H&R Block

Worse H&R block office I have ever seen. I had to go twice cause they messed up my state return. These people are incompetent and have no tax knowledge. I was even asked to help filling out their online tax forms…
My advise is stay away or be prepared to waste hours with them and come back multiple times.

I went in for the free tax return evaluation. This was actually a very pleasant surprise/​service that H&R Block provides. My advice is to have this done way ahead of tax time otherwise they are really too busy. The only reason that I would not personally go here is that I was quoted $ 500 if I had taken my taxes in and had them file for me. There goes my tax refund.

I had this office do my small business taxes in 2010. They filed the state return under the wrong SID number. I recently received a notice from the State that I needed to send them a tax return from 2010. I went to this H&R Block office to get a corrected tax return. They told me they could not print me a corrected tax return because they no longer had the software to open my tax return on their computer system. They promised several times to download the software from their corporate office but they never have. I went to the office personally several times to get a corrected return but they have never downloaded the software or given me a corrected return. They have never called me with a promised update. I have always had to call them. I still do not have a corrected tax return. I would not use this office again.

Just took my 90 year old mother to get a very simple tax return done after a recent move to Morgan Hill. It took way to long, the tax preparer did not give the confidence of being knowledgeable, just the opposite. When it came time for bill it was $ 288, more than a CPA would have charged. When questioned that about the charges being high, the only response was «Gee, I thought so too». This poor service, excessive rates, and lack response make me feel ripped off and is a great way to drive customer like us away.
