Hampton Inn Morgan Hill

Very comfortable place to stay while visiting Morgan Hill. Super convenient to get to the downtown area under $ 10 über ride or 1 ½ mile walk. This hotel has a great breakfast.

SO CLEAN and comfortable! Had everything I needed and the bed was amazing! I didn’t want to leave and neither did my 3 year old. I don’t have anything to critique. Perfect stay.

Horrible horrible horrible! Very unfriendly front desk, rude and insensitive to my 5 year old son! Would never recommend to go here with kids!

Stayed here while traveling on the spur of the moment. Booked through AAA as there price was cheaper than all online sites. Hotel staff was very courteous and efficient. Rooms are new with great wifi and many places to charge numerous devices. Beds are comfortable and the room had a nice gas fireplace. Breakfast was usual hotel breakfast, still good. Lots of choices for oatmeal and waffle toppings and the coffee was great. Great value and easy access to 101. We will stay here again as we travel through the area frequently.

Not very customer friendly as check out is 12:00 pm but the previous day check-​in is at 3:00 pm.
Also did not let my son into the fitness room once we checked out. Would pass on this hotel.

Excellent. One öf the cleanest hotels I ever stayed. Even the duet covers are fresh. Front desk very professional. Very good breakfast. Very sweet lady helping with breakfast made it even better. Worth every penny.

Absolutely amazing. I had to stay in town for my grandpas funeral and was looking at cheaper options. Something about this one stood out even though it was more expensive. I am so glad I didn’t skip this one, it was well worth the money.
The front desk people (both night and day shifts) were amazingly nice. Breakfast was delicious. And the room was super comfortable. Very very pleased I chose this hotel over its cheaper neighbors.

It’s a nice hotel with large rooms. The problem on the weekend is that there’s a pool down the street that hosts large swimming meets. I spent the weekend listing to kids run up and down the hall and stomping in the room above me. The hotel staff is friendly and apologetic but can’t do much about the rowdy kids. That would be up to the parents that turn a blind eye. I’m sure this is a very nice hotel but they should warn weekenders.
I should have known there was something wrong when the staff had me sign a no party agreement.

I cannot remember the name of the very accommodating woman at the front desk. I, being a bonehead, booked a flight from HNL that arrived at SJC at 9am. My shuttle driver dropped me off at The Hampton Inn Morgan Hill at 9:30. What didn’t realize, again because I’m a bonehead, is that check-​in isn’t until 3pm. The woman at the front desk told me she’d get me into a room a soon as one was ready. She offered to hold my luggage, and said I could help myself to breakfast and coffee. Awesome! I got a little restless so I let her hold my luggage, and went for a walk to some nearby stores, mainly to pick up a few essential I forgot to bring (due to me being a bonehead). I got back around 1pm and the woman at the front desk was excited to announce that she had a room ready for me! After 7 hours of flying and another 3 hours of walking around Morgan Hill, I was elated to put my feet up and pass out in a big comfy bed a couple of hours early.
On the day of my flight home, I made it halfway to the airport before I realized my wallet was still on the nighstand! What a bonehead! My shuttle driver came screeching into the driveway, I jumped out of the car before it had a chance to settle, and frantically explained to the same woman at the front desk, that I had left my wallet on the nightstand. She smiled and said «no problem.» She just made me another room key so I could go in and retrieve the wallet myself. No need to look up my previous reservation or ask for ID I couldn’t produce. She just remembered my face, asked me what room number I was in, and made it happen.

Stayed 4 days and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. The room itself was very very clean. They also have a nice complimentary small breakfast that changes daily. Coffee ²⁴⁄₇. Clean pool. Cookies at front desk Mon through Thurs. No cookies Fri through Sun. Asked why and they said the kids take handfuls and they don’t like to put them out on weekends.
Being from the east coast, I was looking forward to opening the sliding glass door and enjoying the California warm fall weather. However, the sounds of the roaring highway close by was a bit loud.
I would def use this facility again.

This is a bit of a mixed review and specifically relates to picking the Hampton Inn as your wedding block hotel. The short of it, dealing with Liz the «Sales & Catering Coordinator» was a terrible experience and added undue effort and stress that goes into planning a wedding. Once we were there, the front-​desk staff was great and made our stay and our guest’s very hospitable. That said, I cannot recommend this hotel as a destination for anyone reserving a wedding block.
It started with our wedding block price. We had settled on a price and the contract signed, but my friends and family noticed a few months later that the price on their website was much cheaper. I emailed Liz to ask if we could have our price adjusted or if my guests should just book online. She responded a few days later and said that the price she was seeing is online is much higher. Yep, instead of adjusting our price or making it more economical for our guests, the price was raised by over $ 100/​night. My fault for having trust in their Sales Coordinator, we should have all just booked online. Second, I have email proof where Liz states she has booked us the Presidential Suite for the weekend. So, while down in Morgan Hill before the wedding, we decide to check it out. The front desk person lets us go upstairs and shows us the room. Great, we thought! Nope, we email Liz on Monday to ask if we can book the adjoining King suite for the weekend. Turns out she didn’t book us the presidential suite (she lied) and that it was now booked by another party. So, I canceled everything she had booked on our behalf and booked everything on my own because I didn’t trust her. Lastly, I check-​in on the Hilton Honors app the day before our arrival, pick my room, and check-​in time. Normally, you go to the front desk, grab your pre-​made keys and you’re on your way. Nope, Liz was there, so of course something had to go wrong. We arrived at 3:20pm which is 20 mins after hotel check-​in time and 20 mins after I said I would be there. The front desk worker said that my room wasn’t ready. Instead of greeting me, Liz bailed to the back room. I immediately called Hilton Honors and five minutes later my room was magically ready. The front desk worker admitted he had no idea why Liz had a hold on it.
After all this, it was smooth sailing because we never had to deal with Liz again. I have top tier status at numerous hotel chains, so I spend a lot of time in hotels and know how true hospitality is delivered. Kolby, Brittany, Lauren, and more were all wonderful. Whether or not this was a direct result of Hilton Honors calling the hotel, I’m not sure. If I were management, I’d promote one of them to Sales & Catering Coordinator, because customer service and hospitality is not the current position holder’s strong suit. I highly advise you choose a different hotel when booking your wedding block.

Let me start this off by saying we are new parents traveling with a 2 month old baby and our 12 year old pug. My husband checked us in as I waited in the car with a fussy baby. As we walked into the lobby the employee politely said «Sir I’m sorry no pets are allowed in the hotel» When traveling with our pet we ONLY look for Pet Friendly hotels. So we go to Priceline filter hotels that specifically say on the website that Pet Are Allowed *see screen shot* The employee tries several times to reach the manager by phone as we are waiting in the lobby with a now crying baby, dog, and luggage. Seeing our frustration he maked the decision to just allow us up to our room since he was unable to reach a manager. We thanked him and came up to our room. We received a call 20 minutes later saying that he made a mistake that under NO circumstances are pets allowed, they won’t MAKE US LEAVE because it was his mistake BUT his Manager said «If our pet makes any noise or damages the room in any way that we will be charge a $ 250 fee» the manager also stated that the dog shall not be in an common areas of the hotel. It is appalling that the manager would be so disrespectful of a paying guest who selected the hotel based what was listed in the Priceline advertising and search criteria. You the manager would have turned us away at 8:00 p.m. at night with a crying newborn to search for another hotel after we had already paid??? Nice! The employee tonight should be rewarded for his exceptional customer service. Expect an unpleasant call from me Mr. Meredith. I will also be placing a call to corporate, and Priceline. I suggest you correct this issue with Priceline immediately! *UPDATE* another very polite employee this morning apologize for what happened last night and went on to explain that they advertise as Pet Friendly because they ALLOW service animals… news flash ALL hotels have to be in compliance with the ADA *Americans with Disabilities Act* and ALL hotels MUST allow service animals regardless. It’s the LAW! So again you are NOT Pet Friendly. Services animals are not pets! What a horrible stay. We spent the morning taking photos of our room in the event the threatening manager tries to accuse us of pet damage. Unbelievable!!!

We reserved in the morning and we arrived at around 10pm, after a 13 hour day of driving, to check in. The clerk told us the room wasn’t ready due to some miscommunication and that they were in the middle of cleaning it and it should be ready in about 10 minutes. He offered me complimentary coffee while I wait. I wanted sleep, not coffee, but OK. I was courteous and said I would wait. When we got our room a few minutes later there was pee on toilet seat, cups of drinks in our fridge, and container of flour (or something) behind our TV.
Called the front desk and they sent someone for the trash and to clean the toilet.
People talking in the halls at midnight, dog barking next room over after midnight, hot water took nearly 15 minutes to get hot in the morning.
The bedding and towels seemed to be fresh.

Loved it… the bed was great, room was clean, and the area around the hotel is nice and quiet. My wife and I used the gym and it was very nice and clean. The customer service was quick and attentive. The continental breakfast was good too. Thx for the great stay.

The hotel is generally clean and acceptably stylish. However, the amenities in the rooms lack quality. The office chair and one side chair are not comfortable. The ironing board is cheap and would be easy to tip over. However, our stay was generally enjoyable.

This is a nice Hampton inn about 50 minutes away from Monterey and Carmel. Check in was a nice fast process. The rooms are very nice, bigger than most Hampton Inn Rooms. There is a free breakfast from 6 – 10. I enjoyed staying here, and I would do it again.

Good place to stay if your going to use the sports complex. It’s also not very far from downtown Morgan Hill. Just across the freeway. 1 king bed room, was large enough for us both to do anything we wanted. Shower and bathroom we’re fine too. WiFi is semi strong if your on the Internet. It’s complimentary just have to log in. For it being a soccer tournament weekend the breakfast stuff went very fast. They could of stalked up better and been a little more aware after the third day.

The long and short of it is that I checked in for 4 nights. One of those night I left to go stay with a friend in San Francisco. I returned and they had given my room away. I checked in, left my CC and was paying for the room the night I was out. No call, email or anything to see if, or when, I was returning. I returned, put my key in the door and it did not work. I heard a guy coughing in my room so I went to the desk to see what was going on. The topper was the hotel was now booked full and I was homeless. I spent the next three hours trying to find a place to sleep other than my rental car. I went back and forth with the manager via email and no refund was ever provided. Thanks Hampton.

For the area, this is a good 4-​star place to stay. Clean, comfortable, and modern rooms, nice bathroom, good breakfast, reasonable price on a Friday night when I stayed here. Nice and quiet as well though the hotel didn’t seem very full the evening I stayed. Reasonably good breakfast the next morning, included in the price.
I recommend this over staying in Gilroy or other nearby towns. This is just a ton cleaner and nicer than many other places in the area.

Last month our twins and their soccer team competed in the 2014 Copa Univision 5v5 Tournament that was held in Morgan Hill. We weren’t sure when we would get the games schedule and wanted to be safe so we decided to make reservations at Hampton Inn.
The Hampton Inn is conveniently located right off the freeway, close to many restaurants and gas stations. The Hampton Inn itself is NICE. The hotel rooms are spacious, CLEAN and décor was modern. I was really impressed with the bathroom set up. There’s a pool, jacuzzi and the seating area has tables and comfortable lounge chairs. They also have onsite laundry and fitness room which came in handy with me having to wash the uniforms for the soccer team.
The best part of the Hampton Inn is the great service we received from the front desk, managers and house keeping. The front desk had everything from drinks, snacks and laundry items for sale if needed. Oh and the complimentary breakfast that’s served from 8−10am daily wasn’t bad either.
