The principal, Mrs. Ryals, is very approachable and kind. The office staff has always been pleasant and helpful. School campus is well kept and clean. School focuses greatly on reading and writing, these basics have helped my kiddo excel.

Not happy this year with principle and office staff. They are something else. The principle change was supposed to be for the best, unfortunately the staff has done a 180. rules dont apply to all when visiting the school. The gals in the front need to be more humble and treat parents equally. The staff is too comfortable with principal and principal is not good at running the school. Very poor parent interaction, even in a 1on1 meeting. if you voice your concerns about how things or situations are being handled the gossip starts amoung staff and will effect your child academically not to mention how one is treated and feels. I feel un wanted and not welcome in my own kids school. in the beginning of the year 1 child would come home with notes about situations I felt could be addressed differently and they would have him write it addressed to us and how it would not happen again. Accountability? I am all for it! The question is, what is the school doing to promote positive behavior? I know all that they do if you ask. Its not enough! Parents speak up take action. If you are not happy go directly to district, write a letter and put your children wherever you fit best. After my one on one with the principle I forsee no change. Condescending she acts like everything is perfect. Hopefully the school district can help train or remind staff how to conduct themselves during work hours. Way too much gossip. fortunately we wont stick around as our kids deserve better treatment just like the parents. I said before Moorpark has good schools and that is very true, because our children are happier now moved!
