Community Towing

Community Towing has been great with several towing jobs over the past 5 years. They arrive quickly. Are communicative through the process and exceptionally helpful.

When I ran out of gas and they came to my rescue again; they didn’t make me feel dumb.

I needed my car towed after it had overheated, so I went onto Unilocal and found Community Tow just down the road from me. The wait time was only 20 mins and Anthony (the driver) was very friendly and worked quickly.
What I liked: not only was the wait time short, but the price was also very reasonable, and it’s «flat rate» so you don’t have to worry about any up selling or miles. Also, Anthony was awesome. He even gave us a couple recommendations of how to save our money just in case we needed another tow.
Overall I had a great experience with them!

Had my brother’s 99 Blazer towed here after hours, dropped the key in the slot.
Called the shop around 9am, spoke to Tony. He said they were already working on it. He called back about 11:45AM, said the work was done (!), one of the front wheel bearings had grenaded and needed to be replaced. The price he charged was roughly half of what I expected to hear. This place is great, Tony is great, we’ll be back for sure!

My family has been going to Community Garage for over 20 years. Tony is always honest and upfront on everything. He’ll even tell you if something doesn’t need to be fixed and we completely trust him with all our cars. We never go anywhere else. That’s probably why they are always so busy. Lots of loyal customers.

Been using them for years, there is no better place. Every time i have needed a tow they have come through quickly, efficiently, and effectively. I have always recommended them and will continue to do so.

I absolutely love this garage. Tony takes great care of me and my cars. I drive a 2001 Honda Civic and a Honda Odyssey. They always do a great job. Their estimates have always been accurate. It’s super easy to drop off my car and get a ride home. I love Tony and highly recommend this garage!

Locked my keys in the car, over 2 hours from home. Called AAA & was told it may take 45 minutes. Oh well… it was my fault. Thankfully about 8 minutes later, a bright yellow van pulls up with a smiling driver who waved at me. Jimmie hops out, introduces himself and promptly opens my door. The whole procedure took a few minutes, tops. Thanks, Community Towing. And thanks, Jimmie.

The timing belt on our son’s 1999 Passat broke on 101 and ruined the engine. AAA towed it here and Tony was so helpful. While it was not the news we want to hear, he told us right away what the problem was and allowed us to store the car in a locked gated parking lot for three days at no cost. We were from out of town and so felt somewhat lost but Tony was so helpful and kind. We ended up donating the car to the community college where we live but if I lived in Morgan Hill, this is where I would take my car.

Got stranded by an exit… an officer stayed with me until the tow truck came and in front of the officer he told us to take my car from Morgan hill to san Jose would be no more than 175 bucks or just to get it out of the fwy would be 80 (less than a mile) … When he got the car out of the fwy he said it was 180 or 225 to take it home .I was so mad .the officer wasn’t there anymore to witness the change of charge… staright rip off. Took advantage of the situation

I had an excellent experience with Community Towing. I called in on a AAA call, and they sent out Marcos from Commnity. He was efficient and professional. I called at 7:38 pm, and by 8:22 my car was in my garage! He went above and beyond by actually getting the car into my garage, I was super impressed by that, and he was very fast. I couldn’t recommend more.

I came here for a smog check and highly recommend this place. Tony was super friendly and helpful. I mentioned one other issue and he assured me all was well and didn’t try to sell me anything. The service was fast and pricing was extremely reasonable. I will be coming back here again to service my car in the future!

My family has gone to Ponzini’s for decades. They have always done excellent work, they take the time to explain all the work that needs to be done, estimates are spot on, provide updates on additional work and transport home when needed, and always polite. Big kudos to Tony and Eric for jobs well done… and for trying to decipher my rendition of car and pickup noises over the years.

My car broke down in San Martin on my way to visit my daughter in Santa Barbara from the Bay Area (80+ miles from home) and was towed to Community Garage in Morgan Hill The owner, Tony and his crew, Tom, replaced the alternator for me within less than 2 hours. The work was done with care and the price was reasonable. They also fixed my coolant reservoir at no charge. This place is friendly, courteous, honest and professional. I drove to Santa Barbara and back to the Bay Area with no problem. Every thing seemed to be in good running order. Too bad this place is not close enough to my house or I will definitely take my car there for service all the time. Thanks!

I unfortunatley broke down on hwy 101 just outside of gilroy and had to use my aaa to get towed back to Millbrae. The towing contractor was community towing and i couldn’t be more pleased, although i can’t remember the drivers name he was very professional and extremely nice. He towed my car the 80+ miles back home and put it perfectly in my driveway. Thanks Community towing you made a bad situation good.

Awesome service. Dustin who helped change my flat was just wonderful. The next day, I had another flat so I had to have my car towed. Ralph from community towing was so friendly. Both handled everything with care and kindness. I recommend this towing company. I never had such a great experience with a towing company. Especially on back to back days! Keep up the great work you do.

I have taken my vehicles for major repairs, tune-​ups, smogging, diagnosis, etc., since 1994. Tony is honest, helpful and awesome. He shows genuine interest in his customer’s lives. I highly recommend them. I agree with another reviewer that Tony is a throw back to earlier days.

My whole family goes here. We all trust Tony with our cars and for good reason, Tony and his staff do a great job finding out what the issue is and fixing it at an afforable rate. We reccomend Tony’s shop to people all the time, but of course cuase there great they are always busy, either bring the car in the morning or expect to leave it over night, but Tony will make sure to have your car up and running :)

My wife brought her car to Community Garage after getting her car towed after Wheelworks in Gilroy messed it up. I’m not sure what they broke but after bringing it to them the car would stall while driving. Tony suggested bringing it to his shop to diagnose the issue. To Tony’s credit, he had the car for a couple of weeks trying to replicate the problem, but couldn’t. Tony is a nice guy and he probably does good work but my wife noticed that her ignition was broken when she went to pick up the car. Now we can’t say 100% positively that it was someone at Community Garage, but my wife is sure that the ignition was OK when she picked it up from Wheelworks before bringing it to Community. When my wife brought this up to Tony he suggested getting a locksmith to fix it. Which she did. But since we’re sure that the damage happened some time when Tony had the car I feel that Tony should pay to fix the ignition. Tony got upset and accused my wife of taking advantage of him. Had I been the one making the call, Tony would have gotten a much different response. I am not a forgiving or diplomatic as my wife is.
So the bottom line is I probably would have given Tony and his shop a better rating but I am pretty pissed about how he treated my wife with the ignition issue. We were not trying to take advantage of Tony, we just want the car returned to the condition it was in when Tony first received it. I think that is fair.

I can’t say enough about the great customer service and quality of work. Don’t hesitate to bring your vehicles here.
