3901 Ocean View Ave is a very historic Dental building. There has been a dentist in this office since 1949. With this tradition in mind Dr. Gonzalez has dedicated his career to making Montrose and the surrounding areas smile one patient at a time.

Hi, I’ve been a dentist for 19 years, graduating from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 1996. I bought the existing dental practice on Ocean View Blvd. in 2006, and there has been a dentist in the building at least since 1949. We do implants, braces, cosmetic dentistry, we see children and elderly. We do just about everything in dentistry. Give us a call and make an appointment. I promise we will treat you very well!

Dr. Gonzalez is brilliant with crowns (just look at my smile :)
He is a perfectionist and, believe me, you want that in this business. The other thing that’s great about Dr. Gonzalez is that he gives you options and an honest assessment of the pros and cons of each over time. I have been very pleased with his personal style and helpful staff. They are great!

I would not trust Dr. Gabriel Gonzales to do any work on my teeth. He lost my trust by scamming people with Craigslist ads. I went to Craigslist to copy the ad and post it here, but someone else had already «Flagged» the ad for removal, so it looks like I’m not the only one who was unhappy about getting scammed.
I replied to Dr. Gabriel Gonzales’ Craigslist ad for a «Free Dental Exam and Cleaning». The guy on the phone that sets up the appointments confirmed to me that I would receive both a «Free Dental Exam and Cleaning». We even set up the appointment so that there would be time to do the the free cleaning before their lunch break.
When I got there, they took x-​rays and examined for problems to fix, but all they could find was a chipped tooth, and that it’s time for a cleaning. Rather than giving me the free cleaning as advertised they tried to charge me $ 90 for it.
First the guy denied the ad said «free cleaning», when I said let’s look at the ad he claimed the ad said the free cleaning was only for the first 15 people, but that was nowhere to be found in the ad. Then he said that he had told me on the phone that I would not get a free cleaning, which is untrue. To top it all off he had an arrogant attitude!
Trust between me and my dentist is important to me. I cannot trust Dr. Gabriel Gonzales or his sales staff, and I cannot recommend him to anyone.

I can’t give him the 25 stars he deserves. Gabe is the best Dentist I have ever been to. A friend of mine from work recommend him to me after being butchered. Then as my girlfriend was in the chair at another dentist with a list of items she «needed» to get done, I called my friend to get Gabe’s info. He told her she needed about 1⁄5 of the work they told her she needed and shortly after I went to him. My first appointment with him was to finish a root canal and put a crown on it. Turns out I did not need a crown. He put a post in it and I got to keep the tooth. That was over 5 years ago and I still have that tooth. I am in serious need to visit him as it has been too long, but Gabriel is honest, and he does a great job. He has a great sense of humor and is always in a great mood. His staff is friendly and professional as well. As long as he is doing practice, he is my dentist. I come from Las Vegas to see him. No matter where I live, I will go to Montrose to see Gabe.

Dr. Gonzales is a top-​notch dentist, but beyond that he is a kind, compassionate and understanding man who truly cares about his patients’ well-​being. My wife had suffered through a horrific experience with another dentist which created physical, psychological and emotional damage. After hearing her story, he helped to correct the errors made and worked with us financially in ways no other dentist would. Beyond that, his compassion helped to heal my wife’s emotional scars to give her hope again. I will forever be grateful to him and can’t fathom going anywhere else.

Came in 1 yr ago as my bridge crown came off unexpectedly. Went to another dentist who threaten if I don’t do a permanent implant, no matter how good another crown is, it will drop off again. BS! I trust my gut feeling and came here for a 2nd opinion, viola! A better crown was made and till now there’s no problem :)
Very kind, friendly, and respect patient’s opinion (yes I definitely do not want an implant and he respects my view), not forceful, always smiling and encouraging. I never came across a dentist who is as nice as him, thus brought my toddlers kids here for their regular check up and they love him too. Haha, maybe it’s because of the treasure chest of cute freebie toys too.
Anyway, he’s the best :)

If I could give Dr. G and his staff 6 stars, I would. I have not had good experiences with dentists in the past, so I haven’t been to a dentist in at last 3 years. But since my dental insurance expires very soon I decided to go. I found Dr. G also on Unilocal based on others reviews and his office is very close to my home.
I explained to him that I’m a nurse and I tend to ask a lot of question and to please be patient with me. He was beyond kind and understanding. He cleaned my teeth and discovered 8 cavities!!! Aye aye aye! He knew I had anxiety about the dentist and spread them out over 4 visits. He was so gentle and he would explain everything to me before he did it. His assistant, Amber was an absolute doll as well. She was always looking out for my best interest. And thanks to Brittany at the front desk they were all to squeeze me in and get all my work done in the month before my coverage ended. This staff truly loves their job!
I can’t wait until I get dental insurance again so they can continue to be my dental office!!!

I brought my father in to get a replacement on his dentures. My dad is on a fixed income so we had to keep the services under a certain amount and have a payment plan that was affordable. Dr. Gonzales and his office staff provided everything my dad needed and more. They did it quickly and was totally affordable. I would recommend this office to anyone.
