Since 2000, I’ve offered my services as an editorial, wedding, portrait, and commercial photographer.

As of 2016, Morgantown, West Virginia will be my new home, and I’ll look forward to getting to know and photograph the community.

I’m a former U.S. Navy Photographer’s Mate and newspaper photojournalist.

After my two tours of duty in the U.S. Navy I worked for the Herald-​Palladium and Johnson Rauhoff Communications in St. Joseph, Michigan, the South Bend Tribune in South Bend, Indiana, and as a correspondent for the Elkhart Truth in Elkhart, Indiana.

My wife Jennifer is also a photographer, and she works for the University of West Virginia.

My clients have included Southwestern Michigan College, Lake Michigan College, Ancilla College, Elkhart General Hospital, Affinity Media Group, USA Today, Navistar, Oaklawn, G&G Media, Bloomberg News, Blue Moon Design Group, Inc., Universal Bearings LLC, Waste Away Group, Inc., and Kiel North America, LLC.

Welcome to Shephard Imageworks!

My name is Mark Shephard, and my wife is Jennifer.

Since 2000, Shephard Imageworks has offered our services as editorial, wedding, portrait, and commercial photographers in the Northern Indiana, Southwestern Michigan and surrounding areas.

We started Shephard Imageworks as partners so as to branch out into other types of photography while we both worked for different newspapers in the Michiana area.

Our clients have included Southwestern Michigan College, Lake Michigan College, Elkhart General Hospital, Affinity Media Group, USA Today, Navistar, Oaklawn, G&G Media, Bloomberg News, Blue Moon Design Group, Inc., Universal Bearings LLC, Waste Away Group, Inc., and Kiel North America, LLC.

We have photographed more than 90 weddings, and the majority of are other jobs have been shot exclusively on location.

Business Owner

Prior to starting the business I served two tours of duty in the U.S. Navy from which I was honorably discharged as a Photographer’s Mate Second Class in 1988. I then worked for the Herald-​Palladium and Johnson Rauhoff Communications in St. Joseph, Michigan, the South Bend Tribune in South Bend, Indiana, and as a correspondent for the Elkhart Truth in Elkhart, Ind.

I have been the primary photographer for Shephard Imageworks since day one, as Jennifer has been a photographer at the Elkhart Truth since 2002.
