Very friendly family business! We went in for the lunch buffet. The lunch buffet didn’t offer much but for $ 5.99 you get to eat a few things on your plate and go back for more. The waiter came to us to check if everything was good and after the skinny noodles were empty by the buffet I told him I wanted more so he went and brought me a big plate to my table freshly made!
They have ice cream for dessert that is included so you can’t go wrong for that price!

The food was excellent! Mrs Sock was olé so sweet. I will be back to visit when I come back to town. The food was very reasonable as well. You definitely get your moneys worth.

Tokyo is by far one of my favorite places to eat around here. Prices are low and the sushi is always good. The lunch buffet doesn’t offer much, but is extremely cheap and for about a dollar or two you get as much sushi as you want freshly made. The owners are super friendly and it’s a great family business.

Well to be honest we went in for the sushi buffet but saw no sushi. We did look at the buffet and everything looks like it had been sitting there for a very long long time. But to be honest the lady said anything we wanted she would cook fresh. It just did not look very appetizing so we left. There were also only 2 people in the place

Lunch was a different experience than dinner. Sloppy, rude waiters. Mediocre food. Only positive was that they had ice cream. Will not return.

My fiancée and I tried this place about a year ago with a groupon because we are both sushi lovers. This place is fantastic! Their elaborate sushi rolls range from $ 9 – 13 and their less elaborate like a standard crunchy roll are around $ 4. My honest opinion is it is an excellent value especially at a lower price point you get really good sushi. Is it the best thing ever? Not quite, BUT it is very very good sushi. I was hesistant at first I’m like cheaper sushi usually means not good. This is not the case here! The quality has always been very yummy when we have gone (about 5 – 6 times now) and I would rank it among my top 3 sushi places. The others on my list all are a minimum of $ 15 a roll. Definitely worth a shot and see for yourself! This is one of maybe ten reviews I’ve written in my life, typically I don’t do this but I felt like they really needed to get the word out there! Service was a little slow initially but once we ordered we got our food quickly and it was superb.

Terrible service, completely rushed the whole time for no reason.
Food was bland, but you get what you pay for.
Top it off we were charged for a whole other table, and given the wrong check.

Staff was very friendly!!! Excellent prices! Sushi was very fresh and yummy! Ordered the Japanese Vegetables with fried rice and carrots. Really good! I’ve been to a lot of Japanese restaurants and sushi in and out of the country and I can say this was really good quality. Sushi special was 3 rolls for $ 8.99. Received good fortune here as well :)
Has good selection of beer. Husband got the Shrimp. It wasn’t tiny it was the big fresh good quality shrimp! On the way out we noticed there is a drive up window. We will def be using this in the future.

I love this place! I can’t speak for the buffet as I have not tried it. But the cooked meals are always fresh & filling. The people who own it are very polite as well. I go in there so often they pretty much know what I like. Cheap and delicious. Give this place a shot. For those who appreciate beer they have the standard beers most restaurants do but they also have Sapporo beer. Not a fan of it on it’s own but it complements the food well.

I absolutely LOVE this place! They’re close to home and the 3 rolls for $ 8.99 is awesome for lunch or take-​out for dinner. Friendly staff, clean dining area, delicious food, good prices… what more do you want?! Actually, the only thing that I have to complain about is that the crab rangoons are a little dough-​y. Will continue to go back.

To be blunt, I’m both cheap and picky. Tokyo leaves my stomach and my wallet satisfied.
The sushi isn’t the best in the world, but if you want something good without spending a lot this is the place. Their quick entrees, in my opinion, offer more flavor than that of their competitors in the same price bracket. (Shiki, I’m looking at you.) Plus, the soba noodles are delicious.

I regularly get Groupon and other coupon website alerts for this restaurant… I will not buy them and don’t recommend them. The food was greasy and tasted like it had sat out all day. Thankfully I didn’t get sick, but it was awful. So bad I’m unwilling to try it again, even at a discount. Service was minimal and dry…

A very friendly staff cooking up, rolling up and serving up sushinese standards. Of course every one of these types of places is due its bit of fame and spotlighting for a roll or two. I say go with the standard Crunchy Roll for a well-​above standard flavor. And the Lightning Roll is to die for… by electric shock to be exact. This thing is loaded with shredded crab meat. Also, they’ve got a pretty cool 3-​rolls for $ 9 deal when you order from their basic sushi roll menu. Although I will say, for the discounted price these are a bit better and more unique than what you may be expecting.
Ambiance-​wise, they could use a little work. Interesting décor but it’s looking a bit decrepit in places. I will say though this adds, even if only slightly, a touch Tokyo charm. Take it from a guy whose eaten at some sketchy-​ass places in Japan. Probably the biggest kicker for them would have to be that they have a drive-​thru window. Their location in what I perceive to be a gutted TCBY at one time gave them a window at the end of shopping mall. So hey, eff it, let’s use the dang thing!

We took some friends of ours here on a Groupon… This was their first experience with eating sushi. Amazingly, these «meat and potato’ers» enjoyed their experience!
My husband and I have been to lots of sushi restaurants and found this to be pretty good sushi. It was fresh and tasty. Our server was very kind and friendly.
I would recommend the «Crazy Roll» — rather unclear what it is in but very tasty. And also, to my surprise, the «Super Shrimp» was great — the cream cheese was not over-​done as it is sometimes.

Quick, fresh ingredients. Most dishes healthy accept for sodium content, but cooks will gladly adjust. Not fancy, bldg. older, but for fast good food great choice.

Neat place… Stopped in for sushi. The rolls were fresh and yummy. They have special deals on they’re rolls, like 3 rolls for under $ 10 and they even have an all you can eat rolls cheap. Specials are only on house rolls and not on specialty rolls. We havent tried they’re food or buffet but the rolls were nice especially for the price. Nice friendly staff. We would say 3.5 stars bordering 4 based on location and whats offered. If your near it, give it a try…

Great teriyaki chicken with shrimp sauce, fried rice, and sweet carrots. Super cheap– they also have a buffet which has a good selection. Apparently you can only get this type of Americanized Japanese food with shrimp sauce in NC, so I always go here whenever I come home. Great staff.

This is one of the first places that I visit anytime I come home. I have never had anything bad from here. It is always very quick, staff is always great. Awesome food at a cheap price. The carrots make the whole thing worth it.
