Time Warner Cable

The location has upgraded the look of the facility but the customer service is still lacking, TW has a history of offering you something then turning around and charging you for it, I just noticed the DVR they told me I could keep for free I’m now being charged for it, I cancelled the service over the phone the rep told me to drop the box off for the account credit. This seemed simple enough since I canceled the service over the phone. I walk into this nice newly renovated location I explained I only need to drop this office, I had to sign in wait over 30 minutes, I was not called and needed to return to work I was on my lunch hour. I asked one of the employees if I could make an appointment to drop it off after work he handed me a flyer and said I will have to call or go online.
I spent about 40 minutes on the phone with TW trying to figure out why my bill keeps going up, once we determined we could get some savings by turning in the second DVR box I wait over 30 minutes for what I thought would be a simple drop off, of course they do not have any appointments for today I have to wait until tomorrow to drop the equipment off.

Long story short, I subscribe to the 200mbps ultimate internet and have never received more than about 54mbps. Have tried hooking up directly to my modem and still the same result. My router is a brand new netgear night hawk wireless N router. Modem is a Motorola DOCSIS 3.0 high speed cable modem which I bought and am not leasing, niether of which have any issues (as stated before I’ve tested). Have called for support and even though I’ve told the reps and techs that I have speed issues they didn’t even bother checking to see if there are issues on their end. I have read multiple stories on TWC employees signing off on nodes that were oversold and are far above capacity. If this is the case the nodes need to be redone to handle all of the traffic. These stories only had happy endings when these findings were reported to the FCC. People have gotten their bills refunded for a year in some cases. I think I might have to do the same. I would switch but there is only one other competitor in the area and that’s AT&T but given the fact that dsl is not very stable it’s not a viable option for me. Very sad that I don’t have google fiber or even Fios for that matter.

Internet has improved somewhat since my last one star review of this company, yet it has been SLOW to catch up… similar to a 100 year old tortoise on the move.
They raised Mbps to 250 in 2015, and it currently goes to 300 Mbps. However, I’m not impressed. Those speeds are NOT consistent at all, and the internet still goes out every two or three days, sometimes for up to 30 minutes at a time, despite restarting computers and all that other neat stuff. NOTE: see my pics… was not surprised to see an actual DINOSAUR on one of the pages that went down.
Even when I’m NOT using my desktop, I already know when the WiFi is «breaking bad»… My soon-​to-​be 13 year old will storm out of his room looking upset because his game went down AGAIN.
Also, other things that require active WiFi (Son’s Smart TV, Xbox, and ROKU/​Netflix on our main TV in the living room) will not work consistently either. This is not just about the desktops anymore.
When we contacted customer service, they usually blamed the bad connection on our modem. My husband purchased a BRAND NEW top of the line modem at Best Buy, but apparently our modem is not good enough???
On another call, our computers were the ones to blame. BTW, our three desktops are somewhat new (we got them last July), so they do work quite well on their own. But even when they were brand new, they still brought up our computers as a possible concern. My point is that they don’t want to take any responsibility on their end, so our equipment gets the blame instead.
They sent a Latino to my home to check on our modem. He also checked all computers. Too bad he’s working for the wrong company cause this guy is a real sweetheart and deserves so much better. Me and my mom offered him water, coffee, and food, since he took his time and went out of his way to find a solution to the problem. I raised my rating to two stars because of this guy.
Anyway, it turned out it was NOT our modem causing the problem, same goes for all computers — those were working GREAT (ummm, that’s what I thought all along!).
Finally someone admitted over the phone that service was not exactly up to date for this PARTICULAR AREA of Moreno Valley because they are still «trying» to improve on it. He also stated that there are more people connecting to the internet in this area (there’s a high school one block away) which explains the slower speeds and the reason why the internet goes down often. One would think that service would be more up-​to-​date since we are closer to Riverside (about 2 miles away), so it’s not like we live in a remote area.
With that said, your WiFi signal will GREATLY depend on where you live in the city. Unfortunately, Time Warner is the main provider for Moreno Valley.
BTW, we are still waiting for FIOS, and will be switching right over as soon as it becomes available. We had FIOS where we used to live, and can’t wait for that to come along. They will definitely give Time Warner a RUN for their money, on skates!

Time warner service is the absolute worst! I had them in 2010, and today, 2016, I get a call from a collections agency saying I owe 51.73 from 2010. My account was closed and everything returned. To my knowledge nothing was due. So I tried calling TWC to get info on this. I have been on the phone for over two hours, have been transferred to 8 different t people, hung up on three times and have been told someone will call me back. I get a call back and the guy says, I am calling you back to help you set up services with TWC! Really!!!
TWC is a nitemare! Please stay away! They don’t care about the consumer just making a buck.

This company only thinks about profit & how they can gauge more money out of you. Complain to Better Business Bureau website if you encounter problems.

I was trying so hard NOT to write any review because I knew I would be wasting my time on this stupid company. But as of today I am fed up with their service and their harassing phone calls. I recently had a service (intelligent home) added to my account without my permission. As I attempted to solve this billing issue I have received a total of (9) automated calls from TWC telling me that they would try to reach me at another time because they want to know how my experience with their service and or service call was. NINE times in 4 days.
First I didn’t order the service and have spoke with billing to get it removed. When I call back the 888 number I get someone in another country using voice over IP and is has a bad connection.
Bottom line is try to fine anybody else you can to get TV or internet service before deciding on TWC, I know based on reviews that it seems there is NOT a single provided that has stellar reviews but I can promise you that the reviews for TWC (Moreno Valley) are true to form. I am happy to say.

Miserable buisness conduct, the people just lounge around the office doing what ever they want to ignoring long lines. They are rude and inconsiderate and no wonder I’m sure the company that has the worst internet in california probably pays their employees min wage. I hate going here, unfortunately you cant send back the modem when you cancel service.

i dont understand all these bad reviews. everything here is fixable without calling time warner. u can increase your picture quality under settings, i turned mine up to max. people complaining about internet problems are probably not even checking their internet speeds. im paying for 300mbps and im getting 326mbps… thats great service. most people dont understand technology and will complain instead of being a decent human being and just learning.
people complaining about the cable store… no other provider even puts local stores. atleast twc is trying, would u rather deal with direct or verizon which u can never see anyone face to face? not to mention their customer service is not ²⁴⁄₇. i dont understand why people are complaining… i really dont.

I have Time Warner Cable going on two months now, it is the WORST cable & internet service! The cable shuts off often and the Internet is slow! I am going to cancel my service and go with Direct TV! Goodbye Time Warner! You are a sorry company!

Had Time Warner cable for 7 months, getting it installed took a while but they compensated me $ 25 for not showing up twice. Service was great, connection was good, internet was fast too. Just a little pricey…

Long slow lines and terrible service. They have free little bottles of water today. So in reality I’d give them a zero. But since I got free water than it gets one star

I can’t say how their phone service is as I don’t have a landline. However, I do have Internet and cable. I’ve had no trouble with my Internet. It’s just as fast as I’ve had with other providers. The cable on the other hand… I’m paying more for less channels that I had with Comcast and charter. The first time they installed my box they had to replace the box. That right there should of been a sign. I’ve had the cable box replaced a few times which is ridiculous. The channels keep going out, both audio and visual. It seems like their customer service doesn’t really care. Also when I first called I’m pretty sure the number I was given through my apartment complex was the guys home number… that or else he brings his kids to work. I tried calling Verizon and charter and neither are available in my area. I’m hoping Google can get their stuff up and running quicker so I can drop this horrible cable.

So now you are begging the senate, congress anyone and anything to step in and bail you out of the ridiculous deal you made to acquire the Dodgers Television rights.

The truth is.. you rarely can ever access your DVR from any device. .in fact it’s almost never! They also advertise that you can watch you channels on the go… it’s nothing good, no baseball, or football and if you’re not on your home network you loose pretty much anything you would watvh. Plus, keep an eye on your bill. If you don’t constantly keep an eye on it, it will creep up & up & up. And customer service acts like your wasting their time when you call. If you have other options, I’d take them before twc!

Everytime I’m here there is always at lease a dozen people waiting in line and the horrible thing is that it inches towards to counter. This is the worst service provider I have ever dealt with and it’s sad that it’s the main provider for this area.
Avoid tmc at all costs.

Went in on a Saturday to return my boxes. There was a long line and Bernie one of the reps (assuming she was starting her shift) came in and started helping this lady not even 2 minutes after assisting the lady she steps away to take care of a personal call on her cell phone and left the lady waiting for almost 5 minutes. About 15 to 20 minutes later the reps daughter shows up. She closes her station and takes her daughter to a side computer so she can access the computer. So unprofessional. Mind you it was a LONG line and only 2 other ladies helping the customers. I felt that she had no consideration for anyone there. Very BAD customer service. TWC needs to improve in Customer Service.

I went online and ordered internet for $ 34.99 15mbs. When I came into the store to pick up my installation kit they told me that the order wasnt keyed in yet! Then they told me that they have a special promotion to offer me $ 39.99 for 50mbs or else I’d have to come back another day to pick up the kit. So I went ahead and took the offer not wanting to deal with the hour long wait in line which was ridiculous btw. So today, three weeks later I decided to test the speed on my internet and guess what I’m getting? 15MBS! I call customer service asking them why they are not giving me what we agreed on and their answer is that my area is not eligible for the 50mbs speed! And they couldn’t figure that out at the store? Then they tell me to go back to the store to resolve this?! Absolutely incompetent people and terrible service. I swear as soon as i find out Verizon is available in my area I’m dropping TW Cable in a heartbeat!

The line is always soooo long but most of the ladies there are nice and helpful. They offer water and cookies which is good for the long wait

Probably the worst to place to visit on Earth! Yes, worse than the DMV! It took me forever to find the actual location of the place; it is incorrect on Google Maps and Customer Service had no clue how to contact that office.
If you want to be treated like garbage, come here…
