The Barkley is a wonderful place. I take my animals there for boarding, grooming or even a quick swim!
They have an excellent staff with fantastic customer service.

Avoid this kennel at all costs! My parent’s 2 year old lab recently had a near death experience at this kennel. They received a call from the kennel saying that Bella had stepped in some floor cleaner and they had taken her to the vet. When I went to check on her (they were still out of town) I found a dog clinging to life, with swollen and festered paws and internal burns from ingesting a chemical. The truth finally came out that concentrated floor cleaner had pooled up in her kennel. I believe she walked around in it and then began licking it off of her feet when it began burning. For two days I had to shuttle her back and forth between the vet and and overnight emergency clinic, as they were not sure she would survive. It took two weeks, but she did recover, though she is just finishing up laser treatment on her feet burns. I will say that the kennel was apologetic during this time, and paid for her entire vet bill, which totaled close to $ 3,000. I even thought this would be the safest kennel to take my dog, assuming they would adopt a new policy and use a safer floor cleaner (this place has recently undergone new management). However, a family friend just picked their dog up from here two weeks ago, and had to take him for the vet for chemical burns on his underside. When asked about it, the kennel told the owner that it happens to 1 in 10 dogs that come in contact with the floor cleaner. I mentioned this to them in a review on their facebook page, and they deleted my review after commenting that the floor cleaner was a standard cleaner. Please avoid this place until they decide to make some changes.
