Courtyard San Jose Morgan Hill

We stay here whenever we need to be in the South Bay Area. Best deal ever! I can usually get a room on the weekend for $ 59.
Rooms are clean, not huge but big enough for me and three daughters who really enjoy the indoor pool.

I travel on business for quite a bit of the year, and I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel this hospitable. The rooms were clean, and equipped with a fridge and plenty of towels. The bed was comfortable, and the atmosphere was quiet. It’s also in a fantastic location, being within walking distance of a Walmart, Target, Staples, FedEx Office, Starbucks, and numerous restaurants.
Truly the best part of this hotel, however, is its staff. We were treated with little goodies and notes welcoming us. The staff took the effort to learn most, if not all, of our names, and we were usually greeted by name. I cannot sufficiently emphasize how warm and gracious this staff is.
I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to everyone and hope to stay here again myself.

Currently on tour traveling between multiple cities and hotels and this was a key place for us. The staff was helpful and kind, left our company thoughtful treats for post-​show relaxation (themed around our show!) plus the wi-​fi is AMAZING!

I travel approximately 40 weeks a year on business, staying in hotels all over the country. Almost never before have I experienced such a warm and gracious welcome as our group did at this Courtyard by Marriott. From the hospitality table when we checked in, to notes and cookies and assorted goodies left in our rooms throughout our stay, the entire staff went above and beyond to not just make us comfortable but make us feel like we were truly welcome in their home. In addition, the staff really seem to take a personal interest in members of our group, often recognizing us by name. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the beds were terrific, the housekeeping staff was friendly and accommodating to our somewhat crazy schedules. I really cannot say enough about this fantastic property and staff. Thank you for everything!

The room is decent, has a fridge and sofa… wifi is pretty good, I love that the shampoos are Paul Michell… The lobby has really cozy lounge in it and it’s surrounded by places to eat and shop.
HOWEVER, the reason I’m not giving more stars is because the staff on more than one occasion have come into my room when I’m away despite me leaving a privacy tag on the door. This is unacceptable. The reason they did it was a nice gesture, as they were leaving thoughtful treats with kind messages to our company (broadway tour). It was nice when they congratulated us on opening night by leaving a beer on our dressers with a ribbon on it but raised eyebrows between a few of us and now they’ve done it a SECOND time this time leaving cookies and put milk in the fridge. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but I do not like that they are violating my wishes to have privacy. When we are on the road for weeks at a time, these rooms are our only home and some of us do not want anyone coming in the room, so that we have some sense of having a «home» that is ours and is private. That means no maid service, and even the friendly gestures of leaving us treats to be hospitable. Privacy means PRIVACY. It’s pretty simple.
Bottom line: My displeasure with this situation doesn’t mean this is a bad place to stay. It’s a lovely room, The staff are ALL lovely, if not a bit overzealous in a good way. If you’re just a traveler, one would hope that the staff respect your privacy if you leave a door tag. But… just to let you know, they didn’t respect mine. Twice.

When online booking, I requested: early check-​in, 2 beds, high floor and extra pillows… everything was waiting for me as requested. Our room, 327, had a pleasant, clean scent, very tasteful décor, and a nice ‘green’ view out the window. Over the course of our 3-​night stay, we also found that there was ample steaming hot water — am and pm, as well as plump pillows, soft sheets and a comfortable mattress.
The staff, each and every one we encountered, were sincerely friendly and hospitable. Soon it felt as though I was at my gym with the personability that developed during our stay. Even my twelve year old commented on the how «nice» the Ops Mgr, Sarah, was to him when he went to get forks and knives to bring to our room. «She said to tell your mom Hi!»
What would have been nice additions — in-​room dining (though ample eateries nearby), in-​room safe and ppv/​still-​in-​theater movies (my Fire stick worked well).
Definitely recommend the hotel and would stay here again.

Clean location and friendly staff.
This place is right near an In n Out, Starbucks, Target and a freeway. cannot go wrong. The downstairs folks are extremely nice and remember who goes in and out. There is always lemonade or some kind of refreshment in the afternoon which is a nice touch. The snack items are a plenty in case you are lazy and don’t want to go to the grocery store nearby. The rooms themselves were clean and it was easy to adjust room temperature. They checked in regarding room swaps and other items that our party needed. would stay here again.

What a awful place to stay! We’ve been Gold members with the Marriott hotels for years and we have never had such a awful experience as we did last weekend. We found that our sheets were dirty on one of the beds like they never change them just made the bed. The staffing was horrible they didn’t have enough people for the amour of people who were staying there. Went swimming both days we were there and they never had towels stocked after swimming. So frustrating. We had to call them at 3:30 and tell them both our rooms weren’t cleaned or restocked with toiletries. The worst was the restaurant which was way understaffed and had one person doing it all. They had to have the front desk people come and help make food which also way awful. We had to wait both mornings 45 minutes for breakfast. So if I were you I’d stay at the other Marriott located Nextdoor which I think would be much nicer then the Courtyard.

Bad service, no staff on grounds, no room service, no restaurant and chef only for breakfast. rip off for the location, they charged me 35 dollars more a day from the receipt i had. Towels are not that clean it smells. I stayed for two nights, they did not clean up the beds, just refilled towels and coffee condiments, no extra soaps the next day. I wouldnt go back. One good thing the beds are comfy. Its basically an upgrade motel but you have to go outside for your dining perks.

I have had brutal experiences with Courtyard Marriotts over the last few years. My experience with this location, however, was extremely smooth. I called at 12:00pm to see if i could check-​in early since I was coming into town for a wedding, and they said they had nothing available. I grabbed some lunch, came in an hour later, and a room had opened up!
The front desk lady was extremely positive and nice. I parked, checked in, got into my room in less than 8 minutes.
This location is fairly close to wineries, and super close to target and several restaurants. In and Out is in the same commercial park which is lethal.
I guess the one drawback would be that it has an inside pool which kind of sucks. And the water was as green as the water in Chicago during St. Patty’s day which was weird.
Otherwise, great place to stay if you’re visiting Morgan Hill.

I always enjoy my stay here. The location is really clean, upgraded and the staff is always really friendly. I have stayed here previously for business and in other locations in Washington and Virginia. I love the modern layout and upgrades, which is similar in each location. I feel like Marriott always hires great staff and they uphold high service standards. I’d recommend any Courtyard Marriott.

Great Priceline rate for a Sunday night: $ 75.00 instead of the Sunday rate of $ 179. Knowing the weekly rates are higher, (regular rates of $ 259 per night,) I tried booking another night at $ 100 on Priceline. It would not accept it.
Nice hotel, friendly desk clerks, clean rooms, fairly spacious, good wifi, near shopping and restaurants. Quiet on a Sunday night. Worth $ 259? No, not really.

We chose this hotel to enjoy their indoor, heated pool with my 5 and 6 year old — and that we did! The check-​in staff are friendly, warm and super-​helpful, they even got us a room literally right next to the pool since I mentioned our purpose for staying there. The room was SUPER-​CLEAN — super important since i have a 10-​month old crawler/​cruiser who gets into everything. The pool was just the right size and depth for us, the water was warm, and the facility was very clean. Most important, the kids HAD A BLAST swimming when we checked in, swimming after dinner, and swimming some more in the morning! Haha! Thank you, Courtyard Marriott for a memorable and special mother’s day weekend for me and my kiddos.

Great hotel. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. Having the restaurant in the lobby is great. The food is good and the breakfast is awesome. Very clean and accommodating hotel. Also in the same parking lot there are other food options and a gas station. So you get a lot when you stay here. Highly recommended this place.

Omg!!! This place is amazing! I went on Priceline and booked a room and this is what it gave me.
1. When I walked in to checkin I was greeted by two great ladies Stephanie and Sarah! There was some computer problems but they got me right in. I guess on res I made it have me a king but Stephanie made it happen and give me a 2 queens room.
2. Room was gorgeous and spacey and they put us on 3^rd floor away from other people because I had a infant with me. We also needed a micro and fridge and Stephanie made it happen.
I will def be returning thanks ladies!!!

Marriott would be embarrassed to know this hotel represents them… I booked a King room (which is supposed to come standard with a refrigerator). I get into my room and there isn’t one. The front desk woman brings one up with a microwave and just leaves it so I have to roll it myself. It was very obvious that they didn’t clean them after other guests used them because the smell was awful.
The bathroom was also disgusting. There was hair (not mine because I had just walked into the room) all over the floor in the bathroom. There were also what looked like bodily fluids on the side of the tub and the walls. Some spots looked like blood… others looked like other things. It made me wonder if they even cleaned the toilet before I got there. There was also one end cap missing from the sink light.
The workout area never looks like it gets cleaned (I can tell by the smell). They constantly ran out of towels and disinfecting wipes. The room also had very thin walls. Around night #2, someone checked in to the room next to mine who had a really bad snoring problem. It kept me up later than I wanted. I would’ve left the TV on, but they don’t have a snooze button on their cheap remotes.
One day I came back to the hotel around 8pm after work, and my room had not been cleaned! I immediately called the front desk and they tried to accuse me of having the «Privacy Please» sign hanging on my door. I usually don’t get back to the hotel until around 8pm and I leave by 7:45am. I don’t bother ever putting those on my door because I am gone before the maids even get there. I requested towels be brought up since they hadn’t been replaced and it took them at least 30 minutes to get them to me. At that point I was beyond disappointed. I asked for the General Manager’s contact information. I complained and have yet to hear back.
I am sad to say that I am now staying at the Hampton Inn since it got better reviews and it’s closer to my client. Being a Marriott Gold Rewards Member, I am kind of bummed to have to switch to Hilton, but when a Courtyard feels like a Motel 6, I don’t really have a choice.

Staying here while taking a class for work. Room was clean and stocked but the service is terrible. I’ve had two interactions with the receptionist, Lecee (I may be spelling that wrong) and, both have been super rude. On both occasions she had made inappropriate comments concerning what I was doing.
While checking in she said that I and my co-​worker travel companion «didn’t look like their normal clean cut business types that come through», not that bad but an opinion that didn’t need to be shared.
The second interaction I had was when asking to use the laundry facility she told me what I was trying to wash was, «a waste of money to wash.» This was bad, it’s not something that should have been said and it was offensive. She doesn’t know that the little pile of clothes I was trying to wash was $ 200 worth of cycling kit and needed to be washed before being packed away. She judged a book by its cover and that was bad. This hotel is a decent place with a decent reputation but with service like that I will not be stating here again. Keep your opinions to your self and just take my money.

Pretty mic place. Clean rooms and helpful staff. The beds are comfortable also. Our room has a refrigerator, not sure if that is common in all rooms but it is good to have.
I would recommend this hotel.

I’ll try to keep it simple:
–Unfriendly attendant at check-​in; not helpful at all, tried to charge me full price for a room, though I had booked with a discount. Tried to put me in a room with two queen beds, though I had reserved one king. I had to fight her tooth and nail for every little detail.
–Crappy handicapped-​access room I was put in had the worst shower EVER.
–Insanely overpriced restaurant charges $ 8.00 for an egg-​bacon-​cheese breakfast sandwich. It takes them TWENTY MINUTES to make it. REALLY?!
–I was given a special rate of $ 130 /​night vs. their typical $ 189 /​night rate. The Holiday Inn Express around the corner was over $ 50 /​night cheaper.
Nothing about this hotel makes it worth the insane amount of money they charge for rooms. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else in Morgan Hill.

Courtyard Morgan Hill, I liked you.
I liked that when I needed gas and it was late at night there was a gas station in your same plaza.
I liked that when I needed an iced americano in the morning, a coffee shop was steps away.
I liked that if I was hungry, In-​N-​Out AND Chipotle were just a hop skip and a jump.
I liked that check-​in was a breeze even at wee hours of the morning.
I liked that there were plenty of towels in the room.
I liked so many things about you, I will let it slide that there were no outlets in the base of the lamps by the bed. It’s ok, bc who uses a clock radio these days anyway (unplugs).
