Aged and Mellowed Yoga Practice. We offer regular classes on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 10:00 am OR classes scheduled at your convenience in your home or office. We also offer Yoga via Skype! Hatha Yoga is taught by Holly Tempel, Mature Yoga Instructor with a focus on the breath, building strength and flexibility and working toward your personal edge in each pose. Our classes are taught in the newly renovated Morrison Town Hall in Historic Downtown Morrison. We welcome all adults who are seeking greater strength and flexibility but we specialize in those of a certain age who wish to remain strong and healthy at any age.
History
Established in 2013.
I established Beyond Spring Chickens Yoga after completing the Shambhava School of Yoga, Yoga Teacher Training course from the Eldorado Mountain Yoga Ashram. My intention with this Yoga practice is to present Hatha Yoga instruction in a safe and sequential manner so mature yoga students who are just beginning Yoga will comfortably build strength and flexibility. As you gain knowledge of Yoga postures, we will turn up the heat and build your practice into a life long pursuit. Aging in a healthy manner is imperative and I aim to present Yoga postures in a way that empowers the drive to survive and thrive as we grow older.

Hello! As the owner and instructor of Beyond Spring Chickens Yoga I welcome you and your body to the empowering practice of Hatha Yoga.
I have been practicing yoga for more than eighteen years and have found Hatha Yoga allows me to remain flexible and strong as I move toward my mid sixties. From May to August of 2012 I participated in and graduated from Shambhava School of Yoga, Hatha Teacher Training program offered at the Eldorado Mountain Yoga Ashram in Boulder, Colorado. In 2014 I completed Less than a month later, I broke L-3 (Lumbar) vertebrae in my lower back in an accident. After 3 months of bed rest, in January 2013, I began strength training with a trainer, and went back to water aerobics. By March 2013 I was back practicing Yoga. My doctors stressed that my good recovery was really helped by the great core strength I acquired through my Yoga practice. I believe that a regular Yoga practice will help us sustain strength and flexibility all through the aging process.
