Specialties
Our specialty is simply, 1 on 1 physical therapy care to help you heal in the best & most effective way possible. It starts and ends with you!
We began with a consultation to make sure that we are confident in our ability to help you. We follow that with veryfing your insurance benefits so that you have no surprises. Then, we perform a thorough evaluation to find the root of your pain and concerns. And because our sessions are 1 on 1, between you & the therapist (not with just helpers), you will receive their full attention and you can pick your favorite music!
Our holistic & integrated approach to physical therapy allows us to address your pain with both techniques from modern research as well as from time tested oriental healing arts. Hands on treatments are then used to restore your body’s mobility so you can move better and with greater ease. We teach you exercises based on latest physical therapy science as well as novel & fun movements from my Tai Chi & martial arts background. These exercises help you become stronger & more coordinated to enhance your life and prevent re-injuries.
Some of the conditions we specialize in include pain of many manners: headache, neck, shoulder, back, hip & knee. We also work with nerve conditions such as carpal tunnel, Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis & GBS. We also offer group fitness & Tai Chi classes.
We know you have choices for your care and we thank you for trusting us with your time and your health.
History
Established in 2014.
We decided to start our own physical therapy practice after being disappointed by having to compromise the needs of our patients with the needs of our employer’s profit margin. We believe that physical therapy, done right, should be practiced expertly, compassionately, and ethically in a manner that benefits the patient.
Plexus, meaning a junction, represents our vision in which the physical therapist’s expertise, the effort of the patient, and the support of friends, families and other professionals can come together and positively transform the lives of everyone involved. It also represents our belief in the union between the science of modern science and the art of complementary & alternative health practices.
Meet the Business Owner
Chester L.
Business Owner
I became a physical therapist to help people move better, feel better, and live better lives. I took a scenic journey to becoming a physical therapist but I am very happy to be here now! California State University of Long Beach was bold enough to grant me a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy and unleash me into the world. And I am very grateful for the training and support they have provided me.
When not seeing patients, I enjoy practicing Taichi and martial arts, travelling, and being outdoors. My next short term goal is to get a dog! Possibly: shiba inu, pug, whippet, or corgi. But most likely, the sweetest one at the pound.
