Ideal Beach Resort

At first glance, it looked a little bland. But I have to say we really like this campground. It used to be a yogi bear campground so the layout is pretty nice.
All sites are pull through and pretty level. Lots of trees keep the noise level down. They have plenty of bathhouses that are very well kept. No bugs clogging the lights or screens packed with bugs and cotton wood. They really have done a nice job with all the bathhouses. Each bath house has it’s own laundry mat. Bring coins.
The sites are fairly wide and it doesn’t feel like you are on top of everyone. Pool is well kept. They did have special events scheduled for the kids which was nice to see.
It would be nice if they would add a dog park. They have two huge open areas that they could do that with. Each site does have cable TV as well.

Positive– we went during the week, and it was peaceful! Close to park for the kid. Negative– hours posted on camp store and office are not followed. They close when they want. My son was playing games in the arcade and had to abandon because the girl was closing (at 8 P.M.) on a posted 9 P.M. time on the sign. The tram for Indiana Beach does not go through the campground– if you are parked at the other end– carrying a days worth of beach clothes and game prizes after an all day visit can kind of suck. The kids they hire for the store can not answer any questions– (having a knowledgable staff is invaluable). My biggest complaint– posting a schedule of fun activities for the kids, and then when we showed up they weren’t doing the activities. When asked the teenage boy that was supposed to do it got an attitude– not the way I want to spend my afternoon with my boy!

Don’t waste your time or money on the IB campgrounds until new owners take over. The campground is in such disrepair. The grass is not mowed, bathrooms are dirty. Pool doesn’t look like its ever been cleaned. No supplies in the camp store. No ice no firewood. Everything closes at 8pm in the middle of July with sun still out and 90 degrees. They kicked everyone out of the pool and closed.
The biggest problem is their water. The water in the campground is contaminated with Coliform. Of course they don’t tell you when you make a reservation. I spoke with the resort after the water contaminated my entire water system in my coach.
Campgrounds are empty people aren’t coming because it is so run down now.
Morgan RV has destroyed Indiana Beach and they don’t care.
Go somewhere else for vacation like Holiday World.
