Holy cow! What a sketchy, nasty hotel. When you first walk up to the door it looks like you just walked into the ghetto. The paint is coming off the door. Inside, the room is dingy and dark. There is supposed to be wifi but it doesn’t work. The worst thing is the back door is busted so it doesn’t lock… you literally get a stick to keep out the sketchy characters next door. I don’t even want to walk around barefoot. Do not stay at this place unless you want to be raped

Not recommended. Dark bungalows. Major security concern: Our Patio door could be pushed in by a 3-​year old. The cross bolt barely worked. My wife was very uncomfortable with this.
Terrible wi-​fi. Could not get it to work. Restaurant was dingy. Continental breakfast was very minimal. Just not a place I enjoyed or felt comfortable. Staff was ok. Price is alright.
Was happy to leave.

This was a horrible property and horrible experience. I would never recommend this property to anyone. The male front desk associate was SO rude. There was a giant spider and spider web across the front door as we entered our room. Our non-​smoking room smelt like thin dirty cigarette smoke. We later found a previous guest’s cigarette under the bed. All around TERRIBLE experience.

Where do I begin? I booked a block of rooms for my wedding so that we could all be near each other. None of our rooms were near each other. I reserved the bridal suite 2 weeks later they had lost my reservation so then I had to book the groom suite. They lost that reservation 3 more times. they lost that reservation 3 more times. Could not get our rooms cleaned the whole week we were there. The event coordinator for our meeting greet dinner store my mom’s credit card the manager to just do im but would not give us any of his information. someone who lives at that hotel had his dog walk in the car on very hot day. I asked if that could be fixed I was referred to as the girl complaining. The room that we were in for our wedding night we found out the next day was not the groom suite the grooms sweet had remained empty that whole night even though I had a reservation. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.

This hotel has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced! If it would have been possible to give negative stars that would be my review. We traveled to the area for a family reunion & arrived later in the evening. We called prior to our arrival to notify the front desk that we would have a late check in. They advised us that would not be an issue as long as it were before midnight. When we arrived at approximately 9:00 P.M. there was a long line of people standing at the front desk. There was only one person working the front desk, which for later at night was understandable, until we found out there was more staff on site to be assisting, including a manager! Here is where the true dismay of the evening came about. When we finally got to the front of the line we were told by the employee that they no longer had any rooms available. I questioned her as to how it was possible to sell a room to someone else when I had made reservations months in advance. Her response was & continued to be «I’m sorry but there is nothing I can do». She had absolutely no remorse or any customer service skills whatsoever. At this point I asked to speak with her manager. She told me that he was on site but didn’t know where he was. Then suddenly he appears out of nowhere. I do not want to attack anyone personally in this review because this is supposed to be a review for quality of customer service, or lack there of, but this manager couldn’t have been more than 22 – 23 years old. I only mention this due to his lack of ability to handle the situation. I explained to him that in this situation it is the hotel’s responsibility to relocate anyone who is affected by their mistakes. When I asked him to find us a room his response was this «I am not paying for it personally». I could not believe that for such a large corporation that I was receiving such poor customer service. This property is apparently owned & operated by Wyndham Resorts & Ramada. I would expect for a corporation in the resort & hotel industry to have staff that is more trained & accommodating to the needs of their customers. I will be contacting the corporate office to make a formal complaint & ask them to reimburse me for the hotel that I had to find at now 10:00 P.M. with no help from their inadequate staff. Being a Friday night during wedding season & travel season this was no easy task but I am pleased to report that the Holiday Inn Express at the Air Force Academy was more than helpful & accommodating as a hotel should be. Not only did they have great customer skills & greeted us with all the appropriate kindness but they also gave us a discount for our rooms.
I have stayed at many Ramada Hotels & Wyndham properties in my life but this will be the last. I will not support any business that does not employ quality staff or support them in any way with trainings or education on how to handle such situations. I hope this review steers anyone away from staying at the Sundance Lodge owned by Ramada because quite honestly I wouldn’t wish anyone to go through being treated how my family & I were by these employees last night.

FYI, this property is now owned by Ramada. Absolutely horrific. It took over 2.5 hours for us to check-​in. Why? Because they kept putting us in unclean, filthy rooms. One room even had multiple day old urine in the toilet when we walked in. Another room didn’t even have pillow cases on the pillows. Staff is unprofessional and not willing to help. There was a line of other guests with similar issues. I overheard one couple who walked into a room that had someone else’s suitcases on the bed! They clearly have no processes in place. Hotel hell! Eventually had to work with Ramada’s corporate office to get refunded. If you are looking for the worst hotel experience of your life this is your place!

This place is not good. Our bathroom floor had hair all over it. Who knows when it was last cleaned. We had a problem with the toilet. I told the front desk at 7:30 in the morning. When we finally got back to the room at 8:00pm it hadn’t been fixed. Apparently the front desk had been trying to get a hold of the maintenance guy all day and just couldn’t reach him. They told me he lives on site and they couldn’t find him??? I’m pretty sure he quit and the hotel can’t afford to hire a plumber. They decided to move us to a different room but refused to do anything extra to show us they cared. The staff is rude and uncaring. I would recommend that you stay away from this place.

If I could give them zero I would. My first impression was I. Got everything in my room, flipped over the pillow, and there was a flea in my bed. Immediately grabbed my stuff and my service dog, and moved to a different room. This room had bed bugs, I had already drove for fifteen hours along with switching rooms once, and was too tired to even care. Oakleys margaritas are made with tequila and sweet and sour, nasty. Most of the staff was rude (all but 3) the manager didn’t give a lick what I said, housekeeping sucked. If you’re looking for a long term hotel, don’t stay here. They treat you like you’re actually renting an apartment from them, and don’t do shit for you. Would never come to this dirty place again. Don’t give this place the time of day. Not to mention I had to call the police on a couple who refused to stop harassing me, because that’s what the front desk told me to do. mnext think you know, management sent the police to my door because I was causing issues? Got kicked out a week before I was scheduled to. Don’t give this place the time of day.
If you’re wondering about the room? Small. Patio doors don’t lock. Two outlets with huge power strips. I got a letter while there asking to conserve energy, shut off ACs when not needed. Please, I will do what I want with a room I was playing 1,100 $ for. My vehicle got damaged in the parking lot, too. This place looks really nice, don’t stay there for anything extended. mone night will do ya.

I started with 5 stars, but subtracted a star for each of these deficiencies: over priced, malfunctioning ‘jetted in-​room tub’, and management’s laughing response to my complaint.
The bridal suite was large, the poster bed huge, and the bar/​bistro food was very good.
All of these were overshadowed by the management’s inept response that no one else ever complained of their stay in that suite. Really? Doubtful!

Great value. Cute and clean hotel close to the freeway. The bar and restaurant plays live music throughout the week. The grounds are very pretty.

Would have preferred to stay here than Palmer Divide… the rooms are quite dated, but they are closer to «things», and the bar is funky and fun.

OK, but failed to live up to their promiises. Bed was comfortable, and room looked like they had tried to remodel but it had a dank/​dingy smell we could not quite place. After placing an initial booking online more than a month in advance I called and spoke with the lodge to be request a room with mountain views (we are from Florida) and to ask a few questions to satisfy my wife’s concerns. They assured me they had several great rooms and had reserved one we would like. We appear to have been put into a near empty wing undergoing renovations with a view of the interior courtyard. Looking for the ice machine I saw ladders, room contents outside, and other construction materials in the corridors. No rooms in the other presumably finished wings were available so we aired the room out for a few hours with no results.
My wife’s allergies (one of her concerns) did not fare well. We were able to find a room in another hotel and are moving today. No real interest shown by the staff for our early checkout. Too bad, as I like to use local businesses.

Needing a room for the night we stumbled upon this place. We loved it. There Is a relaxed warm and friendly vibe. Nothing like the plastic motel we anticipated finding for the night. It is really a special find and a bargain for the good times within.

If you’re looking for a room for a few nights, PASS THIS PLACE UP. We checked in late at night and upon entering our room, discovered a champagne bottle wrapper on the floor, schmutz on the decorative bed pillows, used wash cloths hanging on the shower rod, a toilet that didn’t work properly, and this mini-​fridge that popped and hummed all freakin’ night long. Upon viewing such terrible accommodations, we immediately called the front desk to ask if we could get a refund since we had only just walked into the room. Their response was that they required 24hrs notice for any cancelation… long story short, we bit it and stayed that night since we were exhausted from traveling all day. What was supposed to be a 3-​night stay at this crummy place turned into a 1-​night stay; thank God we were able to book our remaining nights elsewhere at the last moment.
We remember when the Woodmoor area of Monument, CO was the posh place to be. But that was 25 years ago when we lived nearby; clearly this is not the case any longer. This lodge was a total CRAPFEST.

Don’t check in late or you may never check in! Spoke with someone about late check in. Arrived around midnight after driving hours down from Avon to a call box where I was given a code to get to my room key but the lock box was empty. As I stood out in the cold waiting for further instruction I was told to go to a place down the street and call back in the morning. With 2 kids in the car I drove around for an hour unable to find some place open or reasonable. Never have received an apology, terrible way to treat a customer.

I was moving in from Phoenix and figured this would be a good place to try out. The hotel view on the outside is gorgeous, the beds are comfortable, and the room is pretty spacious. Also, the view from my balcony is of lake that is inhabited by ducks.
At this point you may be wondering why I gave this hotel a two star review. Well, for starters the sink in my bathroom is leaking, and there is a lot of black mold there. The hot water frequently runs out, leaving us with cold showers. With my range extender on my laptop I can get WIFI from across the street at the McDonalds from my hotel rool, but I can’t get on the WIFI at the hotel. I’ve called the front desk three or four separate times, but they can’t figure out the problem.
I was however able to connect to their wifi for about three hours before it booted me off, and now I can’t connect at all anymore. during that three hours I found out that the hotel staff has taken upon itself to block certain web pages. I’m an adult and I’m on vacation, it is not the hotel’s responsibility to restrict my access to the internet!
Their laundry room consist of a washer, and a dryer. I think it’s intentionally misleading to say that a hotel has an on-​sight laundry facility if you only have one washer and one dryer. The nearest laundry facility is about a twenty minute drive away. Also, almost all of the outlets in the room are used by the various electronics. If you plan to stay here, don’t come without a power strip of your own.

I’ve reduced this place from two stars to one, and here’s why:
I’ve been living here for about a month now. Since then the maintenance supposedly fixed the mold problem, but it looks more like they just painted over it. The black mold is back in force now.
Earlier my girlfriend tried to call to see what the deal is with the hot water, but the office was very rude to her. The dryer also broke down 45 minutes before she had to be ready for work. The front office didn’t help with that either.
Also, I figured it’d be useful to know that the WIFI here has youtube blocked. Also, we can hear the neighbors talk through the walls. I can’t wait to get out of here.

Just got back from a wonderful stay there. Not fancy, fairly rustic, but that is it’s charm! It’s just off the highway a bit, but once inside, you are in a mountain lodge!
My room was clean, quiet, nicely decorated, and had a waterfall outside. The staff were al helpful and friendly. I didn’t encounter any challenges, but I saw someone who did, and the manager, Jane, immediately went out of her way to see that he was happy.
This is a great place for a wedding, a reunion or other special event, the grounds are beautiful, with a view of Pike’s Peak, and the location is so convenient! I will definitely be back, and recommend it if you are looking for a Colorado Mountain experience just 50 miles from Denver!

I stayed here twice, and the second time was only because I had a 25% discount from the problems I encountered the first time.
I do have to say that both times my room was fine, although the first time was during the winter and it took forever to get it above 60 degrees. The wireless Internet was marginally better the second time, but don’t plan on doing much other than check emails, otherwise you will be frustrated. I was put in a room on the east side and was told the wifi was better there, FYI.
As other Unilocalers pointed out, the use of the little signs is quirky. While I understand the rationale behind them, the room price certainly should allow for automatic maid service. That is something that shouldn’t be ala carte.
My issue the second time was with the staff. It was pouring when I checked in and was misdirected to my room and seeing as there are no roofs covering the second floor hallways, I got drenched. When I returned to the front desk to find out where my room was, I was informed I looked at the hotel layout map wrong and the implication was very clear I was at fault, even though the desk clerk didn’t even bother to explain it to me the first time. That would have been ok as the next morning the sky was clear and I found myself hoping this place could make it; the grounds are pretty nice, if rustic, and I liked the room. I had to go to an early morning breakfast meeting so when I returned to my room, I slipped the very flimsy «do not disturb» sign on the door and thought I’d take a bit of a nap before heading on my way. Not to be…
Disregarding the sign, the cleaning crew pounded on my door at 10:30 and when I answered and pointed out the sign, I was told they always do this. I again pointed out the sign and closed the door. At 11:00 she was back but said she was from the front desk and checkout was at 11 so I had to get out. I told her no one informed me of the time and I thought it was at noon. I noticed she had removed the sign from my door and she told me to call the front desk if I had a problem, otherwise I had to leave. When I pointed out she said she was from the front desk she got mad. I closed the door and heard her swear. Needless to say I quickly packed but before leaving I searched all over to find any checkout information, but there was none.
I made it a point to talk to the owner and she was very apologetic, even offered to comp my room, but the point wasn’t to get my room for free, rather it was to let her know how unprofessional her staff was, and how uninformative.
I won’t be staying here a third time. Way too many problems and I don’t like to spend that kind of money to get belittled.

What a beautiful venue for a wedding! The grounds are amazing, with lots of different areas for ceremonies, receptions, cocktails and dancing! The only downside is proximity to a hotel, but there are shuttle services in the area that can easily solve that problem. Love!

Ok, so we didn’t spend a great deal of time here but from the few hours we did hang out it was a pretty solid experience. I would call this place a nice little «get out of town for one night» spot where you can feel like you’re on vacay but it’s still close to most things.
I had the fortune of staying in the family suite which was pretty sweet. Two beds in the sleeping room, a nice kitchen area with a FULL SIZE FRIDGE, microwave and cabinet space. There was a nice seating room with a pull-​out couch and a cute little balcony that overlooked a lake. And yes, you also see some monstrosity of a grey building but c’mon — it’s Monument.
Other guests in smaller rooms mentioned that the walls were super thin and they could hear a lot from the other rooms. The trick to this is to party hard and pass out so you aren’t bothered by surround sounds.
There’s a pool, little pathways that zigzag throughout the complex, a restaurant/​bar and room for parties all in the same building. Also, there was ample parking and the whole place felt welcoming and rugged. I would stay here again.
