Kelly Ramirez, Executive Director

Kelly holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in liberal studies, an elementary education teaching credential and a Slingerland Instruction Certificate from San Jose State University.

Kelly began her work in the non-​profit field volunteering as the first chairperson for the American Cancer Society’s Gilroy Relay for Life in 1999. In 2002, Kelly was recruited by the American Cancer Society as an event manager. During that time she started another event in the Morgan Hill community that won a «Baby Relay» Award in California for raising over $ 200,000 its first year. In addition to the American Cancer Society, Kelly’s non-​profit experience includes: working for TransAccess, Silicon Valley Leadership Group and most recently as the Chief Development Officer for the YWCA Silicon Valley. Kelly is a graduate of the Community Leadership San Jose Class of 2009. She is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Silicon Valley Chapter.
