Rick’s Bistro & Deli

Tried it for the first time hoping for something special close to home but was disappointed. Service was courteous, portion was generous, but the taste of my sandwich was nothing special or unique. They will need to find some point of distinction to survive, and as of now they don’t have one. Even the coleslaw side was blah.

The funny thing is, I had never been to this place before. I happen to walk in just after they had a grand opening. They have restaurants on either side of them and I usually aim for one of those restaurants. Today, I decided to give Rick’s a try. It was quiet, no one else was around… just the two gentlemen behind the counter. They were friendly enough. I ordered up my sandwich and peeked around at the back of the space. You wouldn’t know it, but this place is very big. The décor was like any other bistro/​café place, warm and friendly.
The selection was good and my sandwich was tastey. I’m givng these guys a good review because based on what I have seen and tasted so far, I think they’ll be good to go. If you work or live in the area and want something different, I recommend checking them out.

A new Italian Deli where Jonathan’s Kosher deli used to be. So far all I have tried are the lunch sandwiches, which are generous and very good. Quick friendly service, good selection of high quality italian meats & cheeses. There are several tables in the back and the menu talks about family style meals, we’ll have to try that next time.
