Waffle House

Great place to go for yummy breakfast foods! Be prepared to wait for a table though. But, not long! The process of how they work together is pretty cool. There’s a meat man, an egg/​hasbrown man, and a bread/​waffle man. They also have a bus boy who greets you @ the door to welcome you! Our waitress was lacking personality, and didn’t give us menus & my coffee got cold. The establishment was cold which I understand it’s for the cooks but, you have to wolf down your food so it doesn’t get cold. The other waitresses were rocking it! $ 30 for 3 people was not good for breakfast! So, make good choices from the menu!

I was headed to a different restaurant this morning for breakfast but because it is New Year’s day which is a national holiday that restaurant was closed so I stopped into waffle house with my two-​year-​old girl. We went on a daddy daughter date for breakfast she wanted pancakes for breakfast after getting in and sitting down and getting our drinks I realize that waffle house does not serve pancakes oh what a sad look on my little girls face when she realize that they didn’t have pancakes but our waiter went above and beyond took the waffle batter and mixed it with some milk to make it a little thinner and made my little girl a pancake and how did he make her day. The rest of the food was also very delicious I love waffle house great staff great atmosphere at this location and it was very clean.

What can you say bad about a local institution that serves really good food at reasonable prices, has a wonderful & friendly staff & puts on a great show on a great griddle. Plus hash browns served scattered, smothered & OMG I forgot the other adjective. Anyway they come with onions, cheese, gravy, mushrooms, jalapenos and several other combos. Eggs are done exactly how you order them, toast already buttered lavishly & delicious waffles. Great ice tea & quick service. It is a blast from the past. I can remember when every town, big or small had a waffle house, then Denny’s & Shoneys arrived & people moved on. It’s a shame because waffle houses are still an great institution!

Chris manned the griddle, and Kato took my order. They were both super friendly and conversational.
Waffle. House. I just keep coming back to that. I really dig the old school vibe. You sit at the counter, and they make your food right in front of you. And everything is cooked in butter.
Unabashed and gratuitous use of butter. It’s almost sexy. I even asked for more for my country biscuit. This made Chris blush.
Love the hash browns, the biscuits and the eggs. And everything, I mean everything can come topped with cheese.
