History

Established in 1924.

While running a barber school, Franco Cipriotti found the future in Ladies Hairdressing.

He transformed his barber school, State Beauty, into a beauty culture school called Maison de Paris, which was the first cosmetology school in the state of New Jersey. In 1965 Franco’s daughter Anna took over the school from her father. The school continued its success and had outgrown the space devoted to it. With the continual growth across the span of the 3 generations, the school has moved from its origins in Philadelphia, and now resides in Voorhees, New Jersey.

Anna’s husband, Sal Rizzieri joined the business, and began expanding by opening up their first salon, House of Capri. House of Capri was located in Runnemede, New Jersey. Many of Rizzieri’s talented staff today started at that very salon.

From their early beginnings they kept growing their business to what it is today.

It is because of that passion that Frank not only runs a very successful business enterprise, he also is a renowned editorial hairstylist and travels around the world, co founded a hair tool company called Rsession Pro Tools and is the Creative Director and spokesperson for a national hair extension company called VOMOR. Even though his different businesses have won many awards, he has won the most sought after hair award, known as NAHA which is the highest honor bestowed to a hairstylist in all of North America. Rizzieri has won it three times.

Is the best hair stylist, she’s been doing my hair for years and just recently dyed my hair from completely blonde to brunette and it came out very natural and beautiful and it feels very soft. I went in for a massage as a lovely gift from my husband. Worse massage ever. First I waited ten minutes in area past my appointment time while the staff walked by me. Finally she asked are u … She walked by my several times and never thought to ask me who I was waiting for. Second she spent like15 minutes on a useless face massage. Third, I kept asking for more pressure on my shoulder/neck area due to tensions and nothing. She literally just gave me soft strokes. I had no relief of tension. I have been to many places for massages and this was he worse. I felt so bad when I got home and my husband said how was it. I told him what happened and he apologized for the horrible service. He then gave me a home massage which was ten times better. I was so furious I didn’t even leave a tip.

If you want fabulous fashion forward beautification Mecca, this is the place. I have going to this salon for years bouncing from one stylist to another… I finally found the one who matches and delivers the style I want — the soft spoken Frank Rizzieri. They have everything: blow out bar, make up artists, hair extraordinaire, nails, upscale spa + treatments, swanky barber, and strong wifi. You cannot get better than this!

Huge fan of this place. Favorite hairstylist is Kathryn who always always gets my hard to understand wants perfect. And appointments are so easy to get, even same day. It’s a full service salon. It’s always such a pleasure being pampered there. The prices are right in line with other salons. Location is fun at Moorestown Mall if you have free time to shop or catch a movie.

I adore this salon — everytime i go there, my experience is perfection. I get my color done with Jill — she is AWESOME! I highly, highly recommend Jill. I’ve done single process as well as (recently) highlights. The service at this salon is top notch. The front desk is helpful with scheduling appointments, always doing whatever is necessary to fit an appointment in, which is very helpful (sadly, at many salons, the front desk is completely apathetic). Jill amazes me because she is ALWAYS on time. I’ve never had to wait even a minute — and i completely expect to as salons really are at the whim of their clients’ timeliness. What it tells me is that the system is a good one — the stylists, colorists, etc. are well scheduled. Again, many salons completely over-book the staff resulting in protracted waits. Most importantly, my color is ALWAYS right on — it is that which keeps me coming back. The salon is also gorgeous and soothing — very modern and spotlessly clean. Everyone is super nice! Love it here!

One day before my wife’s birthday a salon damaged her hair I spoke to Michelle at the front desk at Rizzieri and she made sure she got my wife in at her convenience and made sure that the the procedure was flawless my wife could not be happier and will never go to another salon kudos to Michelle and everyone Rizzieri they know how to treat a client

I have to say, I have been to some of the best spas in the country and when it comes to Aveda salons, I am a huge fan. That being said, I was disappointed with Rizzieri Moorestown. Though the salon is beautiful and spacious the spa aspect of the location leaves much to be desired.
I was first escorted through the salon which looked sleek, modern and all a buzz with blow dry and hair clipping. As I entered the frosty double doors leading to the spa I was excited… But all that ended when I entered the locker room with one ladies bathroom and a small walk-in shower. The area was pretty small and I felt cramped having to change basically on top of the other spa goers. The changing area was about an arm’s length wide– thank god I love yoga… Cause that’s what I needed to maneuver the area comfortably.
I put all that aside and walked out to the waiting area which was also cramped. Though the area is well draped and adorned in a lux charcoal with silver accents, it still misses the mark as you could only fit about 3 average seated adults in the area. I know because again, I practically had to somersault over other day spa goers.
My massage was nice enough, but, my exit was annoying. The checkout girl was curt and rude. She essentially waved me on when I asked if I could leave a tip for my masseuse… Again this was AFTER me telling her that it was my first time there. OBVIOUSLY I don’t know where anything was located.
I’m a medical professional and customer service is KEY in my industry. I’m very disappointed with my Rizzieri Moorestown experience and will drive to AC or New York for a real day spa experience in the future.

Big fan of Rizzieri’s new location in the Moorestown Mall, which is super close to my parents’ house and therefore, very convenient. I booked a facial with Christina, who is the only person I have ever gone to for a facial at Rizzieri. As usual, my service was five stars and I left feeling fresh and relaxed.
The facility is a little odd with regards to the set-up. The space for the beauty salon is enormous (and so loud when several hair dryers are going at once — some sound absorbing panels would be really helpful), while the spa areas are small and even a bit cramped with regards to the lounge and locker rooms. The locker area is super tiny — more than two women would not fit comfortably in the tight space. And the lockers themselves are very small. A winter coat, purse and clothing could barely fit, and only when the coat was folded over and shoved in.
Alas, I don’t go to a spa for the locker rooms so the above comments are just little pet peeves that won’t deter me from Rizzieri. I just wish they dedicated a little more room to the spa since there is an abundance of it in the salon.
