There’s nothing wrong with this location. They don’t call numbers here but just bring food to your table. That’s probably only location that does it. Kinda weird but also nice. Seatings are a bit old with some damage on them. It’s clean and not smelly. My eggs were just as I order them, my pancakes were great as expected. There’re only 4 nation’s giants locations that were under 5 stars in my opinion: Hayward, San Leandro, Concord and Oakland But any other location I visited honestly deserved 5 stars. Especially this one.

First time going to Nation’s Giant Hamburgers and it was definitely worth it! My co worker had recommended this place since my other co worker and I have never tried it. It took a while to find the location because the place was hidden behind trees. The place looked very clean and nice. We each got a bacon cheese burger with an egg! I got a hash brown and my co worker got fries. The food took maybe 10 minutes. It was really good, but super messy! Definitely will be coming back in the future. Minus one star because workers weren’t that nice.

By the time me and my man were done running around with errands last night it became 10pm and we were starving! Not much is open this late in Lafayette so I went to my trusty Unilocal app to see what we could find. We were both wanting something quick because we had to be up early the next day for work. Nations was about the closest thing that popped up and we both agreed ! Finally… I haven’t had Nations in a LONG time. It was a little after 10pm and not that many people in the restaurant. This particular location is very small, probably fits less than 50 people inside. The gentleman at the counter greeted us right away. My guy placed the order, we shared a cheeseburger, fries and a slice of chocolate pie. We basically shared the calories =)The burgers are larger in size so I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat it all, I’m glad we shared everything It was just enough food for the both of us. Food was good, service was also good.

There should be no rhyme or reason anyone waits more than twenty minutes for a two egger to go order at Nations. However, this is the case at this Nations. The service here is slow point blank. The ladies are also rude over the phone. We get you hate your jobs but don’t take it out on your customers.

I don’t understand what all the fuss is about this chain. Hamburgers are overpriced. A ¾ lb hamburger sure looked like it was more toppings than meat. The cheese was disgusting tasting. The«grilled onions» were barely cooked at all. Food was cold, despite us picking up the food as soon as our number was called. Bacon smelled funny. Hamburger buns were wrinkled and squashed flat. Root beer dispenser was empty, and wasn’t refilled despite us telling the staff that it was empty. French fries were good and hot(probably why the rest of our food was cold). Extremely underwhelmed, and doubt we will be back.

I love the chilli fries, pies and shakes! Staff is always nice and cool! There breakfast is really good and the staff is very nice! Although, sometimes, I have to wait ten minutes just to place an order, but that’s because they are busy! If you are craving good american food, come stop by, it is worth the money!

Well. The food is fine. It’s more a place for teens to hang out. Cozy and good enough to spend some time yet it’s breakfast menu is different.

One of the better diner burgers around. I’ve never had there breakfast, but I’ve heard good things.

Called in an order to go — «give us ten minutes.» 15min later when I showed up they hadn’t started it yet… and place was NOT busy. Took 30+ min to make a cheeseburger. 5 people«working» & yet there’s trash everywhere — tables, counters, floor. Turn off

Really good food and shake I enjoyed it thoroughly, only downside to me would be the prices

I love how it’s so affordable for a college student. I’m a big guy…(6’10 and 270 pounds). I get a three egger and it fills me up every single time for about 8 $. The only thing that can be improved is when you call ahead to place an order. Countless times I’ve done this and they would say 15 minutes and it turns into well over an hour. Just know that when they say it’s ready in 15 minutes give it at least thirty. There breakfast is great! The eggs are never under or over cooked and the breakfast meats are always fresh and cooked to order. There pies are awesome. My favorites have to be the pumpkin and chocolate crème pie. I wasn’t too impressed with their cheesecake. It was really rich and super heavy. I haven’t tried their burgers or other sandwiches so there isn’t much I can say about that. If you want an inexpensive meal that’s filling this is your place!

This place is so nostalgic for me. So many times here while in high school down the street. And my grandpa always loved coming here for breakfast when he would visit. The only minus star is because I came here recently and it took so long to get our food. Longer than usual and there were three people back there working. The burgers are delicious but beware if you don’t like onion that much — the put what seems like a whole one on the burger. Delicious to me though!

What can one really say about a chain like Nation’s other than it’s «A-OK?» This location, and the one on Moraga Way in Orinda, are pretty much the same. And that, I believe, is both the strength and downfall of chains, right? If you’re in a new place and aren’t necessarily in the mood to try something brand new, the familiar sight of Nation’s lets you know that you’re going to get a meal that is, bare minimum, edible, fairly inexpensive, and at least not McDonald’s. Or, you could be too lazy to cook dinner when you get home at 7PM, and live in Lamorinda where there aren’t lots of options a la Downtown Berkeley, so you find yourself here with your two younger brothers. Which… was exactly the scenario that played out last week. It took about 15 minutes to get the following to-go: Small Strawberry Shake — 2.85 2 Hamburgers — 4.20/each Cheeseburger — 4.95 2 French Fries — 1.85/each Regular Slice of Chocolate Crème Pie — 3.85 Notes: Their burgers are ¾ lb Their regular slice is ¼ of the pie(I’m a dessert addict, but even I like to share a slice with someone else) Lots of parking around, adequate seating, fairly clean, friendly and prompt service… like I said before — A’OK

Oops! I walked in for a slice of pie and stood at the counter for a few minutes before I realized no one would be eating a slice of pie this afternoon! There was no one at the counter! Not even a bell! Two stars because we all know the pie is damn good!

I have cut this place slack on how long it takes to get your order because, hey… at least it’s pretty good, right? They’ve gotten more consistent staffing recently, which has helped, but be prepared to wait…

I’ve been to multiple Nation’s locations over the years and this one was by far the worst. My husband and I took our kids here for a late breakfast/early lunch on our way to another event in the area. It was busy when we walked in, and we ended up cleaning our own table in order to score seats. The service was absolutely abysmal. It was fairly busy, and we were told our order would be ready in approximately 15 minutes. I didn’t start asking about the whereabouts of our food until we had waited 15 minutes, and I got a snappy response from one of the two cashiers. I watched the two inept cooks burn entire batches of bacon and throw them in the garbage, and break eggs over easy to also be tossed, over and over again before we received our disappointing order. My husband and I both ordered their three egg breakfast that came with your choice of breakfast meat, and pancakes or hash browns. I ordered my eggs scrambled, and there were mostly edible save the watered down parts. My husband ordered his eggs over easy, and they were basically raw with runny whites all over the place(yuck!). The pancakes were alright, as pancakes go. My husband said the hash browns were undercooked. The bacon was part burnt and part undercooked — I have no idea how they achieved this disgusting feat, and I certainly hope to never experience it again. Our son ordered a relatively plain hamburger, which was pretty okay, but fell far from the higher standards of any other Nation’s location. By the end of our meal, I was more than ready to complain to the manager. It was then that I saw one of the cooks turn around, and the tag on his shirt said«Manager». This, the same awful cook who couldn’t manage simple eggs, was the manager. I saved my breath and we walked out, never to return. Save yourself an awful experience and skip this Nation’s location at all costs.

I am not giving a 5 because the food. Let’s be honest it’s Nations, but the service is what makes this place have business! I am a student up the hill at Saint Mary’s and this is my go to place when I need food. I see a lot of people and can tell they are regulars by the way they chat with the cooks and attendants. I even hear them talk about how they don’t get there regular seat today because a non regular like myself has come Into eat and sat in their usual spot. It’s really cute, and I find the environment is what makes this place somewhere I go back to and recommend if your looking for something welcoming.

Another place that I’ve been coming to since I was a kid. Everything from the burgers to their pies are consistently delicious. The real reason to come here though is for breakfast. Yes, it is your typical sort of breakfast, but they get it right every time. My go-to is a two-egger breakfast with two eggs over-medium(always perfectly cooked), with hash-browns, sausage, and wheat or sourdough, depending on my mood. They give you a lot of food while keeping it reasonably priced. French toast or pancakes may be substituted for hash browns and toast, both of which are exactly what I want if I have a craving for either. I have never been unsatisfied with the breakfast here. The burgers here always hit the spot as well. Juicy and thick beef patty with generous helpings of veggies(get your onions grilled or raw) and dressing(which I love in the burger). The fries are thick with a nice crisp on the outside and a fluffy soft inside. Good smothered in chili(though I prefer without the sliced cheese) or with the«ice cream»(which is more along the lines of soft serve, but still good). I’m also partial to the java shake that’s made with the soft serve. The people here are always great, though getting your order may take a little bit of time especially when it is crowded. It also helps to phone in so you don’t have to wait in line to order!
