Morgan Hill Soccer Complex

Come for the soccer, but stay for the taco truck!!! This place is huge — they can have about 15 games going simultaneously. My only complaints are that the bathrooms are not big enough to sustain the number of people they bring in during the big tournaments. And the parking situation can get cumbersome. However, the fields are nice and they manage the game flow very well.

My son’s soccer team played here at the District 2 Spring Cup, and they’re unfortunately going back for the Fall Cup this weekend. I am not looking forward to it. One simple reason: the complex itself is really nice. Lots of well kept soccer fields. But with a tournament as big as these are, they have maybe ¹⁄₁₀ the amount of parking that they should. Parking is a nightmare here. And I discovered something else last time. If you should be so lucky to actually get in the lot when you play, good luck getting out anytime soon when you have to leave. They funnel all the outgoing cars to one exit, which is just plain stupid. It took us 25 min to get out of the complex the last time we were here. I really dislike this place. I am going to suggest to our team and our league, that we forgo tournaments here until they get the parking situation figured out. Duh, let’s build a soccer complex, that when all the field are occupied, we only have about ¹⁄₁₀ the amount of parking we need. What a genius idea!

Our twins soccer team participated in the 2014 Copa Univision 5v5 Tournament last month and the games were played at the Morgan Hill Soccer Complex.
The complex is bigger than what I’m use to. The field was green. There’s a snack bar and restroom. We paid $ 5 for parking which isn’t bad in my opinion since you’re allowed to go in & out as long as you show the parking pass for the day. It kind suck that you couldn’t bring your sports umbrella or canopies because Morgan Hill in the summer is hot.

Half turf, half grass field. Big tournament days they charge $ 5 for parking. If you have a soccer game on the grass fields, they don’t allow big sport umbrellas or canopies. Bring a hand held umbrella or a chair with a shade.

This is a nice soccer complex. The grounds have stayed good over the years.
If you do have a chance to visit I would suggest it. I would also suggest to bring an umbrella or some sort of shade and chairs.
On big tournament weekends they do have a snack shack, a taco truck, and a snow cone/​slushy stand.

My son enjoys beingbon the field now. especially with soo much space to have games and other sporting events

Long time soccer competitive parent that travels to many locations that include Cal Cup Sacramento, Redding, So Cal, Manteca, Vegas, and other destinations. We advise everyone to be prepared for inconveniences for fields that were built for soccer enjoyment and not for destination parking vehicles.
So do your best to google a location/​facility and then prepare in advance to cope and adapt in a new environment

I WILL DEFINITELY come early next time! :(My nieces play in the Newark soccer league and they had three games scheduled for 5÷19÷13. My sister said they were leaving at 6 am and there was no way in hell I would be up that early AFTER a Sharks game. lol So I decided to head out around 9 a. m and got to the complex by around 10 a. m and that place was SUPER packed! There was absolutely NO parking anywhere near!!! Obviously this was my first time here but had my sister mentioned that another 30+ teams were going to be playing there too, maybe I would have gotten up early after all! Because let me tell you that with a bad hangover, hungry, sleepy and then to have to drive around and around to find parking lot for a lifted extended crewcab tundra is not fun!!! BUT yes, even after parking a mile away I had a great time! They had BBQ on the grill and diet coke for sale and that’s all I needed for my hangover!!! lol They had plenty of port-​a-​potties and washup units. Their grass was well taken care of and plenty of attendants going around emptying out garbage cans and making sure all was well! Looking forward to the next round! ;)

Just got back from a soccer playdate at this place — what a terrible experience! I’ve been to many, many soccer tournaments around Bay Area (Woodland, Manteca, Davis…) but this one is by far the worst. And it has proudly held that last place for years, but this year they actually dropped even lower! They are the only complex I’ve been to that charges for parking, but — don’t expect much — you’ll be placed in a muddy, dirty field that you can just hope for to get out of when the time comes. Wonder if they ever thought of paving it — no, would rather keep the money for themselves! Just like paving the walkway from main entrance is a waste of their money, so when the wind blows (and it happens here often) you get to breathe in all that dust… and what doesn’t get into your lungs will sure to end up in your eyes! To make things worse, this year you only had ONE entrance and exit out of that place. Walking around the complex for 30 – 40 minutes to get to your field is not only retarded and inconvenient but whole set up is extremely dangerous as well! If someone needs help and needs to get out of there quickly — too bad, can’t do! If there’s a fire around «one and only» exit — too bad, you’re stuck! Very, very unsafe! To top it off — don’t even bather complaining about anything to the people in charge — they clearly said — they don’t care! Hope to get to see the place with the new management… In the meantime — I’m not coming back here!!!

The fields are really nice you have o pay 5 dollars for parking and if you want you can park a little further for free, don’t be a retard and wear your cleats on your walk over here tho! Who does that anyways walks with your soccer cleats on the pavement those are used for grass only, anyways back to commenting on the Morgan hill complex it is nice and the people that work there are helpful and also bring in different organization for food and smoothies and other things.
A little far but worth it to come play over here and the referees are top class, expect a fair game!

Dear Morgan Hill soccer complex,
You certainly provide a huge complex with many fields. But just one teeny weeny logistical item: when you provide a facility that holds several hundred families, you might want to provide parking for more that about 50 of them. Really, you should look into it. (Just think, you could charge $$ for it too).
During my daughter’s last soccer tournament, I was forced to park half a mile away, on a side road, in the mud, next to a strawberry farm. I don’t mind walking that distance, but my daughter does mind… when she’s wearing her cleats.
I can only take heart in the fact that you didn’t get one dime from me.

The fences gating the fields can be quite dangerous. I saw a soccer player hurt himself getting past them! Definitely be cautious around the fences!!! Other than that, this soccer complex is still my favorite!

Nice soccer complex but too far away. Some *silly* rule that the U17 and U18 boys and girls have to play all their soccer games in Morgan Hil (because that way, the fields and refs can be standard and consistent), so you have dozens of kids (and parents) driving to Morgan Hill from San Francisco to San Jose so they can play their games there instead of their local home fields. So much for global warming, saving fuel and high gas prices!
Good soccer fields though, and the complex has been fixed up, which includes a new turf field with stadium seating and lights for little kids’ football. They could fix up the dusty dirt parking lot but if they did, they would charge for parking (like they do for the paved parking area).
When the wind blows however, and it does get gusty since you’re in the middle of former farmland, you can smell fertilizer (to put it mildly) or even the cooking smells from Carl’s Jr!
2 hours of driving (roundtrip) for a 90 minute soccer game is a bit much!
