On ⁹⁄₅ Dr. Glatt performed my Breast Reduction procedure.
I was pleasantly astonished by the results. Dr. Glatt exceeded any expectations I had and left me speechless. For 8 years I have been in physical pain due to the weight my breasts have put on my shoulders and neck. Emotionally, I was exhausted from the looks and comments people had every time they looked at me.
Since my surgery, and for the first time in years, I have not had a headache, neck or back pain. This whole experience has been life changing. There was no pain from the reduction and recovery has been much quicker than I expected.
Dr. Glatt focuses on what you want to focus on, he does not cross the boundary trying to sell you on another procedure unless YOU ask for it. In the past few days and as I meet people, they made comments such as: «Your eyes are so blue are you wearing colored contacts?», they finally started looking at my face instead of my bust line, It feels great.
Dr. Glatt’s staff is a great example of professionalism and team work. My experience with Dr. Glatt began before I even pick up the phone to make an appointment. His website is extremely informative, he uses the latest technology to help make your experience easier, his staff is an extension of his compassion and patience. You feel heard, and assured that you are in good hands.

DISCLAIMER: I have NOT been treated by Dr. Glatt. I am only writing this review as a firsthand observer and the best friend of one of his patients. My friend underwent a double mastectomy and had reconstruction by Dr. Glatt. This review is to chronicle the experience of having Dr. Glatt as our Doctor, her advocate, and her guide through this difficult time.
Having a cancer surgery is devastating enough; when you are faced with the option and then prospect of reconstruction/​plastic surgery, that is another animal altogether. Especially for someone who never would have otherwise even CONSIDERED plastic surgery, having to speak with a breed of Doctors that have such a personality stigma attached to their degree is daunting. She did her research, looked at results, and scheduled consultations. One doctor wanted to slice her abdominal wall and use the rolled up tissue to form new breasts, essentially leaving her muscle-​less, all the while referring repeatedly to the «playboy look» as if it were the standard by which all patients should aim for. But that sounded — oh, I dunno — um, UNETHICAL (insert face of outrage here) — for a medical physician to leave a person at a physical deficit for the sake of cosmetics. I mean, you know, she would LIKE to be able to pick up her kids again. Functionality is key in ANY surgery result. And Dr. Glatt, of course, knows this. His goals are function, physical comfort and emotional comfort. He assured my friend and her husband he could get her there. My friends felt good about their decision, and Dr. Glatt works closely with her cancer surgeon as a tag team on a regular basis, so the choice was natural on many levels. After meeting him in the prep room an hour before she went under, I was also put at ease.
His bedside manner is just perfect. I threw witty banter at him and he threw it right back; I find this incredibly important to alleviate tension and demonstrate relaxed confidence. Any doc with a sense of humor in such a delicate situation is A-​OK in my book. I watched as he marked her with a sharpie for reference, treating her and us (her husband and I) with diligence and respect. He assured her he would be seeing her every day in the hospital, promising he WOULD come, not specifying when because he wasn’t going to promise things unless he could actually PROMISE them. This is important because it showcases his reliability and honesty. Throughout this journey, Dr. Glatt continued to explain everything clearly, thoroughly, and with great sensitivity. His involvement with my friend — who slants toward hypochondria — was amazing and perfect. I had liked him immediately, but the more I witnessed his investment in her, the more confident I became that her doctors were going to hold her hands until the end. And he HAS.
Day 2 after surgery: Dr. Glatt wanted to check on the result and unwrapped her… not knowing what to expect, I was prepared for something — oh, I dunno — SOMEthing other than what was revealed. They looked amazing. Like they had looked the day before the sugery, with some incisions and bruising. My face twisted, wondering if there had REALLY been a surgery at all. He, too, was pleased. He had me help wrap her back up and I was flabbergasted at the amazing results I had just seen… And then on day TWO, even BETTER. So, recovery-​wise, she is flying along and doing as well as any patient could possibly do. But having had Dr. Glatt as her plastic surgeon was one of the most pivotal decisions in this whole process. Her entire team was amazing and worked like a well oiled machine, and she is doing all the better for it.
So, as my role in this was, treatment-​wise, peripheral, I can only attest to my observation. But be assured of THIS: I will recommend this man to anyone who asked me for a good referral of a Plastic Surgeon. I’m glad he was good… because I’m REALLY protective of her… and I can get feisty… and I have a badass uppercut… and I wouldn’t want him to have to give himself a nosejob… just sayin’.

As a mother of four children in my early forties, the last thing I wanted to do was put myself out of commission in the name of vanity. Not only did Dr. Glatt and his ever pleasant staff put my mind at ease beforehand, but were equally as caring for the year following as well. I had an unsightly C section scar that is no longer and the residual scar left after my plastic surgery is barely noticeable! I have two friends who had similar surgeries performed by other doctors and mine, by far, is much less noticeable.
If you are contemplating any type of plastic surgery, look no further. The surgeon you are looking for has been found!
