is a small deli restaurant with an impressive range of sandwich, pasta, salad and baked goods selections for its size. The guys at the counter were very friendly and rattled off suggestions for us which we got, and our sandwiches(I got the eggplant parmesan one) were huge and tasty. Casual, quick and no frills dining and a nice alternative to fast food. Last but not least, the local cops enjoy meeting here for lunch, which is a good sign I suppose.

More meat than you can handle. This was the best sandwich I have ever eaten, and I’m fat. Throw the darts to see if your food is free.

I’ll make the drive from Hartford to Buffalo a number of times each year to see family and I drive right by this place off of Exit 5 on 84 in NY. I’ll stop here every time to get at the very least a box of delicious pastries. The«Handyman» is an awesome sandwich for those that are into cold cuts while the«Dali Lama» is a very good eggplant parm. The potato salads also always hit the spot. The service is also always awesome. Doesn’t seem as if anything else is really near Primas, so if you are in the area and want a killer meal, hit this place up. You’ll be satisfied whether it is Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or Dessert.
