A gas station with no public restroom for paying customers, windshield wash station out of paper towels and a dab of muddy water, meanwhile two employees I guess sitting on duffs wearing shorts and flip flops doing nothing. Gotta love that great American customer service. Geez I guess I’m too old. Remember when I had run out and greet the customer, check under the hood, wash all the windows, check the tires all with a smile and a thank you

I just bought a newer car in December so I’ve only had my car for 8 months. I started hearing a really bad noise and my car wasn’t doing so good. Mind you, I have THE WORST luck with cars. I’ve had 3 cars in ONE year. A close friend of mine who has been a mechanic for over 20 years, told me that I may need to buy a WHOLE NEW ENGINE. My dad suggested I take it here. I gave one more chance before I was thinking about just buying a new car. So I take it to them, was only there for 5 minutes, The guy drops what he’s doing just to hear it, and talk to me. He said worst case scenario would be I need a new engine but assured me to take it in and leave it with him. So I did, the next day he told me exactly what was wrong and did a thorough inspection. And to top off this great review IT WASNT THAT EXPENSIVE*! I have in the past gone to other places and charge me up the a** for small stuff! I was so happy when I turned on my car and it was like brand new again. I highly suggest you start here for anything! I know they are my now Go-​To shop!

The price for my repairs was lower than the other shops, but, after the repairs the noises in my engine never went away.
They do offer a smog check cheaper and better than the shop down the street, the only problem is their machine is always broken.
I will stay with the dealer when it comes to repairs.

Fast, honest and reliable! Car computer indicated a big problem, they researched it and realized it was bad plastic on a few hoses not the 1400.00 part we thought! I’m spreading the word, they know what they are doing and they run a great business!

Honest guys. didn’t try to screw me over and did what they said they were going to do. Not to mention quick.

I’ve been going to these guys for about 2 years to service our Saturn and our Honda. They are always super fast and charge very reasonable prices. They seem to do a good job on the repairs/​maintenance, and they have never tried to oversell me. What more could I ask for?

I have a 2004 Honda pilot & a 2011 Mercedes. I live in milpitas but I’m willing to drive here for the honesty and great service. You always hear about shady mechanics, breaking s**t to force you to fix it. I had this one mechanic in sj tell me I needed a major tune up, but when I took it here, the guys looked at the car and said it wasn’t needed at my mileage. Another 25k miles he said.
Smog is $ 40 bucks out the door with certification
Tint for ALL the Windows was $ 160 out the door
Fix my oil pan for free, just cause he notice that the last guy that did it threaded the screw and it was leaking.
Best thing about this place, you don’t have a bunch of creepy dudes staring at you. They are just busy working. Lol!

Truman Auto Care is great. I recently got a flat tire, and went to wheel works in San Jose. They told me my tire couldn’t be saved and needed to replace all four. I went to Truman Auto Care, where I get my oil v changed regularly, and they plugged it, no charge.

Awesome! They have great service. They fully explain everything before the service. They are truly there to help. No over charging or gouging! Just wonderful service time and again!

Lowest prices on gas in the area, and truly excellent auto repair shop! I recently took my car in there for service, 2003 Mercedes S500, had the oil and filter changed in under 10 minutes. The manager there, I think his name was Long, seemed like a really friendly guy. Great customer service, he chatted with me like he seemed to know me since high school or something. He also noticed that my shocks were not working. Long story short, I had my entire suspension replaced (~$ 2K) at less than half the price it would cost at the dealership (~$ 5k)!. Mechanics were very knowledgeable and replaced it in about a day. I will definitely be using this auto shop for all of my auto repairs!

Definitely will go back. Good value and timely. The only reason it isn’t 5 stars is that we dropped off on a Saturday evening and they said they would call on Sunday morning after an evaluation of our brakes, but no call and did the work anyway. It was good the work got done (and by the late afternoon), but would have like to have discussed it first.
They also gave me some very good free advise on an older car I have — greatly appreciated.

The place to go for auto repair in Morgan Hill. They have serviced my cars many times — and it is always top notch service at a great price. They just replaced a battery, fuel pump and fuel filter and this old Mercedes with 300k miles runs like new.
Everyone in town I speak with recommends them.

So far, so good!
Had a need for an immediate smog, got it done in the morning after I called them AFTER HOURS. Yeah, they answered the phone after hours and said no problem, just come by in the morning. It was knocked out exactly when he said it would be done.
Then…
I needed an oil change and he said no problem, bring it by. Brought it by in the morning and got it back in under an hour. Walked home and got breakfast and watched some TV and then walked over and he was calling me as I got there.
Nice guys, small shop, and I plan on using them in the future.

I’ve been to these guys several times over the past year and I’m always impressed. They’re always, always friendly, always willing to stop what they’re doing and give you an estimate or give you advice. In almost every case, I’ve been given money-​saving options and for any of us on a budget that’s much appreciated. Perfect example: EGR light was on in old Honda we’ve got. Dealer wanted $ 800 to fix the problem. Truman wanted half of that. I researched the heck out of it on the internet and it turned out to be a simple fix (lots of labor, yes, but not $ 800 worth) and I was grateful that Truman was asking a fair price. I’ve had them do brakes, oil changes, CV boot changes, all in the same car. They do a nice job with very good prices. They are definitely trying to build a real, long-​term business.

Very poor service! Have been taking my cars there for awhile and almost everytime I have to take it back for them to do something to adjust or fix something else that suddenly went wrong! My family also takes their car’s there and now all of a sudden they want to charge me $ 80 to check whats going on with the car even though last time they worked on it, one of the mechanics was trying to tell me what needed to be fixed and Kieth told him not to bother me with that information because I didn’t have the money to fix anything more at that time. I have being having bad vibes about this place for a long time! I have spent over $ 2,000 dollars in the past 6 months at Truman’s. NO MORE!

Took my auto in — asked for:
1. complete tune up
2. change all belts
3. Smog test
4. fix nonoperative rear light.
Results:
1. Belts were changed apparently okay.
2. Failed smog. I was told that they would adjust for better carburetor operation, or obtain a rebuild, or rebuild it themselves, and lastly look into other approaches.
3. Rear light was fixed, so they said (I’ve yet to verify)
4. Four working days transpired with no contact from them. I called to see what’s up? I was told no update could be provided since the mechanic on my auto was out attending to a family emergency. I asked if my auto had been worked on at all since four days earlier? No one knew. I insisted that calls be made to secure an update and that I be called back. Hours later at night I was contacted. Seems nothing was done at all. The shop elected to not do anything since they felt they couldn’t do it well enough. I was to take it somewhere else. When were they going to inform me of that?
I was angry. I had wasted four days… and only because of my persistent inquiries did I not waste more. I informed them I was coming the next day (day five of limbo) to pay up my bill and take the vehicle. But it gets even more weird.
When I showed up, I checked the tune up. The crankcase oil was still the old extremely black oil. The oil filter was still the old filter. I was amazed that these «mechanics» would run a smog test on old very black oil. What’s even more astonishing is they attempted to say that filthy oil would make no difference in the emissions. What a pile of crap! I then refused to talk, paid my bill, (they changed the oil and filter) then I left.
They left my dashboard engine temperature gauge disconnected (was working when I dropped it off), interior filthy with all sorts of litter, and for some reason I arrived with a fair amount of gas in my tank, and left with a surprising none showing. What happened to what was about $ 20 on the dash gage? Did they idle the vehicle so much that five gallons of gas was lost? I don’t think so. I have other ideas. And I won’t even go into how they claimed they couldn’t rotate my tires? Wow!!! That one was a corker for sure.
The result? Their claim to be complete auto care is a joke. I feel wrung out of a good portion of my money, and I lost a lot of valuable time.
If your stopping for more than the toilet and gas, bad move! Hold on — Just found out yesterday that the Mechanics working on the carburetor informed me that the air filter for the tune up was the old one, not changed! Directly I went and got the clean new air filter from these Clowns at Truman Auto Care. It’s obvious now, they are not competent and if they are they don’t want to be.
