Steak ‘n Shake

Awful service today. 30 minutes and still no food. Coffee cold. Not many people eating here so cannot blame rush. Will not return to this location.

I don’t know how this place stays in business burgers dry nasty fries look like they refried them shake I think it’s made with water not milk it’s kind a like a slushy… a nasty dive at any rate

We received horrible service at this location a few months ago but they were busy, so we cut them some slack and decided to give it another try.
We went around 4:30pm on 12÷31÷15 to grab a quick bite. We were greeted and seated immediately by a friendly face. It went downhill from there. The restaurant only had two tables of customers besides us. One of the tables was just finishing up their meal. There were more employees in the restaurant than customers! One girl was bussing a table while a waitress sat at the table and chatted with her. Behind the half kitchen wall, there were about 5 or 6 employees just standing around talking to each other… Not busy doing anything. The cook and drive thru attendant were the only ones that were working. We sat at our table for about 6 to 7 minutes… long enough to read thru the whole menu and specials menu and wait for the waitress. We looked around wondering when we might get served or at least get some water. Out of curiosity, I clicked my phones stop watch. From across a few tables, Someone finally spoke to us. She said our waitress would be with us soon. But we waited and waited. When the stop watch hit 7 minutes 11 secs, we decided to leave. No one said anything to us as we left. Overall, we waited at our table for a total of 13 – 14 minutes and never got served. I can’t believe a total of 8 – 9 employees with only two tables… and we were being blatantly ignored.

It’s a burger joint. With delicious shakes. Forget the burgers and skinny fries– just get a shake. They’re good.

Waited 25 minutes in the drive through line after ordering and the teller was bored. Buzzkill. Food ruled.

I absolutely LOVE this Steak ‘n’ Shake! I have had great experiences every time I have visited and will continue to return whenever I am in the area. I found the employees to be extremely friendly and helpful. I love having the drive-​through option, too. The food, of course, is typical Steak ‘n’ Shake fair, but if you like that, then this is a great place to get it.

I guess I’m odd: I have a real problem with it when managers are nasty to their employees in front of customers. I understand that we were here late at night, and our waitress may have not been bringing her A game, but she was trying. In front of everyone in the area, the manager on duty made several jabs at the waitress, which I considered to be in poor taste. Maybe instead of riding a waitress who was trying her best, he could have been more concerned with the slow service from the kitchen.

This was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had! My friends and I waited 10 minutes to be sat and sat in the booth for 20 minutes and still never got waited on. We ended up walking out! There we other people complaining as well! Not only that the staff was extremely rude! I will never come back again!

Stopped by for my usual — double burger and fries. I like their burgers. They are consistent and I can get exactly what I want on them, including sport peppers! Their shakes are very good, too.
