Dirty… check Creapy homeless guys in the corner… check Cheap bear… check Bartender with GNR shirt and ponytail… check This is what a dive bar should feel like. I was impressed for a dive bar. It kind of reminded me of a VFW one of the towns where that is the only drinking establishment. I ordered a Rolling Rock after seeing it in the case, the bartender tells me, «Nope we don’t carry that.» My response was, «Yup you do… its over there.» I think i humored the bartender. It smells like stale ciggs, and there was a lot of «Amusement Only» video poker machines. The crowds resembled much of a freak show, which is why i gave it 4 starts instead of 3. Good neighborhood dive bar…

Yeah, there’s nothing special here as the outside doesn’t look any different from any old liquor store you’d find in most rural towns. There were only 3 – 4 craft offerings and one of them was that blueberry crap that Michelob makes. At least they had enough Old Style and Old Milwaukee to supply the entire town.

My mom had a boyfriend she would meet here. His name was, Paul, I could go either way on him. He was a drunk and would make my mother meet him here. I visited her once or twice whilst they were«dating». Paul introduced me to the place. A seeming ly regular bar, that offered«packaged goods» as well. Prices were relative and service was ordinary. Most of were the memories of mother«dating», and my observations of such whilst sipping a cold old style. Saddly things didn’t work out with Paul, for my mother. She found some guy named god. Can’t say as to whether things are better for her now, but at least with Paul, she knew what she was getting.
