Their holiday lights display is really cool. A drive thru experience with displays from Moose clubs around the county. Well worth the $ 10 donation.

As we live basically across the street on former Mooseheart land, we have had quite a few occasions this year to interact with them. We attended the circus that they hosted for a week which, despite it being ugly hot and sweaty inside that big tent, was a ton of fun and my son really really enjoyed it. We always head over there anytime there’s either a Safety Day or Emergency Vehicle show as Aidan loves his firetrucks and police cars. But most recently we’ve driven through the property at night to witness the collection of Christmas lights(something like 80+ light displays). We did this THREE times this winter and each time our little guy loved it so so much. It’s nice to be able to help in just a small way and we appreciate the openness that Mooseheart shows the local community.

So my interaction with the world of Mooseheart has been a strange one… I once went on a few dates with a girl who told me she was moving to the Moose to work and had little time for socializing just a hardcore relationship(also known as the hairy arms incident) and then recently when my our school played their high school regional state tournament games there. Now despite the outcomeof the games I will say that the staff at the Moose were extremely helpful and thee whenever we needed even the smallest thing. The food they had available for the coaches and refs was homemade and amazing… you can go out an order stuff, but there’s something about homemade turkey and dressing, or mostacolli and sweet tea… something that says they cared enough to put in valuabe time to make your day/night better. I dig that. Again the staff was efficient, friendly and helpful, and even gave our kids free food and popcorn afterwards. Despite whatever the turnout was going to be(we eventually lost in the championship game) i was leaving a fan of Mooseheart, its staff, and its beautiful campus. As for the girl in the earlier story, she is still there, hairy arms and all… which is ok because hairy arms are apparently very normal.
