I had my wedding reception there on April 7, 2012. We had locked in the date 8 months prior to the event. The place was in bad shape and the colors were terrible. Over the next 8 months they had made some improvements but not as many as we had been told were going to be made before our event. During that 8 month time trying to contact someone from the venue was extremely difficult. That would only continue and get worse the closer we got to the event. It took us almost 3 weeks to set up our tasting. After the tasting we were supposed to put down another 500 dollars for the food. I emailed and called over and over. When I finally got a date scheduled, it was rescheduled that day because of problems at the venue. During the final 6 weeks leading up to the reception, I had scheduled a couple of walk throughs at the venue for photographers, videographer, dj, etc. The first walk through they were late arriving to venue, making us wait over 30 minutes before someone arrived. Our final walk through was also the day our final deposit was due, at that time they were over 2 hrs late from the time they had set. The week of the event was again more of the same lack of communication. I would email many times before finally getting responses. I was told things would be done when I went in to set up on the Friday before my event. When I arrived to set up nothing had been done and the venue was dirty. I was very concerned but was told they were working all night to get things done before my event. So the day arrives and I was told someone would be at the venue all day long. I received a call from my florist at 3PM that no one was at the venue. Someone arrived sometime after that because I never got a call back. I was told the bar would be open to my guests from 4PM until the event ended at 11PM. I learned later that none of my guest could get drinks because they were told the bar would open once the wedding party arrived. That was not what I arranged. I also had friends bring some chips and salsa for all the guests. She brought 4 black trash bags full of chips and two large pickle jars of salsa. The venue only put out one bag of chips and one of the jars of salsa. When we ran out and wanted to fill it back up we were told they were out. I know for a fact that was a lie and there was no way we went through that many chips. I also asked my bakery to leave me cake boxes for leftover cake, but when we were packing up, they were not there. I found out later the bakery left 3 boxes but the venue told them they would hold on to them and give them to us later. I never received them. The servers we paid extra for barely spoke English, which made it very difficult for me and a majority of my guest to communicate with them. My wedding party had to serve the champagne because when we asked the servers to do it, we were told that it would take another 20 minutes to get them ready. We had tons of electrical problems with our DJs equipment. It kept shorting out because of the plugs in the venue. I do have some positives about the place. The price was very affordable but it was not worth all the headaches and hassle I went through. I was lied to and stolen from and there is nothing more then I hate than a liar and a cheat. So I would advise anyone looking at IE banquets to be cautious. I want your process of and the most important day in your life to be stress free and extremely happy. I felt IE banquets took that away from my wife and I.

WORSTPLACEEVER!!! The guy is a freakin joke… Guarantees everything but doesn’t come through. Kicked out of my party before time on contract. ROACHESEVERYWHERE!!! Electrical does not work, had to run cords everywhere to get some electricity! The guy over booked my party and I lost all my deposit! s with the DJ and band! Very rude to my guest! Asking people to leave for no apparent reason. Alcohol was late, alcohol came an hour after all my guest arrived. HORRIBLE!!! Started charging for things that was guaranteed on the contract. Would never recommend to friends or family! HORRIBLE!
